Share this, and all our stuff with liberals. Don’t worry about whether they’ll un-friend you. If they do, they weren’t your friend anyway. If you are a free market adult, I don’t need to convert YOU. I just need to talk with you. It is the Left we need to pull across. We need to show them how their own tribe will one day jack them up the way they do us right now. The premanent governing class doesn’t care about any of us, including their own drones.

Two things collided this week to become grist for this segment.

The Federal Reserve, in a naked effort to carry the Harris/Walz candidacy, made a sudden and significant cut in interest rates. Most people cheered. On the surface, it would appear that Jerome Powell just might have put lipstick on the pig of an economy the Barry Obiden cabal has created.

But a lot of experts, people with real skin in the game, are not jumping up and down. They know that sudden precipitous cuts could spark inflation early next year. And among many other unintended consequences, it WILL contribute to the housing shortage we suffer from today. They know that if the Fed succeeds in keeping Kammy afloat, and she actually wins, the Cabal will then double down on all the insanity they pushed last time around. All the reversals we’ve heard from Kammy will reverse again.

We’re still pissing hundreds of billions of already devalued dollars into the economy from the two Green scam bills passed by the Cabal and their drones on congress. ANY ONE of the programs Obama would order Kammy to pursue would push the economy over the cliff we just climbed, recovering from the initial assaults on us.

The economic assault was rooted in the breathy social justice or environmental justice nonsense tarted up as economic policy. That nonsense has been the engine behind ALL of Bidenomics. Along with the damage they intend will be a wealth tax (including unrealized gains). They will do nothing to fix the two biggest pigs in our system - Social Security and Medicare. They will take us on a spending/redistribution ORGY.

The obvious remedy to all of this is Donald J. Trump. While the Left is busy doing ANYTHING it takes to destroy every part of Trump’s life, they are still barely advancing Kammy’s campaign. So, they need a backup plan.

And last week, they got one. This news is what collided with the 50 BP cut by the Fed. The United Nations, the most ungrateful pack of assholes this side of either ocean, has decided, with the blessing of Obama’s third term, to do all the big redistribution on behalf of Kammy, if necessary… and in concert with her if she wins. In that event they’ll double the damage they’ll all do to the economy and YOUR life.

In Kammy’s case, taking even more from the makers and creating many more takers is still aspirational. There is a chance more American will wake up and grow up before they cast their vote this year; not a big chance, but a chance. I don’t care if you don’t like Trump. I’m not exactly a fan myself. But I’m not voting for his erudition and style. I’m voting to put America first. All other nations take the bus.

In the UN’s case, as you’ll read in this deceitful propaganda, what I am warning against is ALREADY a reality. They voted to take more from you and hand it to foreignors to create “better economic outcomes”. It will actually do nothing substantive, as we’ve learned every single time we’ve handed our cash to backward unstable countries.

But the level of propagandizing in the Context article is so intentionally convoluted, and so naive, your initial reaction might be to dismiss it as silly and childish. And it IS! But it is reality just the same. And the drivel in the article, redefining what a good economy is and how YOU are responsible for the success of another nation, is just cover for the UN’s redistribution scheme.

The money will be spent. The West, especially the US will be a little poorer for it. The project WILL fail. They all do. And the UN will be back again with yet another fairy dust program designed to take your money and give to backward, corrupt regimes.

Biden has allowed the UN to sponge billions more from us. We are told, by Context, it will improve people’s lives through more climate scams and magical wishes. And if the Dems get in, they’ll increase the rate of the stealing they’ve been practicing since 1913. None of this is even conjecture. The bullshit UN program was voted in by the international freeloaders over the weekend. And Kammy has told you she intends to wring you dry. Are you happy now?

Look, I have nothing against helping our fellow man. I have a BIG problem with being forced to do so. I most vociforously reject the idea of an organization like the United Nations that takes our money, with the blessing of our permanent governing class, and then works AGAINST our national interests at every opportunity. Adding injury to insult, this is the organization that let’s China sit on committees to fight “climate change”, and Iran to sit on human rights commissions.

We need to tell the UN to build their headquarters somewhere else. In the meantime, the present building would house a lot of illegals.

If our Republic wishes to help a foreign nation, I expect our representatives to exact a cost for the aid. Better education outcomes, no police state bullshit, actual free trade. Any nation can do that. We don’t need a world governing body to take a crowbar to our national wealth, then spit in our faces every day.

The challenge is that our nation has been indoctrinated to belive living your life for others is a good thing. It’s not. It is the recipe for keeping you AND others weak and stupid.

The Donald will have a laundry list of things to kill when he gets back into the Oval Office. But using the maximum authority his office allows to toss programs like the UN’s economic nonsense in the shitcan, should be very close to the top of the list. Perhaps it should be second behind purging the government of activist bureaucrats who thwart everything good for us and actively advance the politics of Democrat lunatics! This would have the added benefit of saving YOU money.

Michael Caine and the children of the sixties are still stroking themselves.

I recently viewed a well-made documentary obstensibly told from the perspective of Michael Caine and featured guests, narrated by Caine. Despite the “smirk” in this segment’s heading, I enjoyed the program. I like almost everything Caine has done since his stint as Alphie, trying to look cool in those birth control glasses.

The documentary format was a combination of history and personal anecdotes. Very entertaining. However, this show, like all shows about the 1960’s, is fraught with self-congratulations by folks who were young in that era. And it is, as always, wildly overstated.

Implied throughout, and arrogantly stated at the end, is the claim that the 60’s young’uns were the first generation to change the world of thier parents. They’re not. And they weren’t the last. This is just a fantasy they claim.

What they were, was the largest generation of teens and young adults ever. That’s thanks to what teens and twenty somethings did for generations before them, for better or for ill.

Every generation is filled with genius. That genius is almost always established when the REAL world-changers are in their teens or twenties. The rest of those brilliant lives are spent perfecting, expanding and/or marketing the fruits of the genius. The 60’s were no better or worse than the others, in this regard.

But what about art? The art driven by the sixties ranged from splashy to complete junk. The same people who think their existance then makes them somehow…better than everyone else, are also the ones who look at the worst of the 60’s dogshit on canvass and pretend to see something in it. Sadly, that is one trait which continues today. It is why the rich have dogshit hanging on their walls, and their rich friends nod and utter inanities like, “Yes, yes! I see the artist’s pain you speak of.”

What about music? Meh, I confess to telling young’uns they will never know cool like we knew cool - musically. And I believe that’s true. I also know the roots that spawned all that great sound were born over the previous decades. Without Muddy Waters, Louie Armstrong, Glen Miller, Elvis and Billie Holiday, there would never have been Beatles, Stones, Grateful Dead or Jimi Hendrix. But the decade was a fine move forward - musically. But that is just enterainment. And the whole generation didn’t create it. We just danced to someone else’s work.

What about fashion? Not even close. As I said, thanks to the sacrifices of three of the previous five generations of teens and twenties people, the 60’s kids were the largest cadre EVER. I think it was Caine who says everywhere you looked on a London high street, there were kids (young adults and teens). Yes, of corse that is what you’d see, Michael. We outnumbered everybody and far too many of our parents and grandparents died before 1945.

