They discuss efforts in the UK to build a mass mobilisation of support to stop Britain’s involvement and participation in Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza and assess the effectiveness of the tactics used across the movement, from boycotts and marches to permanent occupations and direct action.

But given Britain’s continued support for Israel, from refusing to implement a full arms embargo to continuing to send RAF spy flights over Gaza from the British base at RAF Akrotiri in Cyprus, Ahmed questions whether efforts have indeed been enough.

They also deep dive into the attempts of the British state to restrict and repress the Palestine solidarity movement and the democratic right to protest in Britain and also discuss the roots of Zionism and whether calling for Zionism to be dismantled is an effective framing and approach for supporting Palestinian rights today.

Jeremy Corbyn, independent MP for Islington North, today introduced a bill into UK parliament to secure a public inquiry into Britain’s role in the genocide in Gaza.

The former Labour leader is demanding transparency around UK military, economic and political cooperation with Israel, including weapons, intelligence and the use of RAF Akrotiri on Cyprus.

He has received support from a range of independent, Labour, Green, SNP and other MPs. Corbyn says a cover-up is going on into British complicity and adds a Chilcot-style inquiry is the only way to get to the truth.

He slams his former colleagues in the Labour Party including Keir Starmer, David Lammy and John Healey, saying they should be investigated for overseeing UK complicity.

Ahmed Alnaouq and Matt Kennard discuss what's next for besieged Gaza as it comes under the control of Israeli military and US mercenaries.

They delve into the new US-Israeli aid programme in Gaza, which has seen massacres of starving Palestinians trying to receive food.

This is a way, they say, to displace more Palestinians with the ultimate intention of full ethnic cleansing to a third country.

They also discuss the record of genocidal statements by senior Israeli officials and Benjamin Netanyahu’s Gaza 2035 plan to turn the Palestinian territory into a Dubai-style tech hub. 

Israel has long coveted the oil and gas off Gaza’s coast, they add, which includes 1.1 trillion cubic feet of natural gas and nearly 2 billion barrels of oil.

This is a land grab but also a resource grab.

Shawan Jabarin is the General Director of Palestinian human rights organisation, Al-Haq. In 2011, Jabarin was appointed to the Human Rights Watch Middle East Advisory Board and in 2013, he was elected as a Commissioner for the International Commission of Jurists (ICJ).

Palestinians are being starved to death in Gaza after Israel has denied the entry of any food or aid into the besieged enclave for more than two months.

“For over 60 days, not a single crumb of food or aid has entered Gaza. We have no energy left to fetch water, search for firewood, or even flee from one place to another. Parents now wish for death—just to escape the agony of watching their children wither to bone. This is slow, collective punishment in front of the world’s eyes,” says Palestine Deep Dive contributor Ahmed Dremly who lives in Gaza.

Nearly 290,000 of Gaza’s children are on ‘the brink of death’ due to famine, with at least 57 Palestinians having already died from starvation according to Gaza’s government media office.

Speaking to Ahmed Alnaouq for the first news show in Palestine Deep Dive’s new studio, Palestinian political analyst and writer Muhammad Shehada says, “Israel will continue the starvation, the famine, because one of its core goals is to empty out the Gaza Strip, to finish off the Gaza question. To tell people that if you want to survive, then leave Gaza.”

Speaking to former UN staffer and journalist, Mark Seddon, Dr Ashrawi, weighs in on the West's role in this campaign of extermination and focuses in particular on the role being played by Keir Starmer's Labour Government, saying,

“Exactly I think accountability should be applied across the board; it is not just Israel that is carrying out a genocide, those governments that are continuing to supply it with weapons and continuing to allow it to use its bases, like the British base in Cyprus, those governments that are supplying it with intelligence like the British government. So these people are definitely complicit in the genocide itself, and they cannot escape it. Sooner or later they will have to be held to account. There will be consequences, they cannot continue with this disguising reality and attempting to circumvent what is happening and so on. This complicity now is very clear. And they have to understand, that they will be considered part of a genocide that took place. And right now they might be able to intimidate, maybe, the ICC or the ICJ but I think at one point they will see themselves also held accountable before these international courts.”

She also has words of warning for the leaders of the Arab World, who continue to fail the Palestinian people in this their hour of desperate need.

To obtain answers to these questions, the former UK Labour Party leader is demanding a “Chilcot-style” inquiry into the British government’s participation in the Gaza genocide.

The Chilcot Report, officially titled the Iraq Inquiry, was an independent public inquiry into the UK's involvement in the 2003 Iraq War, chaired by Sir John Chilcot.

The Report exposed intelligence failures, lack of planning and questioned the legal basis for the war.

Corbyn said he remains “constantly astonished” by the attitude of successive UK governments, which continue to enable Israel’s assaults on Gaza, an onslaught he describes as “a Second World War-Style carpet bombing.”

However if the government refuses such an inquiry, Corbyn says he will not be deterred from continuing to demand one by billing further parliamentary debates.

He also says an alternative would be a public inquiry inspired by the Russell Tribunal on the Vietnam War, “so we will have an open process with expert opinions, witnesses and evidence.”

Corbyn urged people everywhere to keep up the pressure on their governments to stop the genocide in Gaza. 

He emphasised the need to use every available avenue— street protests, raising awareness and protesting against Elbit Systems weapons factories in the UK in particular— to demand justice and accountability.

Pink Floyd rock legend Roger Waters responds to news from Gaza that Israel has massacred over 400 Palestinians in renewed rounds of bombardment and sends a message to Palestinian student Mahmoud Khalil.

Asked what his message is to Mahmoud Khalil and other students like him who have been arrested recently by immigration enforcement officers in the U.S. and are being threatened with deportation, Roger responds, “Keep doing what you were doing before they arrested you!”

“This is Gestapo tactics, this is fascism at work. Years ago in interviews I was saying the fight for universal human rights, specifically relating to the people of Palestine, will be fought on the campuses of north America, how right I was going to be I had no idea!”

Amid the horrors being inflicted on Gaza, Roger questions whether Israel’s genocide may eventually backfire: “What I hope is the genocide of the Palestinian people will prove to be the Achilles Heel in the monster of the Western hegemony with its mask off which we’re watching operate.”

“The hole in Trump’s armour and the hole in the Israeli lobby’s armour is their evil. The fact that they’re so undeniably and appallingly evil in every way maybe their achilles heel, and they may fail. They may fall over.”

A new UN report finds Israel has committed widespread and systematic sexual violence against Palestinians, including rape, torture and the deliberate destruction of reproductive infrastructure.

The 49-page report titled “‘More than a human can bear’: Israel’s systematic use of sexual, reproductive and other forms of gender-based violence since 7 October 2023” incriminates Israel to the level of crimes against humanity and genocidal acts.

The 49-page report titled “‘More than a human can bear’: Israel’s systematic use of sexual, reproductive and other forms of gender-based violence since 7 October 2023” incriminates Israel to the level of crimes against humanity and genocidal acts.

In this eye-opening episode, we dive deep into the report’s findings, assessing whether the report goes far enough in exposing Israel’s widespread sexual violence against Palestinians and ask why it has taken so long for such a report to be produced in light of the widespread evidence.

We also examine the media reaction to it in the West but also in Israel where the report has had much backlash, with Israel subsequently lashing out at the UN and pushing to impose sanctions against the UN Human Rights Council in conjunction with the Trump administration.
