Welcome to the Love Show! This week is Valentine's Day themed, so we're setting the fireplace, breaking out some heart shaped candy, and getting all Barry White baritone with our voices in order to share these two stories that highlight how sweet it is to be loved (by you). Who would know better than the guy who wrote the Notebook, Nicholas Sparks? This week we'll cover another one of his novels - The Lucky One - as well as the 90's/00's romcom masterpiece 10 Things I Hate About You. Spend Valentines Day with us and enjoy!

These days, a little nostalgia can go away. Admit it, at some point in the last year you've been on Google or eBay looking for some reminders of your childhood, or to check the price of something you had lying around from your youth had skyrocketed in value. These stories keep a small place in our hearts for forever, whether they have aged gracefully into adulthood with you, have been the recipient of an unnecessary reboot, or never left pop culture at all. These stories are meme-able, quotable, and create a culture within the fans that will live on forever. Join us this week as we take a trip down memory lane and tell you about two epics that have stayed with us since childhood.

It's time for crime! This week we're covering a couple of new age crime stories, where the killers are hidden up until the very end. Why do we as a society love crime stories? We'll also get into what real life crime stories effected us and how their entertainment value is a controversial subject.

Episode 17 is all about Justice; the cold-blooded, not following the law kind. The Punisher has seen his fair share of controversy, and has had his place in pop culture shifted in recent years. We'll dive into why that is and what the character's creator has to say about it. Our novel this week is the massive hit Where The Crawdads Sing, which is a must read for all book lovers. Enjoy!

This week, we're gonna dive right in (gross) and bring you 2 stories where it seems like everything goes wrong, and our characters either have to band together or let it all burn to get through! Highlighting the 2008 comedy Tropic Thunder and the 2017 modern classic Little Fires Everywhere, we'll give you something to take your mind off of the real life show going on in the world this past year. New year, who dis? In this episode, we break down 2 stories where our characters go through a transformation, both spiritually and physically, to come out on the other end as their best selves. With the New Year underway, we decided this would be the perfect show to encapsulate what it means to go through that type of transformative process & become a better person at the end.

Christmas tiiiiime is heeeere. Hey friends! Tis the season to let the snow fall, open some presents, and reflect on a crazy year. Join us for some last minute Christmas Spirit as we cover Netflix original movie Let It Snow and the novelization of Hallmark original movie Christmas In Evergreen: Tidings of Joy. We'll cover our favorite Christmas traditions and give you the perfect soundtrack to lit up the tree and wind down for a few before Chris Cringle squeezes down that chimney.

'Tis the season for giving! In this episode, we break down two stories on the separate ends of the present giving spectrum - a nice intimate story of thoughtfulness with the Gift of the Magi, and the all out hysteria and panic of trying to buy a last minute hot present in Jingle All The Way! We have our hot coco brewed and some holiday tunes on the record player, come hang with us and get into the holiday spirit.

December 10th is Human Rights day, so we thought we would pull some stories that pull a lot of issues to the forefront. Taking both fiction and real life in this episode, we cover the film On the Basis of Sex starring Felicity Jones and the time honored classic comic book arc Days of Future Past, pulled from the Uncanny X-Men issues #141 & #142. We respectfully cover a lot of ground in this one.