And as far as fashion goes, somebody famous (and slightly older, and a member of the - gasp - establishment), wore the first miniskirt, the first fur vest or whichever. Then directed by aging fashion mavens with blue hair, middle-aged, cigar-smoking dudes with hairy ears made the production and mass distribution of those fashions possible. We just bought them.

What about the peace movement? Yeah, right. That started among middle age academics. They were right to question Vietnam. That was our stupidest militray adventure among many. PLUS, it was as fashionable as the miniskirt to come out against the war. It wasn’t nearly as “brave” to take the position as it was for those who fought for isolationism in late 1940. And the modern old guy should come out and admit it. Peace rallies were also a great place to score pot and acid, and get laid.

I think the flower power generation thinks they are special because they were the first televised generation. They have constant opportunities to look back and marvel at themselves for having breathed in those days. And remember, they are the generation that brought us mass drug abuse, Hillary Clinton, the blue blood John Kerry, and the knob, Al Gore.

Would-be assassins

I thank my personal god that the FBI says they had Trump’s shooter and shooter wannabe on their radar.

That’s a lie, of course. They didn’t. They should have. Number two has been interviewed by a bunch of outlets and is clearly number 10 dinky dao. The NSA and DOJ had them in their database along with everything about every other computer and cell phone owner in the United States. They were able to pull up and provide all kinds of interesting tidbits about these two bozos - after the fact.

It’s what they call intelligence gathering these days; hoover up terrabytes of information on EVERYONE, saying it’s for the greater good. Then you can pull it up after a lunatic acts out, or you can use it to destroy your political opponents. But it doesn’t do much for crime-fighting. There is just too much information for even the fastest computers to analyze.

Yeah, It’s the blackmail thing.

Remember, folks. The wolf never loses sleep over the opinions of sheep. We need more wolves, fewer sheep. Be the damn wolf.

Florida

I’ve been listening to talk out of Florida regarding the very weird circumstances surrounding the last assassination attempt on Trump. Yes, that’s exactly what it was.

Governor DeSantis is launching an investigation of his own. This is entirely appropriate considering the bungling and opacity of the Cabal on the issue.

However, I don’t think Marco Rubio’s remarks on the subject are helpful. He seems to prefer murder charges be pressed against the this guy Routh. Mmmm. That could be disasterous, as well as capricious.

There isn’t a court in the land that would call camping out on a golf course, regardless of what MAY have lurked in your mind, truly attempted murder. You can suspect it. You might even find in his communications or among his accomplices (oh, yeah, he had them) a conspiracy charge. But if he didn’t point a weapon at a victim and at least try to pull the trigger, you don’t have attempted murder.

Bringing a murder charge would muddy the waters we need to go through to find the truth.

Lebanon

I can only shake my head at the reaction of the world media, and most governments, to the exploding pagers/walkie-talkies incident among members of Hezbolla.

They are calling it a “major escalation”. Cute.

Israel is attacked by backward, uncivilized nutbags on 10/7. The attack was not only stupid on the agressor’s part, it was needlessly grusome. Every action from that day to this has been called a major escalation on Isreal’s part.

Within days, the backward, lunatics in Lebanon (Hezbollah) saw an opportiunity and started lobbing missiles and rockets into Israel and fomenting violence inside Israel. Every step Israel took to defend against that was calld a major escalation by Israel.

I feel certain if Israel satisfied itself to drop leaflets cursing the perpetrators and calling them “big fat jerks”, the world press and Tony Blinken would label that a major escalation.

This pager thing is a great example. That is by far the most precise, micro-targeting I’ve ever seen carried out against an enemy by ANYONE. Way more precise than the precision weapons Israel employs in the field. This brought the fire directly to individuals, while Israel’s enemies kill indiscriminately. No one EVER calls missile attacks from the north by people who were NOT under attack a major escalation.

But the authors of this nonsense know that a lot of people, especially due to their tribal loyalty, will buy it all. We’ll see examples of this in our main event.

Political whore of the week.  Oprah Winfrey, BFF of P. Ditty and Harvey Weinstein.

Allow me a preface.  I am watching the “interview” as I write this.  Holy hell! This is going to be a long hour.  But I do this for you.  Ain’t I swell?

Also, I like to break down what is being said by these - people - in such presentations. But it’s tedious work. Even with a post like this I miss 90% of it all. I have watched speeches and debates and said, on this Substack, that I could write a book. And in many cases, Obama speeches for example, it would take a lengthy book to break down all the deceit and half-truth to be found in one of his speeches. But I will occasionally endeavor to do so.

Let’s go the the circus.

If you ever want the shallow, show folk way of looking at something, you can always count on Orka…er…um…sorry, Oprah to pour pablum in your ear.

Oprah is a TV reporter who turned talk show host around the time the earth cooled.  She’s a performer.  She spent a lifetime getting her content handed to her by people better at the job, and yarning it into an emotional, gossipy or naively political hour or so of chatter.  And she’s good at that!

But as an authority on anything other than how to host a talk show, she’s hardly expert material.  And she’s a phony.  For just one example, she didn’t give away any cars, her sponsors did.  She just made a dramatic, self-serving stunt of it.  She did pitch in a few thousand for registration of the vehicles, but all-in-all, that was a cheap dose of publicity.  A great marketing ploy.  Audience members were floating out of the studio breathless at how much Oprah cared about them. 

Meh…maybe a little.  But Pontiac cared a bunch more than Oprah did, to the tune of 276 cars.  But they too were cruising for some renewed relevance in a world that was tiring of their cars in the same way people were tiring of Oprah.

The cars did end up costing the recipients about $7000 in gift taxes, and in some states, of course, personal property taxes.

Oh, snowflakes, I know.  I know.  How can I be so cruel as to besmirch this act of kindness by the sweet, generous, pure-of-heart Oprah?  That’s easy.  She ain’t that.  All of her public stunts are of the shallowest nature, appealing to the lowest maturity level to be found in American adults.

I give you the Doof and Doofus of Sussex.

In an effort to hijack Diana’s memory – actually trying to CREATE relevance by trying to BE Diana, The Doofus of Sussex led her husband the Doof to disgrace himself and embarrass his family.  They ended up leaving their positions in quite a huff.  They made up stories about the Royals and went on a poor little rich kids crybaby tour.

Things didn’t break their way at the beginning.  A few 12 year-old girls thought the Doofus was a victim and the Doof was just dreamy.  The rest of the Western world laughed behind their hands.

Now don’t get me wrong, I understand Harry didn’t like the role of “the spare”.  It didn’t help that his show folk wife banged away on that along with pretending her life in the palace was anything less than luxurious.  But to walk away completely, with insults hurled over their shoulders? 

The media loved it all of course.  Emotion trumps reason every time.  But even so, the shallow pair still thought themselves misunderstood. [sigh]

Then Oprah spotted an opportunity.  I will set up a huge paid gig, get these two idiots on the tube and act like I give two craps about their “pain” and the three of us will be celebrities again.  Yay, me!  She is the queen of false compassion.

