The government shutdown means there’s a lot that’s not getting done in our National Parks. Some are obvious — like permits, trash collection, and education programs. There’s also work behind the scenes that’s been parked for now: planning, research, search and rescue training, and more. We’ll have a guest from Friends of the Apostle Islands to tell us how the shutdown is affecting the National Lakeshore up north.
