This last weekend at D23, Lucasfilm made a few announcements about the upcoming second season of "Star Wars: Andor". Join me I discuss what was revealed...
The movie is no longer a theory; last weekend, "The Mandalorian" showrunner Jon Favreau announced they have begun filming Lucasfilm's return to the big screen! Announced last year, "The Mandalorian and Grogu" (which is the actual title) will continue the adventures of Din Djarin and his adopted son in a precarious galaxy. What will happen in the film? Join me as I responsibly speculate...
This week on Random Trek, Captain Ingle and I set a course for one of the most entertaining crossovers in Star Trek history! While investigating a mysterious portal in the 24th century, Ensign Brad Boimler is accidentally sucked not only back in time but also from animation to live-action! This phenomenon deposits him in the time of Captain Pike and the crew of the original USS Enterprise, a group which the young ensign holds in very high regard. How will he get home? Join us as we go boldly!
Yesterday was day one of D23, Disney's big convention and expo. As they do at every D23, creators and executives present details regarding upcoming projects, and this year was no exception. Lucasfilm has finally given us the first trailer for Skeleton Crew. Join me as I share my thoughts.
The next Star Wars streaming series, "Skeleton Crew" will debut on Disney+ on December 3rd of this year. The show takes place at the same time as "The Mandalorian" and will therefore be part of the unofficial "Mandoverse", so named by the fans. The question that always comes to the mind of a Star Wars obsessive like myself is: What familiar characters will appear and what will this series add to the overall story of the galaxy far, far away? Join me as I theorize.
Star Wars: The Acolyte ended a few weeks ago, and even now I'm still trying to digest the heavy subject matter presented in the show. Our next series from that galaxy far, far away is the upcoming Skeleton Crew, which is described as a throwback adventure series in the tradition of 1980s classics such as "E.T." and "The Goonies". When four young kids in the time of The Mandalorian get lost somewhere in the galaxy, they have to use their wits to navigate their way back home. Join me as we discuss the possibilities this new story might bring!
It's no great secret that the online discourse surrounding Star Wars has gotten rather heated in the last few years. The rise of modern social media platforms has given a voice to many segments of the fandom, both for good and for ill. Joining me today to discuss these recent developments are my good friends Chris and Robert Adams, the host of fellow Star Wars channel The Cinefanatics!
This week on our show, your intrepid captain and I set a course for the 23rd century and the continuing voyages of the USS Discovery. When one of the mysterious red bursts appears over the homeworld of Mr. Saru, the crew must determine the significance of the phenomenon while the aforementioned Saru finds himself torn between his loyalty to Starfleet and his loyalty to his people. Join us as we go boldly!
For a long time we as fans assumed that red lightsabers had red crystals, thus giving them their distinctive color. A few years ago, the Darth Vader comic series revealed that a red crystal is not naturally occurring, but rather the result of a Dark Side user pouring their anger and hate into a normal crystal and "bleeding" it red. Join me as I explore this new concept.
After the Galactic Empire's defeat in Return of the Jedi, the shattered remnants eventually regrouped and formed the First Order. When this concept was first introduced in the Star Wars saga it seemed very straightforward. As time has gone on more and more of the story has been revealed, the formation of the First Order is not as simple as we originally thought. Join me as I examine the more complicated nature of this story.
