Today on the 5: In a typical case of following internet rabbit holes, I found out about a series from 2001 called Robocop: Prime Directives. The series is a 4 part miniseries attempting to be a direct sequel to the original film. I've watched the first two parts, and so far it's an interesting creation. This review is for the first episode, Dark Justice.

Today on the 5: Lando and I recently finished playing through Gotham Knights. It's ended up being a very mixed bag, with as much good as bad. If nothing else, it made me like Red Hood a lot more than I ever did before!

Today on the 5: Elon Musk has recently declared that inactive Twitter accounts will soon begin to be purged, although typically the details on how this would work are missing. This announcement has generated a lot of upset among people, and in at least one way that surprised me.

Today on the 5: The second series of Star Wars Visions was released last week, and I've watched the entire run. It is an immensely wonderful series, and provides further evidence that allowing creators to move away from well trodden ground results in fantastic new material.

Today on the 5: Over the weekend I rented Renfield, the vampire horror comedy movie starring Nic Cage and Nicholas Hoult. I'd read a lot of mixed reviews of the film, so I wasn't sure what to expect. While the movie has a few uneven elements, overall I had a great time with it!

Today on the 5: Wired posted an article with a headline that grabbed my attention regarding the future of Star Wars. After reading it, I think maybe there is some bit of hope for my interest in new material from this franchise.

Today on the 5: California lawmakers are advancing a bill that would require companies like Google and Meta to share some of the profits they make from news based advertising with local news outlets. The bill aims to salvage local news businesses, but even in a best case scenario I'm not sure it will do all that much good.