For years, while running her business empire (oh, yeah, that’s REAL) Oprah would occasionally breach the surface to keep her face and brand in the public eye.

Enter Kammy.

So her new gig with Stepford Kammy is just one more of those stunts.  It certainly wasn’t a real interview, any more than her sit down with the Doofuses was.  Both were puff pieces designed to create sympathetic characters from some pretty shitty raw material.  The ex-royals were spoiled adults who were emotionally stuck in adolescence.  And Kammy was a non-entity who has been carried from pillar to post throughout her adult life.  It was clear her basement campaign was in trouble.  Kammy needed some smoke and mirrors, and to get her gob back on the tube, Oprah was only too happy to help.

The phony excitement, Oprah yelling like a wounded bear, while this political hack she probably dislikes approaches the stage, is the first eye-roll many this shit show will inspire.  Conversation starts with a Kammy word salad that mirrors the beginning of her stump speech, all empty calories, no adult ideas.

Oprah’s first question provides prose to support the myth that Kamala is suddenly NOT the cackling idiot we all know and loathe.  “it seem (dramatic pause) a veil or something dropped AND-YOU-JUST-SLIPPED-INTO-YOUR -POWER…”. Then Oprah gets up and does an idiotic strut to show how “kewel” Kammy is.  I was empathetically embarrassed for everyone in the room as they pretended to be impressed by the stupidity. 

Yep, Oprah is definitely a political whore here.  But then most show folk are.

This was met by word salad number two.  Response number one and two were all stump speech.  I do hope that changes.

As a part of the “audience”, a bunch of other show folk are seen on monitors, grinning like idiots, reminding witless dems that YES, it is important what overpaid show folk think.  And you should think like them!  The lunatic Gretchen Whitmer was in the studio audience.  She’s creepier than Tampon Tim.

Oprah declares the animal eating in Springfield is a LIE!  Well, let’s just tear up all those police reports and the exponential increase in missing pet complaints.  Ignore the comments from disparate sources talking about animals in parks being killed.  The ORKA has spoken!

The first question from the audience was about immigration.   So far, Oprah has been very careful not to let Kammy run through her memorized lines too quickly before jumping in to move things along.  Kamala had already repeated the dividing us vs uniting us bullshit.

Kammy insults the questioner by going right back to the memorized lines she’s been wearing out for 4 weeks now, AT EVERY SPEECH AND INTERVIEW.  She also hits the lie about how the GOP shot down the shittiest bill ever to be put before a legislative body, the “immigration” bill.  See my comments on this issue here.  She once again had the gall to speak of fentanyl as if she or Biden or their boss, Obama ever gave the least shit about the issue.

And then came the memorized lie about Trump and the “bill” that was intended to fail BY THE DEMS!  The immigration discussion concludes with the promise by Kammy to sign that bill and Haiti your America, or Yemen YOU’RE America, or Venezuela, or Kazakhstan, or China…YOUR America.  And the idiots, there gathered, cheered.

The Economy

The way Oprah teed up the economic issue was beyond shameful.  The video featured a family (I’ll buy that) and two paid shills singing the praises of Kamala’s economic “plan”.  See my thoughts on that “plan” here.

The couple on the video were brought to the studio to ask what will you DO to save us? And boom – right back to memorized stump speech platitudes.  She also repeated the lies about price gouging.

She did her canned stuff about the first kid tax break and the first-time buyer break, neither of which help the couple.  They have a kid and own a home.  But Kammy is incapable of breaking with the script.

Now remember, Opie did start her career as a reporter.  With each question, if she had the least integrity, she could have pulled Kammy up short and asked for substance.  That is not going to happen.  I will keep this paragraph in.  And if it does happen, I’ll put it in this article.

And we get more of the Trump tax breaks for the rich lie.  Here’s the truth.  If you didn’t get an income tax break under Trump you didn’t have an income.  And if you were making less than $100k per year, you got the biggest tax reduction as a percentage of your income. This bimbo will let that expire.  She will guarantee the lowest paid people in this country get the biggest single tax increase, as a percentage of their income, ever!  And the idiots cheered.

Time check.  20 minutes in and we are still entirely on stump speech.  This knucklhead has yet to utter a thought of her own, and Oprah is only too happy to facilitate.  This is a stage production, not an interview.  But it is more glitzy than CNN’s stage production.

We jump to abortion.  The show lady runs a tape spewing all the standard pro-abortion propaganda.  Fourteen states having a total ban?  Not true.  Almost all have life of the mother, rape or incest exceptions.

States that have limitations, in the study I read, a pro-abortion study, the author was bitching about restrictions allowing up to 18 weeks OR MORE.  Quit your bitchin’ folks.  The video Opie played said the women were 3 time more likely to DIE if their state didn’t allow abortion.  That is not a fact.  It is made up out of whole cloth.  Having a baby is not a medical disorder.  The entire country is fully capable of treating every single mother who has a baby.  By saying that in such and such a state, a woman can’t get an abortion on demand or can’t do it after x weeks is not going to triple the number of deaths from being pregnant or having a baby.  That is pure bullshit.  And the idiots in the room gasped.

For those states that don’t allow abortions for rape or incest, they need to write laws that throw the offending adult (a blood test will do it) down a hole for a very, very long time.  Or let them ride the lightning.  I don’t care.

I found the Amber video especially cynical.  That girl died due to a series of medical fuckups, starting with issuing abortion pills.  And this gets the pro-abortion fanatics into a pickle.  They have been celebrating rulings that allow the issuance of these pill ONLINE!  And abortion clinics have been giving them out like candy, often telling the patients they are totally safe.  They are not, as Amber’s case demonstrates.

She didn’t die because she went out of state for an abortion.  She died because an asshole gave her pills and didn’t insist they be taken under the supervision and observation of a doctor. 

There is no pain greater than losing your child.  But putting that lady there, talking about Amber, was done for the drama ONLY.  I will assume the mother doesn’t know that. But I spit on the producers of this circus for that. 

And not for nothin’, has anyone heard in the last several years a public statement saying pregnancies don’t happened because you tripped on your shoelace?  If a woman was not abused, she got pregnant by an act of her own free will.  If you can’t support a baby, abstain or find creative ways to get off.  There are lots of ways to have sex, but only one that will make you pregnant.  We’d have fewer unwanted pregnancies to discuss if we taught our girls responsibility.  Practice self-agency before the fact.

On this subject, spurred on by the political whore of the week, Kamala intentionally strayed from the actual argument about abortion, which except for anti-abortion fanatics, is a discussion about abortion on demand.  Not due to rape or incest or the life of the mother.  Also, replacing the word abortion with “health care” is childishly disingenuous.  Abortion is a form of health care.  But there is an infinite amount of health care all woman can get, pregnant or not, that isn’t an abortion.

Stupid lines like that are what keeps the abortion issue in people’s minds.  And the stupid applaud.  Oprah just says, “yep, yep”.

