Pappy's Flatshare

Kiri Pritchard-McLean, Nish Kumar and Josh Widdicombe are the triple threat of guests to join Pappy's in this first episode of Series 8 - recorded at the wonderful 2017 Machynlleth Comedy Festival. Why three guests you ask? Good question, but they blend like the grape varieties in a fine Bordeaux for a hugely fun show featuring wine, donkeys, orgasm chests, art, someone nearly being sick (TW!) and cameos from Josie Long and Mach Fest head honcho Henry Widdicombe. Mach Fest is a truly fantastic comedy festival and we're really excited to be doing another Flatshare Slamdown there this year on 5th May. https://machcomedyfest.co.uk/show/2018/pappys-pappys-flatshare-slamdown-4/ Also: new series = new beg for you to help us reach a wider audience! So do spread the word about the show to your friends and enemies. Finally, vast thanks to everyone who has donated money to Flatshare Slamdown! You're brilliant! If you'd like to join them you can do so here: https://www.comedy.co.uk/podcasts/flatshare_slamdown/donate/

Christmas Special 2017 It's Chriiiistmaaaaaaaaaas! ...and Elis James and Andy Zaltzman are the gifts that keep on giving in this typically, nay, traditionally shambolic and festive episode, stuffed (like a badly prepared turkey) with anger, carol singing, accordion music, Advocaat, Gold, Frankincense and a chainsaw. Want to give us an Xmas gift? Some people think that giving cold hard cash as a Christmas present is a bit of a faux pas. Luckily, we don't think that at all, so if you want to slip some money into our stocking you can do so at comedy.co.uk/pfs/donate (try not to picture us dancing for you in stockings as you do this). If Xmas has left you stoney broke, fear not, we'd also love the gift of exposure (try not to picture us exposing ourselves as you read this). Help us spread the word about the show: gift it to a friend, secret-santa it to your entire following on social media... or why not make a loved one the offering of all the Flatslam in existence (just put the URL comedy.co.uk/pfs into a Christmas card - sure it'll look cheap, but they'll thank you for it eventually). Links! Check out Elis' rather spartan website - www.elisjames.co (which includes a link to his Radio X podcast with John Robins). And johnrobins.com/gigs has John's tour, which Elis plugs in the show. Check out Andy's website - andyzaltzman.co.uk - and if you fancy going to see his London show (on till January 6th 2018) you can get tickets here: https://sohotheatre.com/shows/andy-zaltzman-2017-the-certifiable-history/ Find out more about Martin 'Snow' White's brilliant band the Mystery Fax Machine Orchestra - and buy their new album at: https://mysteryfaxmachineorchestra.wordpress.com/ While you're at it, please do also 'like' our Facebook page, follow Pappy's and Producer Ben on Twitter @pappystweet @_ben_walker and visit Pappy's Tumblr.

Aisling Bea and Steve Hall are Pappy's housemates for a special episode recorded at the 2017 Latitude Festival. As well as battling it out to see who has to clean the fridge, the teams look forward to Fleet Foxes and discuss the relative merits of Mumford & Sons and their takeover of the festival main stage under the guise of 'Gentlemen Of The Road'. Also... making hot things cold, a Roonerism Spound and a sexy, noisy Beef Brothers. Oooh yes, I like that! Technically this is the October episode, so sorry it is nearly a month and half late! Huge thanks to everyone who - despite our tardy timekeeping - has donated money to Flatshare Slamdown - it is hugely appreciated. If you'd like to join them you can do so here: www.comedy.co.uk/pfs/donate And if you can't bung us any cash, then you can still help us a whole heap by spreading the word about the show to likely listeners-who-don't-know-it-yet - thanks!

Rose Matafeo and John Robins join Pappy's for a bumper episode - so bumper in fact that it is arriving at your ears more than a month late! Sorry! It's many attractions include impromptu Bill Withers singing, Rose drawing a blanc, John eulogising about Marie Rose sauce, Matthew threatening to call the whole show off if people don't behave, Ben misbehaving and Beef Brothers getting a little bit too 'real' for Tom.Huge thanks to everyone who has donated money to Flatshare Slamdown - it is very very much appreciated. If you'd like to join them you can do so here:https://www.comedy.co.uk/pfs/donateAnd as ever, your word-of-mouth help thrusting the show into potential new listeners' peripheral vision is also brilliant - thanks!

Josh Widdicombe and Joe Wilkinson are Pappy's guests in a show recorded in June 2015 which Producer Ben has been psyching himself up to edit ever since. It features the first ever live Quickfire Round jingle, a couple of good games and a vat full of white wine. Also watch out for evolutionary biologist Simon Watt making an impromptu appearance as a cricket-style 'runner', assisting one of the teams when the official house guest becomes somewhat debilitated! Simon was at the recording having earlier made a fully planned guest appearance on the Series 6, Episode 2 of Do The Right Thing (https://www.comedy.co.uk/podcasts/dotherightthing/series6_2/), Producer Ben's other podcast. If you'd like to throw a bit of money at Flatshare Slamdown we'll be very grateful indeed and you can do so here: https://www.comedy.co.uk/podcasts/flatshare_slamdown/donate/ Of course, any word-of-mouth help publicising the show in general is also brilliant - thanks!

Series 7, Episode 3 (Sweep The Chimney)Beattie Edmondson and Richard Herring are Pappy's house guests and Isy Suttie makes a special guest appearance in a show recorded in May 2016 that features some of the longest and most drawn out rounds we've ever devised! But fun nonetheless with knives, jugs, catchphrases and at least once threatened punch. If you're a fan of the show and would like to bung us a few quid for this episode and the many others we've spewed out in the past, you can do so at https://www.comedy.co.uk/pfs/donateOf course, your help spreading the word about this episode and the show in general is also brilliant and very welcome - thanks!

Roisin Conaty and Joel Dommett are Pappy's house guests in a show that features high singing, confusing listing, one testicle and Matthew having a breakdown. And, as you'll hear in the podcast, we've now set up the means for listeners to bung us a few quid if they enjoy this episode and the many others we've spewed out in the past - you can find out more about that here: www.comedy.co.uk/pfs/donateOf course, your help spreading the word about this episode and the show in general is also hugely valuable to us - thanks!

Tom Allen and Phil Wang join Pappy's in the first episode of the new series! Keen eared listeners will spot a few refinements, additions and omissions to the classic #flatslam format......not really! It's the same old gubbins, lovingly packaged this time round into a convoluted radiator-themed flat-centric argument. Within you will find really hot rapping, hard-hitting moral lessons, a toilet-based beef and high scoring agogo. As it is a new series, your help spreading the word to the as-yet-unconverted is especially helpful!

Here's the final 'special' episode made out of live show intros to recordings of Flatshare Slamdown from the last series (the fun bits before the podcast itself starts). Brace yourself to hear about various types of fake egg, the glamour of photocopiers, Fanshaw attempting to crack his own version of S-Town, Achilles, inverse Mum slams and potatoes.Alongside Pappy's you'll enjoy the dulcet tones of Kevin Eldon, Ed Gamble, Eleanor Tiernan and Lloyd Langford. We're back with a new series next month! Spread the word!

Here's another special episode culled from the best chunks of live gig introductions which preceded the Flatshare Slamdown recordings of the last series.Within it you'll find plenty of Pappy's and cameo appearances from Liam Williams, Barry from Watford, Nish Kumar and John Robins. You'll also find lots of beef, loads of gibberish and an exhaust pipe.Do please spread the word about the show and/or even stick a nice review of it somewhere? iTunes maybe. Or on your Facebook wall. Or any wall really.
