  • Kristol Krap

    Barry, the racist guy.

But before we get to Bill Kristol… Barry O - B. Hussein, peace be upon him, had his racist Biden moment last week. Most remember Joe’s moments. He said Barack was significant, for a black guy BECAUSE he was a clean and articulate. He also said to that ego freak Constantine, “If you don’t vote for me, you ain’t Black!”

So now that Kammy is in trouble, Barry O is telling the ”brothers” (his pandering, not mine) that it would be “unacceptable” for black men to vote for Trump. Barry goes on to conflate his life, and Kammy’s, with the Black experience in America. That was the funniest part of the speech. I stand amazed that ANYONE still looks at Obama and sees him as genuine. He’s not.

    Rocky Kanaka

I mentioned Rocky in a previous post. There is a special treat at the end of the podcast. You’ll find a link at the end of the text. It will be the first of all the buttons we encourage our listeners to use.

My biggest take-away from Rocky’s videos is that dogs are not toys. They aren’t optional accessories. They are innocent beings. If you are on a tight budget, don’t get a dog. If you don’t have time to spend teaching, petting and playing a dog, don’t get a dog. They need genuine love and attention.

When you take a dog out of a homelife and abandon it, or even give it to a shelter, this is what their lives often become.

On the happier flipside, if you do have the time and intent to be a good dog owner, please consider adopting a dog that needs you desperately. The rewards will be 10x the work needed to bring these sweet creatures back to life. There wil always be people who need that perfect show dog, with papers to decorate their couch. And those people are good dog owners as a general rule. But the human that takes a dog that thought its life was over and has the dog jumping and playing and walking in the park will actually have the better dog; I don’t care what breeders tell you.

    Spread the love.

Enough cutsie crap. Time to spank.

As promised, I am giving Bill Kristol the same treatment for his incredibly stupid posts on X, as I did Robert Reich last year. Making this job easier is the super-girly nature of Kristol’s posts. Every single day, Bill spends TOO MUCH time on the social media site formerly known as Twitter, excreting the diarrhea caused by his Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS).

This is a pernicious affliction that affects almost half our population. Fortunately, in most people the symptoms are mild. Symptoms include voting for idiots because one doesn’t love Orange Man. Some people will put out or repost the odd hit on Trump.

However, as in the case of Bill Kristol, the symptoms can be severe. Grown men are reduced to the level of middle school mean girls. Their every thought is centered on their auto-erotic obsession with a celebrity they claim to hate. At the same time they think of almost nothing else.

The result is endless public tantrums that would leave a normal person embarrassed if they gave into one of them. But in the severe cases, like Kristol, all self-control is lost. They have no “edit” button. And the girly shit is splattered all over their pages.

Before becoming a girl, Kristol was a respected commentator on both sides of the aisle. Despite his dogged support for Reagan and Bushes 41 and 43, he was a regular on FOX and ABC and NBC. He even had a seat on PBS panels. But his style sets my teeth on edge. He (especially in the early days 80’s and early 90’s), literally looked down his nose at people when he spoke. He wears a constant smirk and affects a valley girl lazy voice. He was and is the very model of an Ivy League snob.

But he was our Ivy League snob. We suffered the poofiness.

Then something happened. Perhaps the Lefties stopped inviting him to the coolest garden parties. He saw Trump as a member of the “great unwashed”, undeserving a seat at the table of untrammeled power people like Bill think they alone should enjoy. Whatever it was, Kritol’s apparent testosterone level dropped to zero and he lost all sense of meaningful discourse. He became one of the most egregious political shills on social media.

When I started this project, I thought I’d go to his X page and pull down the one or two stupid things he says about Trump each day, and zing him here on Substack. I had no idea of the task I set for myself. I wasn’t getting all the stuff on my feed. I pulled up six tweets from just one day. But I was busy editing a video, so I didn’t have the time to get all the auto-erotic Trump posts Willie wrote on a single day. And I won’t even have time to cover the stupidity of the six quotes in this piece.

    Let’s dive in!

    X - 8 Oct 24

“Trump’s disinformation con, boosted and abetted by a political party, an expansive media infrastructure, and an entire political movement, is a challenge for the United States and a test.”

