NW SAFE SCHOOLS SUMMIT, APRIL 24
Suzanne Gallagher, Director, Parents’ Rights In Education
Parents’ Rights in Education. We Value Students, Empower Parents and Enlighten Communities!
We stand for the fundamental right of parents to raise their children, and firmly believe children belong to their families, NOT the state, the teachers, the teachers’ union, or any other bureaucrat.
We believe that in this current, and increasing political climate of medical mandates, forced vaccines, and the hyper-sexualization of children; parents have the final say.
Parents are frustrated with some curriculums taught to their children. They want to participate in their child’s education, however their views are not respected! It is clear… the term inclusive only applies to some!
Public schools are for everyone, and by law all children in the US have a right to free K-12 public education.
School Boards admit they are no longer academic institutions,…they are Social Service Agencies!
Parents want to be involved in life changing decision-making with their minor children. But, School Based Heath Clinics have brought a new dynamic to the local community. Suddenly, the "school nurse" is administering examinations, psychological counseling, medications, treatments, and referrals for surgery, and vaccines, all without parent knowledge or consent. The parent - child relationship has been breached, and parents are shocked when confronted with often radical results.
We believe everyone’s opinion matters. Political bias cannot be tolerated. One sided political ideologies are often promoted and presented as truth, without discussion of other viewpoints. Reports of discrimination are shocking. Students have been disciplined and even expelled for representing opposing views…like free enterprise, free speech and the US Constitution...
What can be done? Today our best strategy is to win back respect for parents by taking back local school boards. Our message is simple. School Boards, listen to the parents. You work for them!
Oregon LAW: ORS 332.072 Legal Status of School Districts
…Pursuant to law, district school boards have control of the district schools and are responsible for educating children residing in the district. (1965 c.100& 139) We just need to take our schools back.
We are starting at the local level, with our school boards. These boards are the elected governing bodies who decide policy, and select curriculum, and yet they have drifted away from their responsibly to represent the community and the parents.
School Board Members legally have the power create and change school policies. And yet, Superintendents encourage members to comply with requests from state departments of education, and teacher’s unions.
We are asking school boards, who do you represent? The Parents’ Rights In Education Proclamation establishes an understanding between school districts and their communities. It’s time to re-establish parent’s rights in education!
Public schools are for everyone. We’re committed to equality, and equal protections for ALL parents, and ALL families. Please stand with us, speak up, and join our cause.
Parents’ Rights in Education is a tax deductible non profit organization and we rely solely on the contributions of individuals who support our values. DONATE HERE!
Thank you for joining us. We look forward to this time together!

Rush Limbaugh never wavered in his dedication to our nation and the US Constitution. He knew what it says and applied those principles to every issue of the day. He was consistent. People could count on his integrity. That’s why he was so popular. And that is why conservatives, today continue to fight for the principles Rush espoused. Constitution is just as sound now as when it was written. Individual prosperity depends on individual freedom, and free enterprise.
It’s ironic his theme son bumper music, is titled My City Was Gone, by the Pretenders. It was a parody that came true in 2020! Liberal policies will never afford individuals with opportunity and the highest standard of living for the greatest percentage of citizens in any other nation in the world! We watched our cities burn, private property destroyed by so called protestors, and small business owners loose livelihoods built over years of sacrifice.
I will always stand for our nation and its principles. Let’s not forget what we learned from our radio inspiration. We cannot give in, and we cannot give up.
Thank you Rush, we will never forget your contribution to our nation.

