I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Video content is one of the fastest ways to connect authentically with your audience.
But if you’re not comfortable in front of the lens, it’s not going to work for you. But what if you could be the Steph Curry of video marketing? You don’t get to be “the greatest shooter in NBA history” by accident. The Golden State Warriors guard doesn’t just walk out onto the basketball court and crush it.
Curry has a specific warmup routine. He dribbles two basketballs at once, takes over 100 shots, practices one-on-one drills and even takes “tunnel shots” from the hallway connecting the locker rooms to the court. And that’s not to mention the practice sessions he does with the team.
It’s not just limited to sports, either. Any top performer will tell you that preparation makes the difference between peak performance and falling flat.
So when you create a business video, what’s YOUR prep routine? This week, I’m going to share my video content prep tips—gleaned from over 25 years of trial and error. With these tips, you’ll be all warmed up to walk on camera and film like a video content marketing rockstar.
I’ve got some quick video content marketing prep tips for you—and video time codes in case you want to dive in deeper!
