Revelation 5:1-10. On Resurrection Sunday, Ps Christian Kahnt takes us through John's vision of Jesus, as both Passover Lamb and Lion of Judah. On that great day, we see the Risen Christ open the seals to God's plan of history. As a result of Jesus dying and rising again, He and He alone has the right to do this. At the same time, we marvel at the mercy of the Father, who will not enact His plan until Christ the mediator completes His work.

There is a tendency - both within and without the church - to either devalue or overemphasised sex, and neither is helpful. Rather, God wants us to find joy in the gift of sex within marriage. Conflict is inevitable no matter what kind of marriage you have, yet we can still love sacrificially. When we do this through forgiveness and encouragement, conflict does not need to be a impenetrable wall; rather it can be used as a building block for stronger marriage and deeper love.

In this first of a two part message, we spend the this half considering some Biblical principles for marriage (which can be applied to all relationships). Anoj Joseph continues our relationships series by considering dating. While the Bible came at a time where young people were betrothed, dating is today's way of choosing a life partner. However, our culture can see dating as a sport. God's people need to see dating from the standpoint of honouring marriage. Rather than treating dating as trivial or as a free-for-all, we must honour Christ in our relationships.

Anoj Joseph continues our relationships series by considering friendships. Every friendship is different, but the principles remain. We are ambassadors for Christ - we ought to see our friendships as an opportunity to love and encourage one another to serve Jesus. Given we are made for community, we must realise that community only flourishes when its members live in light of the gospel.

Ephesians 5:21-6:9. Ps Hilary Williams continues our Live The Life series by looking at Paul's words on relationships. Many view Ephesians 5 & 6 as a licence for abuse or oppression. However, submission is not being a doormat, but rather, to yield in love. Paul's repeated call to act with love and care further reinforces that honour is given to all - and that the "greater" must serve the "lesser" as Jesus loves us.
