Here's an unexpected documentary on our list: Riefenstahl (2024) about Leni Riefenstahl, a controversial Nazi Propagandist, Director, Actor and world renowned Photographer.

Check out our review, and we'll tell you whether or not you'll like "I Like Me"

Could you pull off an entire Christmas without buying anything made in China (or with Chinese parts)? This documentary shows a family trying to do exactly that, in what seems to be an impossible challenge.

Would you live rent-free in a mall for four years? This group of friends did, and they recorded the entire experience on camera from inception to after they got busted. It's unbelievable this happened, let alone recorded on camera.

Get ready for a deep one that we didn't expect either. Ernest Saves Christmas (1988) and The Santa Clause (1994) are two of the most accurate retellings of the Holly King and Oak King, in which Father Christmas dies, loses his magic or otherwise retires, a new younger king replaces him. Also described in much more detail in Frazer's The Golden Bough - specifically Chapter VIII titled "The Killing of the Tree-Spirit" which itself is just another of Frazer's many examples of the "Killing the Divine King" ritual.

Since it's Christmas, we're focusing on more (mas) Christ related documentaries, this one called The God Who Wasn't There (2005) came out ~2 years before Zeitgeist (2007). Many of the claims made in Zeitgeist are outlined here in more detail, with a bit more angst as well. The bias is strong in this one, but are any of the claims valid despite that?

This documentary features exclusive interviews with Jussie Smollett himself, along with all of the other major players from the most surreal hate-crime hoax of recent memory. But does it go deep enough?

Did the CIA introduce salvia divinorum to the public? Objectively, yes. But why? And why did "magic mushrooms" get the most promotion, if they were both discovered at the same time? Prepare yourself for a fascinating deep dive into the origins of Salvia Divinorum, and the influence of the CIA's MK-ULTRA on psychedelics in general. Baymax is the perfect Personal Health Care Companion. Whatever you think of this movie (or it's legit Marvel comic roots) - the real story is about Disney positioning themselves into a long term play targeting the healthcare industry.
