Rejoice, Packers Fans: The real games are about to start! Chris and David discuss the team's roster moves, make their predictions for the coming season (spoiler alert: both guys see the Pack back in the post-season). Our duo also talk about the Aaron Rodgers interview in ESPN the Magazine and set the first betting lines of the season. It's another long one, so pack a lunch and crack open a beverage.

Matthew Stafford got a new contract so when is it Rodgers' turn?  How much is he worth?  Also discussed are Zeke Elliott's appeal hearing and Julian Edelman's injury.  Ahmad Brooks is your newest Packer.  What can the vet outside linebacker bring to the pass rush?  Is his signing a sign that the attitude is changing in Green Bay about veteran free agents?  With the final preseason game around the corner, which players have stood out and which need this final audition to save their NFL life?  Will Mike McCarthy's "captain of hope" statement become the mantra for the 2017 Packers?  That and more on this latest edition of the 2-Pack Podcast!

The Packers lost the game on the scoreboard, but got some more answers about some of their young players from this game.  Who stood out and who took steps back?  Have some of these young players made enough of a case to make the final roster?  Is the lack of pass rush concerning?  Young defensive backs are stealing the show on defense.  Will it continue into the regular season?  Who needs this last preseason game the most?  Is the Packers offensive line going to survive this season or do they need some reinforcements?  It's all here on the latest Pulse of the Pack podcast!

Chris and Dave have made no bones about their, shall we say, diminished enthusiasm for preseason games. But with the practice slate nearly complete, the boys share their takeaways from the Packers loss to Denver and what, if anything, fans can glean from what we've seen so far in August. The only lingering question is whether Aaron Rodgers or Chris and Dave are more excited about the exhibition season coming to a close.

The guys talk Bulaga's injury and the line of succession at right tackle, whether they would trade Cobb for a pass rusher, and hit a couple more twitter questions. Dusty has a solid rant on Jeff Janis before all is said and done.

Well, half the preseason is, blessedly, over. Packers move to 2-0 with a win over The Washington Football Team. Chris and Dave stifle their yawns long enough to highlight those Packers who shined and, well, those who also played. The guys also talk about the rule changes coming to the NFL this season, and close with an extended pop culture chat.

The Packers got the win in Washington and saw Aaron Rodgers and the offense in action.  The opening scoring drive was as impressive as could be, capped by a touchdown to Martellus Bennett.  How optimistic should we be about the Packers O at this point?  The defense also turned in a solid night, led by the young defensive backs battling for roster spots.  Is this defense deep enough and ready to step up and make a title push?  Are the injuries mounting too quickly?  Jacob and Jason break down this week's game and look ahead to next week's game at the Denver Broncos.

As the Packers prepare for this weekend's preseason game in Washington, a look back at the last week in Packers news.  How is the injury report looking?  Based on the hits Damarious Randall and Malachi Dupre took, is the NFL doing enough to enforce those types of plays?  Is the Trevor Davis hype real or way too soon?  Is there a running back controversy?  Seattle's Michael Bennett sat in protest during the national anthem during the Seahawks preseason game.  Will Martellus do something similar in the Nation's Capital?  And with Zeke Elliott's appeal of a 6-game suspension coming, does Roger Goodell have too much power and how do the players and NFLPA take it away at the next CBA?