Here's the most cynical part.  That mother and all the videos and audience participation was canned, planned and intended to fill time.  It also gave Harris lots of points to go after in her next response.

BUT…

We just get more canned Kamala.  Sickening.  And the prison for life crap, when considering the life of the mother, is a lie.  I’ll check further, but it ain’t so.

Two more fluff pieces with a dem campaign worker and Julia Roberts.  Kamala must be great because she has movie stars who like her!

By the time Tracy Whoever popped up on the screen I heard “Joy” so many times I threw up in my mouth a little bit.   And here’s how Oprah demonstrated how worthless the scripted “interview” was.  “This is exciting though.  Isn’t this exciting?”

But Miss Whoever did say something interesting.  She spoke of leading with “kindness”.  In this context, that’s a hoot! More than 90% of Kammy’s office staff left her because she treats people like shit.  The ”joy” and “kindness” crap is pure astroturf.  Just like Kammy’s appointment to the ballot by Obama.

She also said something I agree with.  Vote straight GOP up and down the ballot.  She didn’t say it exactly that way, but I’m sure that is what she meant.  If you vote for Trump, I don’t care if a Dem in the race is your uncle, vote straight GOP or you’re screwed!

Poor Donald.  He doesn’t have Hollywood pinheads willing to stage a phony event so people can bow and scrape and get paid to talk nice about him.

On guns

And they got to slip in their favorite LIE in a video.  More kids killed by guns than any other cause.  In 2018, it was the flu.  In all other years, it’s car accidents.  It’s not guns.

And Orka…there I go again…OPRAH needs to take her STOP KILLING KIDS SHOW to Chicago.  She’d save infinitely more lives changing that then all the school shootings put together.  But that won’t happen.  She doesn’t lose a second of sleep over those kids.

At about the 1:15:00 mark we get more political exploitation of pain with a kid being brought into an adult conversation.  But, HEY!  This is Oprah and the Cacklin’ Hyena.  But I was with the kid right up until she started snapping her applause.  A Lefty affectation.  She was coached and propped up.  Disgusting.

SO FAR, the most egregious shit to ooze from Harris’ mouth, and we’ve heard it before, was her pretending Trump said, speaking of a school shooting, that they should just get over it.  What an unforgivable piece of shit she shows herself to be with that line.  His comments in that speech were loving and heart-felt.  His sympathy was beyond question and he was speaking aspirationally when he spoke of some day, everybody in the community getting over the tragedy so they could get on with their lives.

But that’s the constant playbook Obama has set for these puppets.  Take anything Trump says, especially good things or healing words and pervert the message with the their tribal bullshit.

Meryl Streep, also a HUGE fan of Harvey Weinstein, was angling for her next academy award by implying that EVERYTHING mentioned in the circus was caused by people who disagree with her political tribe. Assuming a Kammy win [very breathy – faking worry] “What happens”?  I have news for Streep and everybody in the audience.  If Trump loses, there will be National Guard at the capitol this time on 7 January.  No riot. That didn’t happen last time because Nancy was determined that an incident of SOME sort would occur.

But, if Trump wins, you will see Lefty dirt bags across the country burning cars, attacking police and, of course looting (never pass up that opportunity) for weeks or months after the election.  And YOU WILL see Dem politicians encouraging all of it.  You see, GOP people don’t tend to riot. The Jan 6 mini riot was a one off, goaded by feds and possibly Antifa poofs.  The poofs were there and throwing punches, charging the fences, etc.  It’s the Left that does the mindless mob shit as a rule.

But I’ll say to all the show folk, including Kammy, at the circus stunt town hall, I wouldn’t poke the GOP bear much more. You need to stop smearing and insulting half the country. I spoke in a previous episode of a tipping point.  We’ve endured a lot of crap from the Left.  And the last three Obama terms saw more damage done to our country than Vietnam, Korea, and all of Goddamistan combined, intentionally by the blob, which Obama serves so faithfully.  I don’t know how much longer our forbearance will last. 

A book note: My guilty pleasure

I’ve been reading a series of books, the After Dunkirk series by Lee Jackson. It features a families trek through the war. I call it a guilty pleasure because it is too pat how they all find themselves in proximity of all the key moments in the war. But the characters are easy to sympathize with and the stories are well-woven together. So, it’s easy to overlook the literary conveniences.

You are being tenderized, marinated.

The Left is already preparing you for all the ways they’ll be gaming the system this election season.

They’re already denying that illegals will vote this year. But if you have two brain cells to rub together, you know that illegals voting, in big numbers, is a forgone conclusion. Across the country we have motor-voter laws. You register to drive or get just an ID, you can check a box and poof you’re a voter. In Wisconsin it is automatic. You have to look for the box to check in order to OPT OUT! And the Dems can’t get licenses and IDs into the hands of illegals fast enough. It’s the reason these diseased wretches have been brought into this country!

The ballot dumpsters will be deployed. Ballots will be harvested across the country. And that is the funniest one because the Dems even deny the ballot harvesting even exists - then they send out armies of Dem activists to do it.

But what got me cranked up on the issue this week was an article about the post office and YOUR ballot. In order to justify the sloppy, often corrupt handling of ballots, the Post Office is already preempting their part in the scam by warning that mail-in ballots that are postmarked on time for the election may not make it to their respective election offices in time to be counted.

There is so much wrong with this unsolicited bit of news. First, let’s assume the announcement is totally above board and that the post office is pure and devoid of a single political activist (stupid, I know). And let’s forget about ballots being found in storm drains in 2016, and strewn on the floors of post offices, unattended in 2020. If the postal sercvice is simply saying it can’t do its job and handle the volume, we have a big problem. A few more concerns arise.

* Just by virtue of the statement alone, we have a great argument against mass mail-in balloting. Designed for a lazy, gullible populous, its biggest, built-in failure is the sheer volume of mail the system creates. And let’s face it, just on customer service alone, the post office has been getting a pretty bad reputation lately. So flooding every post office in the country with stuff that has to move in a finite window of time, IS a major problem.

That’s just one reason mail-in should be reserved to absentee balloting only. Military, ex-pats and the truly disabled (that doesn’t include someone with a disabled stick on their car).

* Based on the Post Office press release we already know the parties, especially the Dems will be lawyering up early, ready to run to a Lefty judge to say ALL late ballots must be counted, drawing the election out with no clear end date. I mean even the post office said they couldn’t handle the volume back in September, right?!

* Postal carriers (we used to call them mailmen - that’s like double or triple entendre in this day and age) are officials tasked with delivering parcels. They are not election officials. We have no recourse against them mishandling ballots. All they have to do is pick them up and not scan them, and they can then disappear without a trace; perhaps down a storm drain.

* Now let’s leave the assumption of purity, I allowed earlier, aside. The post office is a union operation. Unions are rife with political activists (to put it mildly) and among political activists are people who will do ANYTHING to see their tribe win, especially if their tribe paid them, per ballot lost, to do it. This is one of the reasons JIMMY CARTER of all people said we MUST NOT have mass mail-in balloting. Along with that reason was the lack of proof of ID, exacerbated by voter rolls that haven’t been purged. And the temptation of ballots sitting around for weeks is too great. There are cheaters in every single endeavor of life. Why give them the opportunity to cheat us here?