So much leaps off your screen here. I can tell you with almost 100% confidence that Kristol saw the same bullshit conversation on MSNBC as I did the day before he posted this stupid tweet. Some program regular parroted the same talking point almost word for word.

First, as you’ll see in the next girly rant, Bill doesn’t think Trump actual IS boosted and abetted by a political party - at least not in a strong way. We’ve seen lame asses and establishment swamp monsters inside the GOP work against Trump in order to maintain the status quo. These people don’t care about you. They don’t even care who is actually in the majority. They just want to keep their seats, their perks and the kickbacks from the cronies rolling in.

And expansive media infrastructure? Kristol sure as hell is not talking about the MASSIVE broadcast industry or every major newspaper in the country. Those are the lapdogs of the Left. That will become even worse now, since the lowest of the low, the Soros family, will soon own 200 US radio stations. The ‘EXPANSIVE MEDIA INFRASTRUCTURE” doesn’t help Trump at all. He’s got FOX and Newsmax and the soon to be shrinking talk radio networks.

Is he talking about the individual, self-directed, free-thinking people like the P4B, who bring you an alternative view point every day? That IS expansive. But you can’t legitimately call that an infrastructure. We’re on our own. Nobody issues us talking points like they do for the legacy media, who simply repeat the talking points. We have to research our own stuff, produce our own narrative. Yes, Trump gets a lot of support here. He even gets it from people who don’t particularly like him, like me or Megyn Kelly. We’re adults. We’re not voting for the prom queen.

And what the fuck does “an entire political movement” mean in this context. The Dems are “an entire political” movement. So are all the single issue jackasses out their. Each one of those have an “entire political movement”. The only thing Kammy has is the movement - carrying her, as she’s been carried all her life. On 20 June 24, the world considered Kammy a complete embarassment, a punchline, certainly NOT a viable presidential candidate. The next day, the “entire political movement” appointed her as the nominee and instructed the “expansive media infrastructure” to love her and promote her. Kammy hasn’t had to utter a single, intelligent thought of the her own…ever.

…“and a test”? We already passed the test. Trump was successful. He had a great term despite the efforts of the Loony Left to use Covid to ruin it. The economy exploded upon his election and was back on the same track post idiotic shutdowns, before Joe Duh was “elected” and ruined everything.

“Every day Donald Trump remains the leader of the Republican party, it is worse off than the day before. The decline is a constant, and there's no stopping it from the inside, which is why Republicans supporting Kamala Harris are only growing in number.”

Wait…what? Willie, didn’t you just say he has the “entire political movement” behind him? How can that be possible, and at the same time he’s being abondoned by the movement? Answer: He’s not being abandoned. Not really.

In this tweet, Kristol demonstrate that the label “conservative” he wore in past decades was a misnomer. He doesn’t have a firm philosophical grounding. He thinks conservatism is a purely political thing. It is NOT. Bill doesn’t understand that. I’ll discuss that more in the next installment of Kristol Krap.

Willie liked the GOP when it was headed up of Ivy League prats like himself. He liked it when he could talk of going to war in an effort to boost his own sperm count. When the Republicans were just Democrat lite and just as elitist. They were all in the club. Trump is being abandoned by retired post-Vietnam yes men, former empty uniforms. You can’t even say career hacks who ran our National Security apparatus are abandoning him now. They were never with him. They worked against him, on the inside, for the entirety of his term.

The media has been making hay about the idiot, Trump-wannabe Mark Cuban “turning on” Trump. Hell, he’s been blown back and forth across the lines on so many people and issues, he should change his last name to Pennant.

Big numbers are not abandoning DJT. He is growing his demographics in every respect, across all races and ages. The only people not growing in his camp are the ditzy wing of the suburban females - the ones who can’t order a cup of coffee with out thinking, “abortion, abortion abortion!”

And Bill, the crap about “White Dudes for Harris” and movements like that is a media contrivance, an Instagram concoction. It’s not real. That you brought it up makes you either stupid, or a political whore.

“The question I want to raise is whether authoritarianism captures the phenomenon we’re seeing. Or do we need to invoke the word fascism—or at least neo-fascism, or American-style fascism, or some other modification of that fraught and weighty term?”

