Packers Talk

The longest four weeks of the year are over, and Chris and Dave wrap the preseason and look ahead to the regular season. The fellas agree that the next 17 weeks are anything but a formality and expect twists, turns, and surprises. They talk about the signing of James Jones, discuss who should be the second QB behind Aaron Rodgers, pick over the roster decisions, before looking ahead to the 2015 schedule and making their patented Wild Ass Guesses concerning the Packers win total.

Posting its first show in 2005, Packers Therapy is the longest-running Packers podcast on the Internet. Hosts Chris and Dave began the show as a way of capturing the spirited chats the two co-workers had about the team around the office. The two have no pretense about being experts: they are just two opinionated shareholders who love the team, follow it closely, but don't always see the Packers fortunes eye to eye.

The guys encourage comments and questions via their Twitter feed @PackersTherapy and read and respond to as many as they can during each show.

Chris and Adam first discuss the injuries from the Week 3 tilt with the Philadelphia Eagles and rant on how Coach Mike McCarthy's stubbornness is to blame for all of them. In light ranting, the guys then talk about some of the positives of camp and take a stab of which players will make the final 53 and who's job in on the line against the New Orleans Saints. Last, but not least, the annual "Ol' Bag of Donuts Season Predictions and Prognostications" close out this week's show.

The injury to Randall Cobb is picked over, as is the prospect of a receiver corps led by Davante Adams, the play of rookie Brent Hundley, the battle for the third running back, and the boys meditate on why the Packers special teams are anything but.

Pulse of the Pack takes a look at the debacle at Lambeau that was preseason game three.  The Packers lost the game and nearly lost a few more key pieces in Randall Cobb, Bryan Bulaga and Micah Hyde.  From the looks of what we saw, the Packers have some work to do before they open the regular season against the Chicago Bears.  Jacob and Jason discuss what went wrong and where the silver linings were.  Roster battles are heating up and the Packers will trim their roster from 90 to 75 players.  Listen in to find out who is likely to stay for another week and who is headed out the door.  With only two weeks until the season opener, you won't want to miss this installment of Pulse of the Pack!
