Psalm 91:1-4. Anoj Joseph continues our series on God's identity by looking at Him being our refuge and shelter. Many of us feel that deep longing and desire for place of rest and shelter, no longer running from the storms of this life. In this psalm, we see that God Himself promises to be our refuge - our blanket of safety and protection. He invites us to come into His presence through Christ, and experience true refuge in Him.

He is the only One who can and always will be there with us. Knowing this, we see that the perfect antidote for our fears, is the peaceful presence of God.

R. C. Sproul said that our greatest need is to "discover the true identity of God." Ps Louis Baron opens our new series by considering God being all-knowing. If God is omniscient, there is no detail in the universe - nor in our lives - that has escaped his attention. This should give us great comfort in committing our ways to a God who not only knows us far better than we know ourselves, but remains committed to our good.
