With it being one of the highlights on the Irish Equestrian calendar we couldn't not do an episode on the Aga Khan team that will compete for Ireland at the Dublin Horse Show this week.
You can watch it live on RTÉ from 1.45pm if you can't make it to the show.

The final day of equestrian sport in Chateau de Versailles took place this morning with the Individual Final taking centre stage. Ireland were represented by two athletes, Daniel Coyle and Shane Sweetman, who though didn't quite make the podium acquitted themselves well in great company.
After ten days of action and our nine athletes holding their own on the world stage there can be nothing but pride when reflecting on the Paris Olympics.

Ireland have 9 athletes heading to the Olympics; The Underwriting Exchange Show Jumping Team of Cian O'Connor, Daniel Coyle, Shane Sweetnam and Darragh Kenny, the Agria Petinsure Eventing Team of Austin O'Connor, Sarah Ennis, Susie Berry and Aoife Clark, and our individual Dressage rider, Abigail Lyle.
After a quiet weekend for the Show Jumping Team, the individual qualification round was held whereby 75 combinations where to be narrowed down to 30 ahead of tomorrow's final.
Clears from Shane Sweetnam and James Kann Cruz and Daniel Coyle and Legacy means they progress to tomorrow. An unfortunate fence down for Cian O'Connor and Maurice left it up to time, and it was two seconds that left him on the wrong side of the cut off.
The individual final takes place tomorrow at 10am French time and will be in reverse order of merit following today's classification.

The Underwriting Exchange Irish Show Jumping Team competed in the Final of the Team Show Jumping competition here in Paris. After qualifying yesterday all teams scores reverted back to zero ahead of today's competition. Ireland finished on a score of 14 faults which unfortunately wasn't good enough for a team medal and left us in 7th place overall.
Ahead of the individual qualification round on Monday, all competitors will have a vet check tomorrow at lunchtime.

The Underwriting Exchange Irish Show Jumping Team got their Olympics underway today in Versailles. With twenty teams vying to finish in the top ten and earn their place in tomorrows final, competition was tough.
Ireland finished on a score of 9 faults which was good enough to see them move through to the next round. A clear round from Daniel Coyle and Legacy, four faults from Shane Sweetnam and 5 faults from Cian O'Connor left Ireland 6th place. All teams will start on back on zero so it's all to play for in tomorrow's team final. Jumping begins at 2pm French Time/1pm Irish Time.

On this episode we have Darragh Kenny, who has been called in to replace the alternate rider, Bertram Allen, after his horse Pacino Amiro sustained a minor injury during the week. Darragh will head to his second Olympic Games to represent Ireland as a member of the Irish Show Jumping team sponsored by The Underwriting Exchange.
Growing up in a horse mad family, Darragh begin riding at an early age. It was in his late teens he got the opportunity to train in America, and he essentially, never looked back.
