Ephesians 3. Anoj Joseph continues our Live The Life series by looking at Paul's prayer on Ephesians 3. This chapter joins the dots between the gospel (Eph 1-2) and living it out (Eph 4-6). While we may feel the pressure to live a Godly life, Paul says that it is the Holy Spirit that changes our hearts. Knowing God is the active one in our salvation and growth should give us both assurance, and a desire to more fully surrender our lives to Christ.

Following Paul's amazing opening, he continues to outline God's incredible gospel - how God's mercy and grace accomplish our salvation completely. However we are reminded God doesn't stop there, but is moulding us into a privileged and dynamic people for His glory and service.

Ephesians 1:11-14. Ps Christian Kahnt kicks off our series on the book of Ephesians by looking at Paul's opening hymn of praise. Paul wastes no time in glorifying God for His sovereignty, but also reminds us there is a tension. While God is in control, we are not simply ģpassengers. We have a responsibility to live for His honour - among other things, sharing this glorious gospel.

John 1:14. Ps Christian Kahnt continues our Advent series by considering the incarnation of Christ. Into a world of chaos and prophetic silence, Jesus came as a helpless babe in order that He might redeem. The glorious truth for us is because He is human, he knows our weaknesses - yet because He is God, we have the perfect Saviour.

Philippians 2:1-11. Andrew Mihaleff continues our Advent series by considering the cost that God endured to bring Himself into the world. Paul reminds us that the God of the universe humbly came into our world to redeem humanity. We tend to gravitate to the humble baby Jesus but shrink back at the horror and magnitude of Christ crucified - however we would do well to remember that this gift keeps on giving, and that we cannot separate the manger from the cross.

Romans 12:1-8. Josh Lau continues our serving series by asking "Why me? Why should I serve? What could I actually bring?" If this is our default thought - which it is for many if not most of us - the reality in God's sight is completely different. We are called to bring our whole life and whole body - which in God's sight is true worship. Furthermore we each have something to give - in dependence on and partnership with Christ - for the benefit of His kingdom.

Ps Hilary Williams continues our series on serving by considering our security in Christ. Rather than simply a menial servant, the kind of service Jesus calls us to is from a place of friendship with and acceptance by Christ. As undeserving as we are, we are called sons and daughters of the King of kings! When we serve from this place, it transforms our work for Him, as we move from a sense of duty or overstating our contribution, to delight and love for Jesus.
