If your day starts with a coffee, then this podcast is for you. I had the honor of sitting down with Stefan, the owner/operator of Suprema Coffee Roastery, to talk about all things, well, coffee. He is one of the smartest and hard working individuals in the business, and this episode is just oozing with coffee science. It was a true privilege to sit down and talk shop with him, and we hope you enjoy the show!
In real time, this podcast including "pre-show" lasted from 6 P.M. until 2:30 A.M. it was an honor having Piggy Back Treats Company come over and do the show. Their goal is to reduce food waste by "piggy-backing" with other local businesses and family run farms by rescuing usable, human grade foods, and then making them into healthy treats for pets! These people are absolutely amazing and this episode was nothing short of a blast. These are also the highest quality and most healthy animal treats you can get your hands on, so I suggest you join the movement. I'll let the podcast speak for itself, ENJOY!
Where do I begin? High AF on caffeine (and I mean HIGH), I entered the 1-900 warehouse deep in Kensington for a "pre show" tour of Ryan's place to see where all the ice cream magic happens. I was instantly blown away. The set up, the machinery, the cleanliness, the knowledge, and just everything combined was immaculate. We were then joined by Cuzzy at the roundtable, "welfare pre-check style", and immediately dove into conversation. LISTEN UP: this is extremely informative, so do your best to ignore my rambling, stuttering , over caffeinated self, and enjoy what these men have to say, because they had A LOT to say. I came out of this podcast having a huge sense of respect, and an even greater sense of admiration for these guys. They are masters at the ice cream craft.
In Episode 4 we sat down with Kenny of "Human Robot" & N.A. Poe of "Poe's Sandwich Joint" in the actual brewing lab of "Human Robot". We drank some great beers, and had equally great conversations. It was an honor, as well as an educational podcast, as we talked about business, life, hardships, and overcoming those very hardships. I hope you enjoy the episode as much as I did!
At an undisclosed location in East Falls, I was able to sit down and talk with with David Lee - The internet sensation that is also known as "Pizza Jawn" on Instagram. We drank tequila, we talked dough, and we dove into who "Pizza Jawn" really is. He is a great dude inside and out, and I'm sure you will get as much enjoyment out of this as I did.
Where are all my chili infused honey lovers at?! I had a great talk with Mike Kurtz, creator of "Mike's Hot Honey" today. We talked about him as a child in Massachusetts, all the way up to where he is now (internationally known, and no more calluses on his hands). It was truly an honor to hear his story first hand, and I hope you enjoy the podcast as much as I did!