If you get a chance, read Falling Empires by James Rosose and Miranda Watson. It’s a very good read. It’s starts out with a scenario where the bad guys are rigging an election. It demonstrates how easy it would be for postal workers to mess with the outcome of an election at least in their area. And since the Empires scenario is coordinated, the process is repeated across the country in key areas.

I am confident, the Post Office press release is propaganda intended to give you something to look back on and say, “No, they just had trouble delivering ballots. They said so earlier. Nobody cheats.” This instead of simply using overtime, something they are very generous with anyway.

In the book, the plot is discovered, involving mail carriers, during the election; but too late to do anything about it. With their track record, we can be assured that one way or another, the piss-poor handling of ballots WILL impact yet another election.

You’ll know the cheating is baked in as soon as you are told you won’t get results the night of the election or even the day after. They will be cheating. Also the phrase “stop the count” will indicate they are cheating.

Add to all the above double scanning (it’s been well-documented, happening thousands of times at one location) and dead people and ex-residents voting and you have the full scam to ponder.

But just by eliminating mail-in voting, we would go a long way in restoring SOME of the integrity of our elections. There is zero integrity now. Whether it is just the lazy, sloppiness of the system, or because of that actual cheating, a sane person CANNOT have any faith whatsoever in the process as it is.

Possible “debate” scandal

On the morning after the “debate”, my co host, Ron and I both registered extreme skepticism about Kammy’s stepford-like performance. After 5 days of extreme handling, she went from the cackling idiot we’ve known since 2018 to a talking points drone, reciting one catchphrase after another, few answers and no truth. Smooth. We weren’t buying it. There was something rotten in Denmark.

I made a joke about Donna Brazile who was sent by CNN to deliver debate questions to BJ Bill’s wife in the 2016 election.

So, we weren’t surprised that somebody at ABC might have a conscience. We are told that Kammy received questions ahead of the debate. One apologists called them just “sample” questions. We’ll watch this story unfold. But we do know the MSM is carrying Kamala. CNN put out a heavily edited “interview” to make her look good, and the moderators, whether she actually got the questions ahead of time or not, coddled Kammy.

But you can now say beyond doubt, that single network debates not under the auspices of the Debate Commission (not that they are great shakes) are to be avoided by politicians and ignored by thinking voters.

THE POPLITICAL WHORE OF THE WEEK: JOHN KIRBY

Pentagon Spokesman, John Kirby, who loves a camera almost as much as he loves himself, was a political whore since he disgraced his Navy uniform under the B. Hussein White House. Much like KJP (aka, Little Orphan Annie), in his times as Pantagon and State Department face guy, he rarely ever spoke a single word of truth. He was never a spokesman. He has been, since the first time I laid eyes on him, a self-promoting, lying shill.

He’s also a world-class asshole in private, evidently. This week he responded to an email regarding the rout of our forces, under Joe Duh, from Afghanistan. Regarding ciritcism of the debacle, Kirby said it all comes from a “handful of vets, all of one stripe.”

I suppose he felt utterly superior when he hit send, and may have continued to wallow in his wonderfulness if he didn’t find out he had hit reply all in a larger email thread. What a dick.

It IS possible he lives inside the DC bubble so contentedly that he has no clue about what people ACROSS THE ENTIRE COUNTRY think about Abbey Gate and the withdrawal as a whole. People like Kirby really think reality is what they make it and remind us that not ALL men who wear the uniform are heros. Some are shitheels.

Kirby should be fired. That won’t happen. There is NO accountability anywhere in the Executive Branch in this, Obama’s third term. If he had an ounce of integrity, he’d resign. But I just defeated my own assertion in the same sentence.

Getting flimflammed over the bodies of our soldiers.

I just came across this little gem today. I was doing some reaserach for the pervious segment. I mean I didn’t want to call somebody a complete dickhead jagoff without reading up first, right?

AP blindly released Defense Department talking points about the Abbey Gate bombing. It was declared by the DoD to have been an unpreventable suicide bombing. I have heard first-hand testimomy from people ON THE GROUND who said they had the suspected bomber (intel said he was planning something) in the crosshairs but never got clearance to take him out.

The Pantagon says that their own analysis says the man our troops spotted was not the bomber. They claim to have arrived at this conclusion using facial recognition software.

One might accuse me of obstinancy for doubting the Pantagon’s version of the story. That’s fair. But please consider everything I’ve said today prior to this segment.

Further, the real Beltway two-step being performed here is the misdirection. The argument about preventing Abbey Gate isn't about who soptted, or didn't spot, the bad guy. By narrowing the focus to just that dispute, the Pentaqgon is trying to wash its hands of the 13 dead.

Sorry, gang. That dog won’t hunt.

Abbey Gate was set in motion when the Pentagon on the orders of OBAMA, not Joe Duh, start to beat feet to that airport with no viable plan to execute an orderly withdrawal.

The worst, and most idiotic move in this whole exercise was the lack of a theater-wide and orderly collapse of perimiters. I guess the Brass in our present Pentagon were all out sick the day they were teaching military shit in military school.

The second most idiotic move was giving up Bagram. We had a fortified, military position. Citing my previous statement, you collapse your presence through the country in concentric circles. As you leave each step becomes a force multiplier to the circle previously behind it. You tell all allied civilian nationals you’re leaving. Climb aboard or piss up a rope. And you move toward Bagram.

By keeping a no man’s land in your front, you have time to move civilians and supplies out, then move your troops and finally, your security out under intense air cover. Hell, we should still be sitting our fat asses in Bagram today!

Kammy on TV!

I was just about to hit “save” when I heard that Kammy sat down with a reporter in Philly and gave an interview. I jumped onto YouTube to catch the fiasco.

My god! I could write a book on that eleven minutes. Asked for details about her “Opportunity Economy”, she spend 2 1/2 minutes just getting to an economic point. Read my article “Kamalanomics” here. Only brainless socialists don’t understand what the only OPPORTUNITY economy is. Kammy is clueless. Out of one side of her face she speaks of an opportunity economy, then speaks of getting the government further involved in the private economy. Incredible.

She also talked about buying votes with loans to small business. Kammy, sweetie, we already have that. It’s called the Small Business Administration (SBA). And they trip over themselves pissing money on businesses, good or bad because they are owned my women, or blacks, or disabled, or whatever flavor of American you divide us into. Combinations of flavors get LOTS of money from the government already. So, babe, you’re about 30 years late on that bit of your political whoring.

Stay focused… or get focused, whatever the case may be.

Consider everything I’ve said today. All this is woven into the very fabric of the top of the Democrat Party and the bureaucrats of the permanent governing class. They refuse to hear you or see you.

