  • How to Become Spiritually Alive
What does it mean to be spiritually alive? In How to Become Spiritually Alive, we walk through Ephesians 2:1–10 and see the stunning contrast between who we were apart from Christ and what God has done for us by His grace.
This message explains that apart from Jesus, we are not spiritually sick but spiritually dead—walking in trespasses and sins, shaped by the world, the flesh, and the powers of darkness. But the turning point of the passage is two powerful words: But God. Because He is rich in mercy, great in love, overflowing in kindness, and full of grace, God makes dead people alive together with Christ.
Ephesians 2 reminds us that salvation is not something we achieve through effort, morality, or religious works. It is the gift of God, received by faith, and it leads to a new life of purpose as His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works that He prepared beforehand.

  • Pray for Open Eyes
In Pray for Open Eyes, we walk through Paul’s prayer in Ephesians 1:15–23 and see what it means to pray for others with spiritual depth and gospel clarity. Rather than praying only for circumstances to change, Paul teaches us to pray that people would know Christ more fully and have the eyes of their hearts opened to who He is and what He has given them.
This message focuses on two life-shaping requests: pray for the knowledge of Christ, and pray for eyes to be enlightened. As our spiritual vision is opened, we begin to see three unshakable realities more clearly—the hope of His calling, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints, and the exceeding greatness of His power toward those who believe.
That power is the very power God worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead, seated Him above every authority, and made Him head over all things for the church. This passage invites us to pray in Jesus’ name with confidence, knowing that the risen Christ rules with all authority and fills His body with His fullness.

  • How to Help Someone Who is Hurting
When someone is hurting, our words can either bring comfort or cause more pain. In this message from the book of Job, we explore the difference between being cynical, critical, and truly present with people in their suffering.
Job’s wife responded to his pain with despair, while his friends initially offered something meaningful: they came close, wept with him, and sat in silence because his grief was so great. But later, their assumptions and accusations added to Job’s burden. This message offers a practical, biblical path for helping those who hurt: be close, be humble, refrain from quick answers, reframe suffering with truth and hope, and pray.
Sometimes the most faithful response is not having the perfect explanation—it is loving someone well in the middle of their pain.
    Scripture: Job 2:9–13; Job 22:4–5; Job 32:6–9; Job 33:14–30; Job 36:15.

  • How to Lament
In How to Lament, we walk through Psalm 22 and learn a biblical pattern for bringing pain to God. This message shows that lament is not unbelief, but honest faith that turns to God quickly, complains honestly, asks boldly, and ultimately trusts God’s victory.
Starting with the cry, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?”, this sermon explores how Scripture gives language for grief, abandonment, and suffering without hiding the pain. Psalm 22 shows us that even in anguish, we can keep speaking to God, remember who He is, and ask Him to act with confidence and hope.
This episode traces four practical movements of lament: turn to God quickly, complain honestly, ask boldly, and trust God’s victory. If you are walking through sorrow, confusion, spiritual dryness, or deep distress, this message offers a biblical way to pray through pain without losing hope.

  • My Unwanted Demanding Friend | Learning to Lament with Job

In this message, My Unwanted Demanding Friend, we look at the book of Job and the painful reality that suffering makes demands on us. Pain must be felt, shared, and brought honestly before God—not hidden behind easy answers or spiritual clichés.

Through Job’s story, this episode explores four hard but necessary responses to suffering: feel pain, accept reality, voice emotion, and expect God. If you have ever wrestled with grief, confusion, silence, or disappointment with God, this message shows how lament can become a pathway to deeper honesty, deeper healing, and deeper hope.

Scripture highlights include Job 2, Job 13, Job 16, Job 19, Job 30, Job 38, and Job 42.

  • Good 4 U: Are They Good for You?
In this message we continue our series, Good 4 U, by seeing what the Word says about how to choose the relationships in your life. 💕
Are they good for you? Most importantly, where are they spending eternity? 2 Corinthians 6 tells us to not be unequally yoked. This means asking if you’re both going in the same direction at the same pace–eternally and missionally. We must also see how they overcome temptation. Are they fleeing from temptation, or leading you into it? Have they been open and honest, in biblical community, and able to clearly define the relationship? Lastly, we can check if they are developing character. Do they have a repentant heart, striving to become more Christ-like and exemplifying the fruits of the Spirit?
When you are deciding who to be in relationship with, remember:
    Are they GOOD for you?
    Going to heaven
    Overcoming temptation
    Open and honest
    Developing character

  • Good 4 U: Covenant Love
Last night we kicked off our brand new series, Good 4 U! 💕 Pastor Chris Hinkley taught on the meaning of covenant love, and what that means for us as followers of Christ.
A covenant is a binding, God-pledged commitment rooted in love, mercy, and grace. Covenant love is always only Jesus. Marriage is designed and defined by God–it’s sacrificial, submitted, and only separated by death. The covenant of marriage should be a reflection of Christ’s love for the church. God’s covenant also demands a response. We are not perfect, and when we mess up, Jesus has already taken our place on the cross.
If we desire godly dating and marriage, we must first have a solid understanding of Christ’s example of covenant love.

  • Forward: How do you discern the call of God on your life?
How do you discern the call of God on your life? Sometimes hearing from God can feel difficult. This week, Pastor Jon led us through Acts 16, and the requirements we need to hear God’s call for us.
    1. We need closed doors. While they can initially seem like lost opportunities, how you navigate closed doors can be what your calling is contingent upon.
    2. We need word from God. God often speaks to his people through the Word itself, along with through biblically wise people, dreams, and the Holy Spirit.
    3. We need a willing heart to go. God grows a heart that is willing to go, and is waiting on our yes and surrender to his plan.
Don’t be a Christian who just professes faith, but one who also possesses faith. Remember that faithfulness is the prerequisite to a word from God. We’ll see you next Tuesday, Paradigm! 🕊️

  • Forward: What happens to people who never hear about Jesus?
In this message we tackled a big question: What happens to people who never hear about Jesus?
Walking through Romans, we were reminded that God has made Himself known through creation. Yet all of us have rejected Him, fallen short of His glory, and stand in need of a Savior.
The bad news is that everyone is guilty.
The good news is that everyone can be saved.
Not by good works. Not by religion. Not by trying harder. We are justified by grace through faith in Jesus alone.
But the message doesn’t stop there.
Romans 10 reminds us that everyone who has put their faith in Jesus has been given a mission: make Him known. We are called to bring the hope of the gospel to the people around us.
    This week’s challenge was simple:
Find someone who is spiritually lost.
    Invite them into your life.
    Build a genuine relationship.
    Ask them about their faith.
The gospel is too good to keep to ourselves. 🤍

  • Romans Part II: The Glory of God
In this message we wrap up Romans with a message on “The Cure to a Numb Soul” 🤍
Romans 16 reminded us that faith was never meant to be distant or surface level. Paul made ministry personal. He knew names, valued people, and understood that real gospel impact happens through intentional relationships.
Being personal matters because it pulls us out of self-sufficiency, reminds us of the beauty in everyday faithfulness, and helps us live with purpose instead of just blending into the crowd.
We were also reminded that peace is worth pursuing. In a world full of division and distraction, God invites us to make peace a priority because He is the God of peace.
And finally, our posture matters. No matter the season, the invitation is to live with praise. To remember who God is, what He’s done, and let worship shape the way we live.
Maybe the cure to a numb soul isn’t doing more, but getting personal, pursuing peace, and choosing praise 🤍