In this little tantrum, we see Kristol abandon everything he’s ever learned. He was once admired for his ability to speak plainly, yet eloquently about the world as he sees it. Now he speaks as if he hasn’t mastered the English language.

A term can only be “fraught and weighty” if the user understands it and uses it correctly. Since Bill has failed to do that here, the term is wispy and girly.

What is fascism, Mr. Kristol? Is it being boisterous and whipping up crowds? No, people in every single political movement, Right and Left, do that. Is it exaggerating your own record? No, that is also common in any political movement. Obama and Biden are both the most egregious in this abuse and laughably so.

And what is “neo” vs “American-style” vs good old fashioned fascism? Did you just start a tweet, planning to parrot your Lefty buddies, and not come up with anything and hit SEND anyway? Please - if you ever look down your prominent proboscis, and scan these words - please explain how Trump is fascist. Did he take over American industry and force them to do his biding? Did he shut down news networks or take them over? Has he used the levers of government to harass his opponents as B. Hussein (peace be upon him) did? Has he imprisoned his political enemies as Obama’s puppet has?

No. He hasn’t. And all the same questions apply to your use of authoritarianism. Kammy wants to run the housing industry, the medical industry and all retail out of the White House. She is vilifying half of America. Isn’t that infinitely more “fascist” than ANYTHING Trump has ever said, much less did?

SWINNNNNNG…and a miss. Thanks for playing, Bill.

Wow. We have a show in the can and I have only scratched the surface of Bill’s brand of stupid in a few posts. Like most Dem speeches and the sorry debates we’re stuck with every political season, I could write a book debunking just about everything this nut bag says about the Donald. But that would be tedious.

We’ll continue with this exercise for a few more episodes. It’s a fun exercise. Soon, the election will be in the can. If Trump wins, the media will lick its wounds for a while and Willie may find another obsession. We’ll be watching. In the meantime, as Tucker Carlson correctly noted, it is not only okay to hold people like our subject up to ridicule, it’s an obligation. I’m only too glad to contribute.

  • Virginia at the cross roads

Look at these running shoes! Please support the P4B.

We’ll start with a bit of old business and move to the debate discussion in a bit.

    Program note:

We have started to transition The Jordan/Cori Show to Rumble. Rumble is a great fit. The notification process leaves a bit to be desired. The new email address has caused no end of headaches. So, check your spam and other inboxes. If you see [email protected] be sure to mark it as NOT spam.

You will still get the essays and audio here. And we’ll continue to load the show here as well.

    I did my research.

In Ep. 42 of The Jordan/Cori Show I brought up the challenge by JD Vance regarding the new abortion law in Minnesota. I winced a bit because to my knowledge, none of the laws permitting late-term abortions specifically had become law. I thought maybe California. I knew Virginia and New York were talking about it.

So I read the law, as passed in MN, and looked at the background. JD was right. I should have known better than to doubt him. And yes, you can get an abortion on demand at any time in MN. AND the baby can be PERMITTED to die if born alive.

The key is a devious bit of word-smithing insisted upon by Tampon Tim. A phrase was changed in the law. The requirement “make every effort to preserve the life of the baby” was changed to “ provide care for” the baby. This is a bit of legal two-step. “Care” can consist of life-saving efforts by a doctor with half a conscience. But it can also, without the least legal concern, include palliative care or hospice care. And the baby can absolutely be allowed to die.

Scenario: Disgusting, crazy lady comes in to a hospital 8.5 months pregnant demanding an abortion. One doctor might say, “kiss my ass, you’re too late.” It is legal to refuse to perform an abortion. But another doc says sure, and admits the woman. Before preps are made the woman goes into labor. No doc will start abortion procedures at this point.

So the baby is born. But the course of treatment demanded by the mother is abortion. The same doctor can say, “We have to respect the patient’s wishes. Give the baby pain medication and put it in a crib. RIP baby.

Before you call this in any way far-fetched (you’re thinking that no doctor would be that heartless), consider the Josef Mengele clinics popping up all over the country where actual doctors load kids up with hormones their bodies are NOT equipped to handle. Surgeons are severing the sex organs of perfectly healthy boys and girls. This is all done in support of a twisted fad. In 2010 no doctor worthy of spit would have even considered such a sick thing. But today, hey, there’s money to be made. Chop-Chop.