I am not telling you anything new. Take the time to browse my stuff (and that of others). I know I’m not pretty. I am admittedly “pedestrian”. But I also didn’t come down with the last drop of rain. Most of my observations are proven correct, and my predictions almost always come true. I give you Davos, the jab, tapping the SPR, how social distancing was a bullshit, random number, etc…

If the people we discuss here today are in power in 2025, they will put into play all the things you are being specifically told they will NOT put into play. Guns, illegals, crime, socialism…all those things will be front and center. Denying your rights in all these areas and more will be the very essence of a Harris “Administration”, directed by the Obama Cabal.

We have strayed so far from the genius of the Constitution, we hardly have the right to call ourselves the United States of America as established by that document. Every year, the road back gets longer. And we haven't even endeavored to start back down that road. We must start NOW before that road is gone.

Orwell was a god!

And remember: The wolf never loses sleep over the opinions of sheep.

Well, the debate will be in the can.  Trump was typically inarticulate.  My complaint about him since 2015.  Willy Brown’s former main squeeze spent the entire night lying and projecting without a peep from moderators.  To her credit, there was no cackling, and her 5 days of coaching and two-a-day mock debates paid off.  But the country, as with every “debate” we’ve seen since Nixon/Kennedy, learned nothing true or genuine.

Some quick hits

As of today, I think we can stop saying illegals are all the salt of the earth and don’t have a negative impact on our society, especially the Haitians and Venezuelans.  We’ve let more than ten million into the country unchecked.  We have no clue where most of them are and the people who did that to you are now saying we have a housing crisis and they’re going to fix it.  You can’t make this shit up.

Ukraine is sending drone (the kind that explode) right into Moscow.  This bloody circus will end soon, or it will widen and intensify significantly.  There are no other possibilities.  Iran is sending in more weapons.  That tells you how under-powered Russia really is.

A hurricane is gearing up to hit the gulf coast.  Stand by for much wailing and gnashing of teeth among the Green Scam folks.

The Main Event:  More input from Ayn Rand.

I’m enjoying Ayn Rand’s compilation of LA Times columns.  It’s like a time capsule.  It reminds us that the more things change, the more they stay the same.   In every article we find a treatment of issues we still wrestle with today.  That demonstrates a timelessness most writers would envy.

It’s not ALL the same.  In her time most teenagers were far more intelligent, with fewer resources to be so, than their 2024 counterparts.  Compared to society in the 1960’s we truly ARE the idiocrasy.

I get a real kick out of how Ayn Rand portrays the Lefties she antagonized (no, that’s not a bad thing).  She calls them parlor pinks.  These were the suburban, middle- and upper-class bimbos who knew nothing of the world other than that sophisticated people smoked cigarettes and tried to talk like the TV.  Few understood then, as now, what the free market is or how you damage your life when you denigrate it to look “smart” at cocktail parties.  They don’t smoke as much today.

The childish ignorance of this cadre is laughably exposed in Rand’s sendup of a “free speech” issue. This article demonstrates the same principles you’ll find here, at the P4B.  But the specific issue she is arguing is slightly different than the one we face today.

She starts by correctly spanking ABC News and Howard K. Smith for bringing in Alger Hiss, a convicted perjurer and Soviet spy (yes, he was, see the Verona Files).  He was taken down by a young Richard Nixon in 1950. In 1962, the network brought him in to comment on Nixon as the former VP.  This brought a landslide of criticism from the public and caused some companies to pull their advertising from the network.  Reasonable.

Fast forward to today.  Now, we have Bill Ayers, a late 60’s domestic terrorist, who is the toast of the upper crust Lefties of our day and sought out for his expertise in politics (!).  We also have James Comey and BJ Bill’s wife teaching college courses in good governance.  The irony is so thick you can grease your wheel bearings with it.

When ads were pulled in ’62, the reaction from the network and the parlor pinks was to accuse the sponsors of censorship.  Half of you just chuckled when you read that because you see the utter stupidity of the accusation.  Some of you are shaking your heads saying, but wait, isn’t that censorship?  The answer is no.

It was a pity that some in 1960’s, and more’s the pity today, that MOST PEOPLE don’t understand the difference between censoring speech and not actively supporting speech you find repugnant with YOUR OWN MONEY.  Censorship is something only a governing body can impose and is utterly unconstitutional in the civilized world.  Our membership in that world is about to lapse.  But NO company or individual is bound by any stretch of law or ethics to spend their money on messaging they find ridiculous or destructive.  In Smith’s case at ABC the interview was both at inception.

But back then, even your average teenager could discern the difference.  Only emotional Lefties, looking to shoehorn their backward beliefs into every issue, claimed that pulling sponsorship from a network was censorship.

Back to 2024.

Our fight against real censorship is far more difficult.  We are silenced by forces that have the power of the government front and center in the effort.  We have massive social networks, founded on the very promise of free speech for all.  Come to Facebook, come to Twitter and speak your mind.  Search to your heart’s delight on Google.  These networks are now monopolistic thanks to help from the government.

We have the bureaucrats atop the FBI, CIA, NSA and IRS brazenly going directly to the social networks and TELLING them to take down content that threatens their status as the permanent governing class.  It’s been happening for a decade.  On two occasions they first denied doing it, then said they did it but stopped, then went about doing it some more.

Under orders from B. Hussein (peace be upon him), Joe Biden’s people started a thought police agency (the Disinformation Bureau).  When the public flipped out over it, they quickly said they had disbanded it.  But the very same people, from that day to this, work closely with crony social networks to suppress speech they don’t like.

Admittedly, they don’t need as much active cajoling of Zuck, et al, to get satisfaction.  They’ve gotten the cronies to change the algorithm so that phrases, or even images are downlisted, or flagged or yanked outright.  The big, bad, offensive post right now contains symbols like the American flag or a bald eagle.  I received a post with an image containing both.  FACEBOOK covered it with a warning banner saying the content contained a violent image.  AN EAGLE AND A GODDAMN FLAG!  Rainbow flag?  Sure!  PLO or HAMAS flag?  You bet!  But our national ensign is a violent image.  We are a nation of brain damaged 12-year-olds!

But I digress.

We all know the government can’t censor.  But I have heard remarkably stupid people, or people just shilling for the governing class, say that this is not censorship because social networks and search engines are private companies and can do whatever they want with their companies.  BUT, unlike the 1960’s issue we discussed above, this is not a case of private companies simply making decisions in a vacuum.  This the government suborning crony companies to censor on the government’s behalf.  You can’t do that either.  You can’t contract out censorship.

Add to that the point I’ve made several times on this Substack.  We now have the UN, through UNESCO and the Davos/WEF cult getting into the action and pressuring (paying $$ millions) social networks to throttle speech of private American citizens.

It was just last year that Kammy made this speech about “hate speech”.  This “lawyer” obviously spent too much time bouncing on Willy when she should have been studying the constitution.

And left to their own devices, these companies wouldn’t spend the money or endure the hassle of throttling this post and not that one.  That’s difficult.  In their best form they would simply watch for violence and report it to authorities, local to the user in question.

So yes, today we DO have Orwellian censorship.  In 1962, denying YOUR money or your stockholders’ money from the support of a stupid message is not censorship.  In 2024, having the ruling Cabal stroking social media and the MSM under the table to squash messaging makes the ruling Cabal criminals against the people of these United States.