Today’s message is a real eye opener! James O’Keefe just released a bombshell report on Twitter about Public Broadcasting Station. https://twitter.com/JamesOKeefeIII/status/1349043019132104705?s=20
Public Broadcasting Service (PBS), Principal Counsel Michael Beller wants Trump supporters kids to be taken away by Homeland Security and put in re-education camps.
The conversation between Beller and Project Veritas undercover interviewers took place in a casual setting. There is background music and talking so I took the liberty to transcribe, and put into our podcast notes.
“Even if Biden wins, we go for all the Republican voters, and Homeland Security will take their children away,” said PBS Principal Counsel, Michael Beller. “And we’ll put them (Trump suupporters’ children) into re-education camps.”
In the times, which are unique, I mean, Trump is close to Hitler.”
What are you going to do if we (Biden) don’t win? asks anonymous attendee.
“Go to the White House and throw Molatov cocktails.” says Beller
Michael Beller’s PBS is funded in part by US tax dollars. It says on website the service is proudly “serves the American public.” Project Veritas
“Kids are growing up knowing nothing but Trump, for four years, you’ve got to wonder what they’re (Trump supporters’ children) going to be like. They’ll (Trump supporters) be raising a generation of intolerant, horrible people - horrible kids.” Michael Beller, PBS Principal Counsel a senior player at the organization exhibit extreme radicalism. It’s troubling…
“Enlightenment Camps…They’re re-education camps) nice. They have Sesame Street characters in the classroom, and they watch PBS all day. Americans are so f***ing dumb. You know, most people are dumb.” Michael Beller
“It’s good to live in a place where people are educated and know stuff.
Can you imagine if you lived in one of these other towns or states where everybody’s just…stupid?” Anonymous attendee
“What’s great is that COVID is spiking in all the red states, right now. So, that’s great. Because either those people won’t come out to vote for Trump, you know the red states, or a lot of them are sick and dying. PBS has like real news, but CNN doesn’t have real news anymore. It’s just like taking heads talking about Trump all day long.” Beller
“ I can’ stand it. I mean every once in a while, I’ll look at Fox News and it makes me want to throw up after 5 minutes. Anonymous attendee
“It’s (FOX News) all this Joe Biden shit, now. Joe Biden- You know, I can’t stand it. it’s al made up. It’s all ridiculous. And they (FOX) are pushing so hard. It’s unbelievable.” Beller
“So you guys just ignore it?” Attendee
“Yeah.” Beller
I know many of you do not watch FOX or another main stream news outlets. I happen to think Tucker Carlson, on FOX is spot on lately.
I just learned PBS, the producers of Sesame Street, announced they fired their Principal Counsel Michael Beller after it was revealed by Project Veritas he advocated for putting children in re-education camps and throwing Molotov cocktails at the White House.

Local School Board: Part 2, Serving Takes Grit!
Today’s message is about an Oregon school Board Director in Oregon. This school board member rocks! When falsely accused, she does not back down!
Before I get into that I just want to remind you how import it is to share your real life stories with Parents’ Rights In Education. We cannot get the attention of parents unless we can show them these events, these situations, these possible scenarios are actually happening in their state, in their district, and even in their school.
Years ago, we tried warning parents about the dangerous eventuality of specific laws, or district policies. They wanted to think, “nothing like that was happening in their school.” So, they would ask a teacher or a friend to confirm their sense of confidence. That way nothing would have to change, and life could go on as usual, complete trust in the public school system.
Later, I began receiving phone calls and messages from parents in and out of state regarding every issue we represent, from gender identity counseling without parental knowledge, to unknown medical treatments for their children.
2021 marks a new beginning for our organization. We have committed to launch a program designed to raise candidates and mentor public office holders. Right now we are encouraging citizens to recruit school board candidates!
The qualifications include grit. What I mean by that is a relentless drive to serve parents and stand for what’s right for ALL students, and families, even if it means standing alone.
I am sharing a RECENT news story today about just such a School Board Director, Lisa Maloney, Scappoose Oregon.
https://pamplinmedia.com/scs/83-news/493036-395844-principal-makes-complaint-against-scappoose-school-board-member#disqus_thread
My analysis is similar to Lisa’s. Her board seat is up for re-election. I bet the progressives are targeting her race. We do not want to lose her. Lisa is not going down. She is a solid advocate for Parents’ Rights In Education.
Please contact us by going to the Join Us! page on our website. Indicate you are willing to help Lisa defend her solid record and values!