    As a segue to the Cao/Kaine debate…

I heard a stat today. My co-host and poll watcher, Ron Cori read a poll that said that in VIRGINIA the top issue for Virginians is the economy. I’m with my fellow Virginians so far. Number 2 is abortion.

Seriously? How is this even on your radar? Virginia allows for abortion at 6 months! 95% of abortions have been preformed by that time. The issue is a commonwealth issue. You already won that fight. Anything beyond 6 months would be barbaric. I tend to think since you have a whole baby in there by then, even 6 months is nasty.

Let the folks in the more restrictive states hash it out with their governors and state houses. YOU, Virginia, need to vote your best interest. That includes getting illegals out of our state, sane spending, lower taxes and actually making babies before the pending demographic collapse destroys what we do have. (The decline discussed in this piece will only be livable if our young adults start breeding! Of not, the pain of the next decade becomes the pain of the next 3 or 4 decades.)

It is a testament to the shallow nature of the electorate that so many people will vote for a clearly self-centered, incompetent candidate because, “Abortion, abortion, abortion!” or, “She’s a girl and I’m a girl, or I’m a manbun feminist. So, I’m voting for the girl!” Pathetic. Our economic situation and standing in the world will not be served by Nanny state control or daisies-in-the-sidewalk platitudes. We need a muscular, individualist approach to everything. The “girl” is a puppet for central planners.

And not for nothin’: People who work for her, hate her.

And now to Hung Cao and Tim Kaine

We’ve come to an agreement on The Jordan/Cori Show, that Virginia is a bellwether state this year. The Youngkin election was a small step toward red. And, if we exercise the lease common sense this year, we will be voting for a REAL economic foundation to build upon. You can pick any single issue you want; fat government paychecks, abortion, twisted trans fads. None of them matter if we continue down the magic wishes economic policies of the Left.

On the debate, I’ll just give you the down and dirty. Kaine lied outright repeatedly. Cao was clearly the most genuine, but appeared a bit nervous. Like JD, facing Tampon Tim, Cao missed several opportunities to lay Kaine out. He did have one banner moment when he talked about drag queens in the military. He got a few more applause lines along the way. The only applause line I remember for Kaine was his sloganeering about abortion. In a state, as I said, that allows abortion up to 6 months and limited abortion after.

    I’ll just cover bullet points:

    * Kaine said Iran was aggressive under Trump, attacking our troops. That was true for a little while because they were used to getting away with hell, thanks to B. Hussein’s love for them. But Trump decapitated the IRGC and choked off Iran’s money supply. Iran got real quiet. They wouldn’t crawl out from under their rock again until Barry O’s third term, when they knew they could attack us with relative impunity. Conclusion: Kaine - outright lie.

    * On the economy, Kaine said 4 years ago Americans were lining up to buy toilet paper and unemployment was at an all time high. The obvious response to that would have been to accuse him of intentionally misleading the listener. The toilet paper thing was a case of irrational panic, spurred on by the stupid notion of shutting down the economy because of a virus. The unemployment was a result of the same stupidity. Trump stood almost alone in his insistence we open back up quickly. Everyone knew this was correct, but the Left, including lame asses like Romney and Cheney were determined to ruin Trump’s term. The shut down was the tool to do that. As we finally started to emerge from the idiocy, Trump’s policies brought the economy roaring back. He was on the same trajectory post Covid as he was pre-Covid. And then the puppet was elected. The good times ended immediately. Conclusion: Kaine pretends not to understand economics.

    * Kaine blamed Covid for the inflation in the puppet era. This was a lie, of course. In both upturns we experienced under Trump, as hard as the LEFT tried to ruin both, we had increased productivity and economic growth. That’s how you grow with almost no inflation. Under the Puppet Regime, the money pissed away on green scams in all three of his spending packages ($ trillions) we had no value exchanged for the spending. THAT is where the inflation was born.

    * Price gouging: On this Kaine was slimy slick. Up until last week, the cackling hyena and Joe Duh had spoke of price gouging causing inflation. At no time did our pathetic media ask either of them to name who was gouging, because no one was (outside of airports and interstate plazas). Not a word of those lies had to do with any single event, until Kaine, the silly poof, exploited the disaster by lying about the meaning of Kammy’s gouging lies. Lying about someone else’s lies by lying. The modern Left has no sense of irony or dignity.