I’ve had a fortuitous convergence of input and ideas in the preceding week.  I’ve been reading the Personal Memoirs of Memoirs of Ulysses S. Grant and The Ayn Rand Column (which surprisingly enough, is a compilation of columns Ayn Rand wrote for the LA Times in the early ‘60s. Who’d’a thunk it).

While that’s going on, I happened across a clip of Jordan Peterson discussing “toxic” masculinity.  An old favorite. And though some Boomers and the next two generations believe that history started the day they reached puberty, they may want to listen to Peterson, Grant and Rand to expand their knowledge and thinking about manhood.

The drivel about the “sensitive” male is not new.  The InstaGram dorks spouting this garbage today did not invent a new, revolutionary concept.  The idea of the “toxic” male, the “domineering” male, the mansplainer…are all phony, meaningless contrivances weak men in every generation invent to look down upon.  I’ve seen iterations of it in the 1960’s, then the late 80’s and early 90’s, then it reemerged again as fashionable around 2015.  Sadly, with the dumbing down effect of social media, the idea is a bit stickier this time around.  I think the gibberish about “toxic” masculinity this time around is amplified by the immergence of hard-core gender bending.  Before society gets to dealing with the subtle differences between “strong” and “bad” men, we will have to squash the bugs who want bearded lady circus freaks sharing the restroom with our teenage daughters.  But that is for another show.

I worry whether we’ve gone so far around the bend this time that we might not find a path back.

Sometimes it’s women who conflate the behavior of psychotic or insecure men with whom they’ve interacted, with the idea of a strong man.  These men had, or pursued, perverse power over the lives of some women. The women rightfully resented it.  But, in their minds, and because of the mistreatment, all strong men become sexual predators.  It’s like the lunatics we see frequently saying that all white people are racist by virtue of their being white, an equally stupid concept.

Also, with varying degrees of success, celebrity weaklings of various levels of fame, have succeeded in convincing at least a part of their generation that REAL men are bad. Sunken-chested weaklings are the pillars of society.  The whole mess can be far more nuanced than I can possibly account for here.  It runs the gambit from women who think their power derives from demeaning men in the workplace to males emulating weak fathers, or obsessed with their mothers, to cuckoldry.  But there is no valid reason to denigrate the role of strong healthy men in society.  When societies throughout history did that, they damaged themselves.

We’ll start with Peterson and expand out.

One of the points he tends to hammer home is the difference between men who are a danger to society - violent men, bad men - and men who are capable of violence – capable of being dangerous – but not at all cruel or violent by default.

The former is not such because he suffers from being male.  Most people, not just men, who are violent, are the way they are because they have failed in some other area of life, or because influential figures in their life failed them.  In the case of men, it can at least be said that someone, by word or deed, taught them a warped view of life and how to interact with others.  I suspect there are often psychological disorders involved.

These types of people, especially men are dangerous and behave in a dangerous way.  They tend to be violent or at least mindlessly aggressive by default.

I won’t get into how we deal with these people now.  But I am not terribly sympathetic toward adults who have come of age and not learned the error in their ways or not realized they had a problem and tried to combat it.

All this contrasts with the strong man.  Men who live a healthy life and have people and interests to protect.  Is it not best that these men be at least capable of violence?  Should his home be invaded, is it not the highest good that he be capable of putting a bullet in the skull of the invader rather than seeing his family harmed?  If someone enters his place of business, attacking customers or destroying his property, is it not correct that he causes that to stop, by violent means if necessary?

On this subject, Peterson makes an excellent point.  A man with the capacity to be dangerous, who would only employ that propensity, when necessary, is not a bad man.  Conversely, the man who is not dangerous because he is weak, is not automatically a good man.  One might argue that if he remained weak in all situations, he is a bad man.  This despite that he might be a very pleasant person to talk to.

It's ironic that the people best known to espouse the views of the weakest in our culture (I emphasize “espouse” because it is not genuine) are Hollywood showfolk.  They tend to advance the weakest and most socially denigrating ideas in public, then go on to glorify the mindless or vindictive violence we are speaking of here, in their work.  In many cases they venerate or make excuses for the worst kinds of violence that go beyond protecting lives and homes.  Their flicks often put gratuitous violence front and center.

My take is this:  It is by allowing those with a twisted proclivity for dangerous and violent behavior to roam the streets, and by holding up the weak as good, we coarsen society.  By respecting strong men who behave respectfully and by teaching our boys to become such men, we improve society immeasurably.

Ayn Rand’s take on manliness

As I said earlier, there is nothing new in this conflict of ideas.  With the least exception, a straight line runs from the political Left, those who wish to control our lives and be obeyed, and the people who seek to denigrate personal strength and free thought.  You won’t find too many people, men or women on the Right, for example, who care a lick about your “personal” pronouns.  Nor will you find many there who wish to raise weak, docile men. 

In one of Ayn Rand’s columns, she spoke of the media’s reaction to the TV series, The Untouchables.  As you might expect, in the context of this post, the media elites were panning the very qualities in the main character and storyline, that this post endorses.  The writers and producers intentionally created Elliot Ness with a morals-based sense of purpose.  He was intensely focused, slow to anger, but quick to destroy that which would destroy the society he protects.

Here's how Rand sees Robert Stack’s “Ness”:

By the austere, unsmiling grimness of his manner, the total self-confidence even in moments of temporary defeat, so total that it can afford to be unstressed, the controlled intensity, the quiet absolute dedication to the moral justice of his task, Stack conveys the integrity of a truly untouchable man – a man whom evil cannot tempt, because it has nothing to offer him.  By the faint, occasional hints of a bitterly patient weariness, he projects that fighting evil is not a lark or a glamorous adventure, but a grim job and deadly battle.

As Rand points out, it was these very traits the softies in the media attacked in their reviews of the series.  If the term “toxic masculinity” existed in the 60’s, the triggered reviewers of The Untouchables would have ALL used it.  They did not then, as the InstaGram knuckleheads do not now, understand the actual qualities that make men, real men, men who strengthen society. 

The cyclical concept of weak or primarily sensitive men being superior is a contrivance.  It is the creation of weak men and insecure women lashing out against qualities they lack, and perhaps wish they possessed.  But they don’t – so they try to belittle the men who do.

Ulysses S. Grant

I included Grant in this discussion because I happened to have his and Rand’s books open at the time and because he demonstrates the concept of the type of man I advocate for on a macro level.

Look at the military left us by General Mark Milley, former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs.  Chris Plante, radio personality, likes to call him “thoroughly Modern Milley.  Milley was the very essence of the post-Vietnam yes-man, an empty uniform, a man devoid of personal conviction or the true vision of a leader.  His Chairmanship was marred, by his own hand, with faddish obsessions.   He had men dressed as women making drag recruiting videos.  Then, coward that he is, deflected responsibility for it.  He became the military king of the diversity hire.  Not only was that a disservice to the uniform, but it was also a disservice to those brought up based on skin color or genitalia.  Their peers, or worse subordinates, will always put a mental asterisk next to their names, wondering if they were really qualified or if their promotion just checked a Milley “woke” box.

