This week the books I am reading from are 'WhatsApps from Heaven Bereavement in the Twenty-first Century' by Louise Hamlin and 'An Exploration of Trance Mediumship' by Chris Ratter

When psychic surgeon Chris Ratter was starting out on his own path of unfolding trance mediumship, he found there was very little information available to clarify certain points or answer questions he had. His desire to ensure others did not feel the same isolation and confusion became his main motivation for writing An Exploration of Trance Mediumship. Chris takes the reader on a touching quest to find greater understanding of the bridge between our world and the world of spirit, explaining key aspects of trance mediumship as well as introducing the reader to his spirit team and providing insight as to how he came to know his individual guides. All mediumship is healing, and an accurate, perceptive verbal communication from a loved one in spirit has the power to mend a metaphorical broken heart. When it comes to the physical body, however, Chris's psychic surgery, which goes hand-in-hand with his trance mediumship, has the power to heal across the spectrum of psychological and physiological conditions.

Chris was aware of the Spirit World from an early age and remembers at the age of ten, playing a game in which he would simply sit and shift his consciousness elsewhere. Looking back now he can see that this was a very early introduction to the altered state of trance.
The biggest influence on the young Chris was his late grandfather who took him to various Spiritualist Churches and in doing so captivated the interest of the boy, and left him with a fascination for the Spiritual World that would remain with him throughout his life.
However, it wasn’t until the age of 38 that Chris began to hear and see the spirit world in a way he had not since he was a child, finally receiving the wake up call which would take him on his soul’s purpose.
He began to visit spiritual churches again and one evening the medium strongly informed him from the platform that he was destined to engage in spiritual healing work using his ‘healing hands’.
Chris then decided to develop his mediumistic abilities which soon led him to working in the altered states, and with the help of an internationally renowned tutor and Trance Medium, he began his journey to becoming a trance healer.
He now works with a large team of surgeons, specialists, doctors and healers from the spirit realms, finally using his ‘healing hands’ to help others.
Chris’s healing journey continues daily, with his workers in the spirit world hinting at all sorts of amazing things to come. Hard work, discipline and dedication are all Chris’s watchwords and massive mutual trust and respect exists between him and his spirit team which is led by legendary healer Harry Edwards.

Louise Hamlin
This is a book about bereavement and also about the many extraordinary happenings and signs from the afterlife that then followed. Louise talks about her personal experience of grief, in all its facets, and in a way that will resonate with readers who are bereaved. She also details, in careful and precise language, the succession of signs that she received, apparently from her husband after his death. She describes how to start with she was very sceptical and looked for all sorts of other explanations, but eventually, she came to accept that the signs, including WhatsApps and dematerialisations, must have come from her husband's spirit in the afterlife. She explains how these signs have completely changed her understanding of life and death. This book should bring comfort to the bereaved, and will encourage those left behind to recognise signs that are sent to them by their loved ones.

I never thought that I would be creating a website and telling the world about myself, but it is strange how life presents sudden unexpected twists and turns.

Until recently, my life experiences were pretty conventional. I was a divorced mother of three and a law lecturer. Then I met my second husband. We moved to the country and I started to make pots. Our life was idyllic until my husband’s untimely death at the comparatively young age of 71. This was a terrible, heart-breaking loss, which seemed to leave nothing but devastation in its wake. But then slowly the grief became shot through with threads of joy because, against all expectation, I started to receive signs and messages from him. My book, WhatsApps from Heaven, Bereavement in the Twenty-first Century, is an account both of my bereavement and of the amazing signs that I received— and continue to receive up to this day. I had no belief in the afterlife until I received signs which, in my eyes, were quite irrefutable. Now I find immense comfort in knowing that consciousness survives death, and I want to share my story, to bring solace to others who are bereaved.
