Ever wonder if you’re missing out on anything when you’re watching anime or any animated content or cartoons not in it’s native language?  Should I be watching anime in Japanese?  Can I watch anime in English?  Are there anime available in Spanish??  What other languages can I watch anime in?  Have these thoughts ever cross your mind?  If yes, then you’ve come to the right podcast episode.  In this podcast episode we give our opinions on all of these things (and more!) and we talk about the pros and cons on each version of anime we like to watch. 

Japanese Animation dubbed in English used to be hard to come by.  But now with Japanese anime becoming more and more available in North America in English for streaming – whether it’s Crunchyroll, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, etc. – we’re also seeing an increase in the different language options we have available to view our anime in.  Do you find yourself with a preference in which audio language you watch your anime in?  Have you ever wondered if you’re missing out on the original language jokes or puns or messaging the original content creators were trying to portray?  Or are you strapped for time and prefer to multi-task and watch anime in a language that’s native to you to better enjoy the anime.  There is no right or wrong way to watch!  But we do have some great discussions on why we prefer one over the other.  Listen in and join us for this conversation as we discuss what dive deeper into our preferences when it comes to watching anime.

Biggest highlight we have to talk about yet though is the current climate and conditions of the California convention scene.  Are CA cons making a come back?  Are you ready to go back to cons?  With the latest announcement of SilCon with Adam Savage convention coming back to San Jose’s McEnry Convention Center we reflect on all these questions and more.  Did you catch that latest announcement?  We would love to hear what everyone else is thinking as well.  Will you be coming back to a con near you?  Or will you continue to shelter in place and keep your distance from these crowd filled events?  Will we see more conventions start trending in the in-person physical fashion or will cons continue to be virtual?  Or maybe we’ll see a hybrid of physical in person and virtual conventions.  It’s a hot topic right now as everything is still up in the air.  What are your thoughts and where do you see us all going from here?
