Today on the 5: Both Chris Stuckmann and Patrick (H) Willems recently made videos were they expressed deep concerns about the future of films. While both individuals make really good points about the current state of movies, I don't think movies are in nearly as much trouble as they seem to.

Today on the 5: Lando and I have talked about the incredible game Baldur's Gate 3 many times on our longer shows, and for good reason. One aspect of my approach to it is very different than his, and that's my reluctance to look outside of the game for strategies in how to play it. 

Today on the 5: I've been using the Boox Palma device for a little over a month now. While I wouldn't call this a full scale review, I figured I've been using it long enough to talk about my experience with it so far.

Today on the 5: I decided to watch a movie released in the middle of the transition point between decades of horror, 1990. The movie is called Mirror Mirror, and it's better than I was expecting it to be. It also feels like a parallel film to Beetlejuice.

Today on the 5: At the beginning of the week I interviewed Meg Hafdahl and Kelly Florence about their latest book, The Science Of Agatha Christie. I then realized I had not reviewed the book itself, and while my opinion of it is probably easy to guess I felt I should talk about it anyway! 

Today on the 5: In a week packed with crazy stories in technology, one that was shocking yet unsurprising was the collapse of Nothing Chat. Even if this solution had worked as advertised, it would never have lasted that long! 

Today on the 5: Over the weekend I came across a movie called Crime Zone from 1989. In a selection manner that I used all the time when I was younger, I picked it based on the fantastic cover art. While it's definitely not doing anything new in the narrative department, I still had a good time with it!
