The Panthers closed out the regular season home schedule with sweeps of UIC and Valpo at the McLeod Center. UNI now closes the year with three straight on the road. This weekend the Panthers are at Missouri State and Southern Illinois before a regular season finale at Drake next Wednesday. Panthers enter the final 3 games of the season with a 1 game lead on Drake for the top spot in the conference.

The Panthers moved to 2-0 with a win over Milwaukee on Thursday night 87-68. All five Panthers starters scored in double-digit figures as Northern Iowa shot an astonishing 60.4% from the field and 50% from the three-point arc. The Panthers also dished out 21 assists to Milwaukee's five and smothered its opponents on defense with seven total blocks. Panthers continue wrap up a 3 game homestand with a 1pm tip off Sunday against UC Irvine.

The Panthers opened the season with a convincing win over the Dubuque Spartans, 96-54 at the McLeod Center. 13 Panthers saw the floor including six who made their Panther debut. Tytan Anderson and RJ Taylor each had 13 points while Leon Bond chipped in 12 and Max Weisbrod had 11. Panthers continue a 3 game homestand with a 7pm tip off Thursday against UW-Milwaukee.

The Panthers finished the first half of conference play just as they started, unbeaten. UNI went on the road and defeated Illinois State and Bradley to move to 9-0 in conference play. This week the Panthers return to the McLeod Center on homecoming weekend to face Evansville and Indiana State.