Executive Order on Expanding Educational Opportunity Through School Choice (paraphrased)
Issued on: December 28, 2020
By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, and in order to ensure the education, health, safety, and well-being of America’s children, our most essential resource upon which the future of our great Nation depends, it is hereby ordered as follows:
Section 1. Purpose. As part of their efforts to address the public health challenges and uncertainties posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, State and local officials shut down in-person learning for the vast majority of our more than 56 million elementary and secondary school students beginning in late February and early March of this year. Since then, however, our Nation has identified effective measures to facilitate the safe resumption of in-person learning, and the Federal Government has provided more than $13 billion to States and school districts to implement those measures.
The prolonged deprivation of in-person learning opportunities has produced undeniably dire consequences for the children of this country. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has stated that school attendance is negatively correlated with a child’s risk of depression and various types of abuse...
School closures are especially difficult for families with children with special needs. Schools provide not only academic supports for students with special needs, but they also provide much-needed in-person therapies and services, including physical and occupational therapies...
Low-income and minority children are also disproportionately affected by school closures. In low-income zip codes, students’ math progress decreased by nearly 50 percent while school buildings were closed in the spring, and the math progress of students in middle-income zip codes fell by almost a third during the same period...
While some families, especially those with financial means, have been able to mitigate school disruptions through in person options such as homeschooling, private schools, charter schools, and innovative models like micro schools and “learning pods,” for many families, their children’s residentially assigned public school remains their only financially available option.
Students whose families pay tuition for their education are also facing significant hardships due to the economic disruptions caused by the pandemic.
I am committed to ensuring that all children of our great Nation have access to the educational resources they need to obtain a high-quality education and to improving students’ safety and well-being, including by empowering families with emergency learning scholarships.
Sec. 2. Providing Emergency Learning Scholarships for Students. The Secretary of Health and Human Services shall take steps, consistent with law, to allow funds available through the Community Services Block Grant program to be used by grantees and eligible entities to provide emergency learning scholarships to disadvantaged families for use by any child without access to in-person learning. These scholarships may be used for:
(i) tuition and fees for a private or parochial school;
(ii) homeschool, micro school, or learning-pod costs;
(iii) special education and related services, including therapies; or
(iv) tutoring or remedial education.

School Board Elections
One of the most important offices in your state!
We are hearing from citizens they want to "DO SOMETHING!” THIS IS IT!
The time is right to win school board elections!! Parents are fired up and ready to work. OREGON PRIE has a PAC, now! We can endorse candidates and raise money for their races.
January 2021 is the beginning of an election cycle that could change public schools, dramatically. Is this the year you will take your school board, back?
Parents are intimidated and frustrated with their elected representatives on the School Board. They testify at public meetings, and attend work sessions only to be told the schools must comply with state Standards.
Herein lies the problem! Who, then represents parents’ concerns? Who protects children from controversial curriculums? School Board Members legally have control of school policies. Although they are often reminded at Association meetings they have the power to create and change policy, they rarely do.
Superintendents often encourage members to comply with requests from the state Department of Education. Why? so they can look good. But wait, aren’t Superintendents hired by the school board?
...The best strategy is to elect representatives of like-mind to school board positions. School board elections are coming up this spring. Election dates vary from state to state, but Director seats are up for election in every district. When you have a majority on your board, our role is much easier!
Have you ever attended your local board meeting? My first thought was… who are these people? How did they get here? It can be difficult to know who to vote for when there is little information available in a non-partisan political race. Groups like the National Education Association and Planned Parenthood make it their business to elect people to these positions. They provide campaign funding and resources. Parents’ Rights In Education is committed to stopping the blatant take over of our local schools, by supporting candidates who will honor Parents’ Rights.
Want to do this? It’ time to recruit candidates!!
Step #1 - Go to the Secretary of State’s website and search school board elections. You are looking for the filing dates, registration forms, and deadline to file. Make a note of the election date, too.
ELECTION: May 18, 2021
https://www.co.washington.or.us/AssessmentTaxation/Elections/upload/2021-LOCAL-ELECTIONS-CALENDAR-120319.pdf
Step #2 - Then, go to your school district website and search the school board director information to determine who is up for re-election this cycle. Some districts have geographical Zones which the Directors represent.
STEP #3 - Recruit candidates! They must file with the SOS's office by the published deadline.
Candidate Filing February 6, 2021 to March 18, 2021
OREGON Registration Form: https://sos.oregon.gov/elections/Documents/SEL190.pdf
We will publish information on FB Groups and Pages. Start an affiliate PRIE Chapter in your state, so you can be a part of this.
We are partnering with an election training organization so we can provide on line training for our candidates. In addition, PRIE will assist with messaging and other campaign strategies.
Contact us! Fill out our Join Us! form on the PRIE website. We will connect you with like-minded parents and School Board members in your area, so together we can make a difference, and defend parents’ rights!

