While the Spirit convicts us, it also guides us into truth – the truth of Christ spoken through the Holy Spirit. Truth in the world is fluid and ever changing. It is diverse and reflective of our desires. The Holy Spirit, however, helps us see God’s truth. Are we willing to let go of our understanding of truth and embrace the Truth the Holy Spirit leads us to?

The Spirit shows us God’s way of seeing things in the world - convicting us of our sin and brokenness and helping us see it not from the world’s view but from the view of God’s Kingdom. Jesus tells his disciples that His leaving is for their benefit so the Holy Spirit would come. We see that promise realized in Acts 2 on the day of Pentecost. We will look at what Pentecost is, and the importance of the Holy Spirit’s coming. Jesus saw the Holy Spirit as so important, that it was to our benefit if He ascended to heaven. Do we embrace this promised gift from God?