Rather than build a military intended to break all enemies of their ability to resist our will (his only fucking job), he built one ONLY to please his transient betters in DoD, congress and the White House.  As a result, of the 30% of our teenage/young adult population physically qualified to serve in the armed forces, few wish to.  These kids aren’t stupid.  They see the trends.  And normal kids don’t want to salute a dude in a woman’s uniform.

The philosophy of the modern military is to be risk averse.  To avoid battle at all costs, and when battle finds us, to creep into it with a primary goal of not losing.  I didn’t say winning, I said “not losing”.  That’s why we wasted 125,000+ lives from 1950 – 2021, while fighting, in most cases, ridiculously inferior forces.

Also, as we discovered during Vietnam, if the casualty numbers are low, per week, we can extend a fiasco almost indefinitely.  But as George Patton taught us, it is better to take the big lumps quick and early with the intention of annihilating the enemy, thereby taking fewer casualties over time AND winning.

War is an ugly business; best fought by the MEN I speak of in this post.

So how does Grant figure?  Think large-scale.

As you read his amazing tome, Personal Memoirs of Ulysses S. Grant, you get to see him learn how to use and move his forces as men learn to be men and muster their personal strength, only using those strengths violently when the situation requires it of him.  As an aside, you also see him evolve in his thinking about of the Civil War and race and slavery.

As a junior officer, when the outcome of a major battle did not rest on HIS shoulders, Grant was a textbook guy.  He fulfilled his obligations as a cog in a bigger wheel.  Except for a bit of adrenaline, he said he never felt trepidation when approaching the enemy.

That would change.  And it is in the change and the lessons learned, lessons which the man MUST see in order TO learn (that’s called growing up), we see Grant learn as we would wish our men - and now, sadly, some of our women – to learn.

Approaching Florida Parishes in Mississippi, Grant noticed the absence of man and beast along the march.  Everything pointed to real trouble.  Grant, now in command of a substantial army, the onus of victory on him, felt real fear. He says:

“As we approached the brow of the hill from which it was expected we could see Harris’ camp, and possibly find his men ready formed to meet us, my heart kept getting higher and higher until it felt to me it was in my throat.  I would have given anything to have been back in Illinois, but I had not the moral courage to halt and consider what to do; I kept right on.”

But Harris and his troops had bailed from their position as Grant’s forces approached. The camps were empty. Grant said his heart returned to its normal place.  Grant assesses thus:

“It occurred to me at once that Harris had been as much afraid of me as I had been of him.  This was the view of the question I had never taken before; but it was one I never forgot afterwards.  From that event to the close of the war, I never felt trepidation upon meeting the enemy…”

This doesn’t mean Grant never felt ANY anxiety, his concerns were detailed and monumental in every campaign.  But his realization that his enemy were NOT supermen and had traits to be exploited gave him a significant advantage.

By contrast, characters like “thoroughly modern Milley” climbed the ranks in an era when all generals were expected to be like George McClellan, take the field with bravado and then hunker down.  Don’t fight unless you already know the risks have been minimized or eliminated.  Then speak of your engagements like they were all Antietam or the Battle of the Bulge, even though they were just a few hooches or an ammo dump.  A Mark Milley could never have taken the mantle of responsibility so completely onboard as Grant did in Mississippi and after.

It worth noting the obvious.  NO general prior to the Obama administration would have allowed men in his ranks to don dresses either.

Being a MAN, whether as commander of an army, or a CEO, or a floor manager, or just living your own best life, is a matter of priorities and guts.  Get them right and you are a man.  And there is nothing - absolutely NOTHING – wrong with that.

I am mired in information these days.

During the preparation of this show I watched an episode of the podcast Modern/Wisdom. I’ll link it as a button so as not to distract from this post.  But it was an incredibly interesting conversation.  And as of this moment I haven’t gotten through all of it.

But there was something presented that really hit home with me. It regarded “audience capture” and a new term (for me anyway) “criticism capture” (about 1:13:00 in the video).   The subject on M/W was physics and argument surrounding string theory.  It seems physics guys can be brutal and petty, quite the showmen at times.  But the criticism capture theory immediately made me reflect on my work, politically, socially and economically; it’s what I do.  I won’t pretend to be operating on the level of those guys on M/W.  But in response to how they defined and demonstrated their terms, I will say the following.

When I criticize, even in brash terms, it is always my aim to be speaking truth, even satirical truth (Tampon Tim pops to mind).  If I ever give inaccurate information - I don’t believe it happens often - I NEVER do that or anything else with the goal of deceiving. 

But the job of the critic is always the easy one, isn’t it.  Done right, it requires work, but the critic rarely suffers the slings and arrows.  He launches them.  So, if you catch me short on a subject, or even think you do, I truly want you to call me out.  While I believe in spanking someone in private and praising them in public, my work is already out there.  So don’t be afraid to ding me in the comments.

I will address such concerns with clarification or possibly a change of position if the comments provide new facts for me to consider.

The big “debate”

I am convinced 90% of the people who tune into the upcoming debate between Orange Man and the Cacklin’ Hyena will be looking for a repeat, one way or the other, of the previous debate.  They tuned into that one to see a big NASCAR crash.  And they got it.

Some folks are hoping that Trump take a pit stop at the wrong time.  Others are hoping Kammy hits the wall and spins into the infield.  My gut says that if you’re hoping for a fiery wreck of any kind, you won’t be disappointed.

The Dem party and the Cabal want us to believe that Kammy is hugely popular.  She is so popular, in fact, she had to bus in staffers from all over New England to attend a “rally” in Boston.  If she was worth a bucket of warm spit to rank and file Dems, they should have been turning people away.  But she’s not.

Further, she is supposed be a great prosecutor, DA and AG from California.  Not only is she joyful (and likes school busses and Venn diagrams), but she’s brilliant.  So ACCOMPLISHED!  And yet she still needs 5 days of back-to-back debate sessions to memorize a laundry list of responses to questions she is not supposed to know – nor is her staff. 

No matter.

Trump on the other hand is vulgar, an upstart.  He never amounted to anything (aside from tens of billions of dollars’ worth of real estate that didn’t exist, or had fallen to ruin, before he came along).  We already know what his debate style is:  say any goddamn thing he wants to say.  And that is what makes him dangerous.

Count on one of two outcomes on Tuesday.

1)          Trump uses his free-wheeling style to mentally derail Kammy from her pre-packaged program, in which case you will watch her campaign melt on the spot.

OR

2)         Kammy stays inside her handlers’ guardrails and the numbers remain as they are.  There’s no way a Communist is going to shake a single vote from DJT.  He could shit on the stage and that wouldn’t happen.

I’m calling it a 52/48 shot in favor of the Donald.  That isn’t a reflection of relative popularity.  That would be an 80/20 for Trump.  I just think the moderators will carry Kammy when she gets into trouble.  She’ll have to screw up badly to make that impossible.  But it would warm the heart to see the meltdown.
