Everyone Sucks Here Podcast
Introducing “Cliff Notes.”
Rough around the edges, MINI EPISODES, featuring off the cuff commentary, opinions, and intriguing ideas, brought to you in between the longer produced episodes.
A laid-back, uncut hangout session with the host, Amir, in which he openly shares how he sees the world and what’s been on his mind.
In this first episode, Amir ruminates on how capitalism and consumerism have created an empty and inauthentic individual who could learn a thing or two from morphine loving mice.
We talk mutual aid, mental health, car wrecks and free markets, superheroes, rugged individualism, the music industry’s artificial nature, what the value of having kids might be, bootstraps, alligators, snakes and of course, bash us some capitalism along the way…
Throw it on for some insight into why our culture kinda sucks.
Music:
Intro: “Excess,” by New Candys.
Amir sits down with Brian Gonnella, artist and co-host of the podcast, “Everyone Sucks Here,” to discuss the beliefs of rust-belt Trump voters and how those beliefs can be re-framed from a leftist perspective to then deprogram CHUDS (Trumpers).
They discuss and joke around about everything from Gramsci and False Consciousness to Stone Cold Steve Austin and Amir’s COINTELPRO connections.
Could Pages Against the Machine be one big alphabet agency front?

In this episode, Amir dives deep into his take on the upcoming 2020 election.
He defends his stance on why participation is necessary as a strategy, and why non-participation just cedes power further to the Right, which has led us to the point of an electoral referendum on fascism.
We explore the much cliched "Lesser of Two Evils," complex and answer listener questions. Also, we play the always fun game, "Fascist or not a Fascist," to determine once and for all, where Trump stands on the political spectrum.
A fun episode for those with a dark sense of humor and an hour and a half to kill.
In this long-awaited episode, Amir returns to candidly discuss cultural aspects that have allowed Donald Trump and the establishment to continually manipulate the American public. Taking a break from the analysis of Trump's Mt. Rushmore speech, we focus in on political language and how specific words are misused to misrepresent ideas and subvert truth to support the idea of a culture war. You'll even get to hear just how far off-topic Amir can go before realizing he's basically doing a completely different show than what he set out to do.