Mandated Comprehensive Sexual Education has been approved, now what?
In November Washington state voters approved referendum 90, mandating, all Washington public schools will teach Comprehensive Sexual Education (CSE) starting in Kindergarten, by the end of 2022-23 school year. Law stipulates curriculum must be age appropriate, and medically/scientifically accurate, and districts may choose any curriculum meeting the criteria. Parents do have the right to opt their child out of classroom instruction.
Who’s in control?
All public schools are required to use a CSE curriculum adhering to standards set by the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI), and guidelines developed by the department of health and OSPI. Not only does the OSPI set the standards, they can review and change them at any time they deem necessary, without public input. When changes are made by OSPI, school districts are required to stay in compliance, and update their curriculum.
Curriculum Choice Is Non-Existent
If not satisfied with OPSI approved curricula options, the law permits districts to choose an alternative CSE curriculum. It must meet OSPI standards, and be approved by OSPI. Any associated expenses incurred shall be borne by school districts. Eatonville SD, a small district estimates the cost of purchasing curriculum, training teachers and all other related expenses, at approximately $231,972.
OPT- OUT? Not so Fast…
Parents have the option to opt their child out of CSE, however it does not apply to anything outside of the regular class instruction, such as special assemblies or speakers. Planned Parenthood regularly trains teenage students to be Teen Advocates, who go into the public schools and teach their peers about “sexual health.” When peers taught a highly sexualized form of sex education, it is impossible to opt out of school culture. Bullying and sexual harassment of those who chose not to participate in CSE, are not uncommon.
What is a parent to do?
First, if at all possible, take your child out of the public-school system. Schools around the state are introducing curriculums designed to use children for culture change, rather than focus on academics needed to become a productive member of society. COVID-19 school closures have enlightened many parents, realizing they can home school as well, or better than public schools. Home school pods are popping up all over the place and resources for homeschool families are becoming more abundant.
Second, if alternative schooling is not available, parents must make it a priority to oversee teachers, and their lessons. Review the sex ed curriculum, and then opt your child out. Support teachers who and are opposed to teaching CSE. Let your child’s teacher know your values and wishes, and what is unacceptable. You, the parent are still the gatekeeper for your child.
Get Involved, Advocate for Parents’ Rights in Education!
School boards, representatives of the voters, were designed to support the rights of parents, and the wishes of the community. You and others like you can influence their decisions and hold them accountable. If your board does not care about parents’ rights, it’s time to elect replacement(s).
Navigating through the advocacy maze is always more palatable when working as a team. PARENTS' RIGHTS IN EDUCATION MONTH
SURPRISE! SURPRISE!
When we announced Parents' Rights In Education Month a few weeks ago, we were not aware an Oregon County Board of Commissioners was taking it into consideration!
PRIE extends a hearty "Thank you!" to the Yamhill County Board Of Commissioners for recognizing November, Parents’ Rights In Education Month!
We extend our appreciation to Commissioner Mary Starrett, VICE CHAIR for bringing the PROCLAMATION to the Agenda, and for Casey Culla, Chair and Rick Olson for passing it!
NOT for SCHOOL BOARDS ONLY!
The Yamhill County Proclamation was a pleasant surprise as PRIE members approached many local school boards over the last two years.
OREGON KANGAROO COURT
Teachers' Union Applied Pressure to Rescind and Replace
We wonder about the Texas board's experience in relation to a similar experience with our OREGON group. In October, 2019 Molalla, Oregon School Board passed a Resolution declaring November, Parents' Partnership In Education Month, affirming "the constitutional right of parents to direct the education and upbringing of their children."
At the following November 21 Work Session, after receiving pressure from the teachers union, the Molalla School Board voted to Rescind the Resolution and replace it with one acceptable to the Oregon Education Association. The new RESOLUTION affirms parents' partnership with teachers, not their elected school board, and acknowledges anti-discrimination laws, not parents' rights.
The OEA school representative pressured MOLALLA School Board to usurp PARENTS' RIGHTS!
Anyone with minimal understanding of Roberts Rules knows neither of these actions are lawful proper procedure.
ALL City, County, and Sate Boards are welcome to recognize Parents' Rights in Education, Month!

We represent millions of voices standing up for families, united for natural parents’ rights in the K-12 education system.
Local control,…
We reject any indoctrination of school children with extreme pedagogy.
We support the proper role of K-12 academic education, focused on core skills, and preparing students for success. We reject controversial sexualization and racist doctrine.
We reject current practice by public school staff facilitating mental health counseling, medical treatment and procedures without parent knowledge, circumventing the relationship between parents and children.
We are here to provide parents tools, so they can stand against those stealing their rights. Stand with us!
