Learn a little about one of the Jesuit priests martyred between 1642-1649 in upper NY State and Lower Ontario, Canada – St. John de Brebeuf, some of the excruciating tortures he underwent in his martyrdom, and how he persevered despite the pain.

Why is it so hard to keep commitments to be prayer, to be consistent, to persevere? Listen as Fr. Mattingly describes the primary two obstacles that hold us back from perseverance, and different ways that these obstacles make appearances in our lives.

The ingratitude of nine healed lepers in the Gospel today is astounding. But are we aware of our own ingratitude to the Lord for gifts that far outpace even the healing of something as debilitating as leprosy?
