And some things to discuss on the Islanders front! Reflecting on two whole calendar years of Patrick Roy and discussing the official confirmation that their AHL affiliate, the Bridgeport Islanders, will be moving to Hamilton, Ontario for the 2026-27 season.

  • Why Are We Sympathizing With Nicolas Maduro?
Something that I won’t understand in 2026? Why people like new NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani are sympathizing with Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro after being captured by the US. Then again this isn’t all that surprising.

As always, all opinions expressed on this podcast are solely my own.

  • Who Will Penn State's QB1 be in 2026? And Happy CFP Season!
A State of The Program, if you will, for the Penn State Nittany Lions football program entering 2026 and coming off a very disappointing season that at least ended on a good note. A victory over Clemson in the Pinstripe Bowl last week makes that fairly easy to say.

But now there are a lot more questions than answers entering the 2026 offseason, especially with a new coach in Iowa State's Matt Campbell coming in and with an apparent QB change too. With Ethan Grunkemeyer entering the transfer portal with three years of eligibility left and Drew Allar's college career over, there's plenty of speculation of who will come in to be Happy Valley's newest signal caller come the start of the 2026 season.

Plus, how is Bowl Season and the College Football Playoff going as we enter a new year? Find out on the first Pags' Perspective of 2026!