    * Kaine provided more immigration lies. This has been constant since the Reagan Amnesty. But to be specific, he spoke of the dogshit border bill the way the rest of the Left speaks of it - dishonestly. To see what the bill would have meant, check the 2:35 mark of this piece. All that garbage bill would have done was increased the size of the welcome wagon. It was intended to allow a minimum 1.4 millions unvetted, possibly diseased, often criminal foreigners to come in every year.

In short, Kaine spent the night lying his poofy ass off. And it wold be fair to say I spent all my time on Kaine and not Cao. That is because what you can say about Cao, across the board, is that he was a bit nervous, but level and honest. And he was right about why military recruitment is so pathetic. Normal kids don’t want to serve under a dude in a dress. The trans fad in the military is one genie we have to stuff back in the bottle; one bell we must unring.

  • SAMs to target Trump? And "Woe unto us..." (with 2 short video embeds)

I highly recommend you follow along in the text, on Substack, for this one. Trust me. It will be worth it.

    The back story

Our southern border has been a world class circle jerk for a long time.  It was made a lot more so by B. Hussein and his “Fast and Furious” insanity, and the incentives he provided the diseased, unvetted illegals to come here.

For those who think history started when they woke up this morning, Fast and Furious isn’t just the name of a series of empty-calorie action films.  It was also the name of an operation initiated by Obama to support a false narrative at the beginning of his presidency.

Near the end of his campaign, and during the transition, the Obama cabal was touting the story that guns in American were so prolific that even the cartels in Mexico were buying them, that we were creating crime here and around the WORLD!  Obama’s media fluffers immediately parroted the story and it became the propaganda de jour for a few weeks.

It was, of course, not true.  At least not in any meaningful way.  The fact is weapons manufactured in the Czech Republic or the Philippines are just as good, easy to acquire and CHEAP.  Those were the arms suppliers of choice for the scumbag, Mexican cartels.

With the narrative slipping away, and desperate to create a problem to solve, the Obama administration, through the DOJ, set up a scam through which guns would be purchased from legitimate gun dealers.  The dealers were told this was a hush-hush operation and they were assisting in the fight against crime.  In truth, they were unwittingly assisting the commission of several crimes perpetrated by Obama, Eric Holder and the FBI.

The ”administration” then recorded the serial numbers of the weapons and allowed to guns to “walk” into Mexico.  Just turned them loose on innocent Mexicans and waited for the inevitable – when one would be found at a crime scene.  Then Barry O could say, “See? Our guns are being used by Mexican gangs!  We need more gun control!”

Then one of Obama’s guns was used to kill and American Border Patrol Agent, Brian Terry.  When investigators traced the serial number of one weapon found on the scene, it led them to one of the shops Obama/Holder bought it from.  Law enforcement descended upon the gun shop.  But no one informed the left hand about what the right hand had already done. The gun dealer was arrested and immediately blew the lid off the criminal conspiracy cooked up by YOUR government.

The coverup commenced immediately.  Eric Holder committed the additional crime of contempt of Congress over a period of years, as Congress tried to investigate the mess.  So, after getting one of his agents killed in a conspiracy he hatched with Barry O, and thumbing his nose at YOU, Holder went on to be an overpaid corporate lawyer and elder statesman.  Barry got away without a scratch.  That’s because our media is as corrupt as the permanent governing class they serve, and Barry O especially.

So a precedent was set.  The border is now a political tool.  Who gives a shit how many people are killed, on either side of the border.   The government, especially the Left, had a new and growing plaything!

Trump, through executive orders, Covid restrictions and whatever shitty legislation Congress passed, did throttle back a lot of the sewage on the border.  But that didn’t last.

On the first day of his “presidency” (Obama’s third term), Joe Duh threw open the border to illegals and drugs.  It was an intentionally criminal act.  It was done to sew chaos, get American killed by the tens of thousands. and bolster voter roles, BY THE MILLION, at the same time.

Now, I told you all that to tell you this.

We like to think our government is above a certain level of mass criminality. But now we know they ARE NOT.  Especially at the border.  There is word seeping out that surface-to-air missiles (SAMs) have been smuggled across the southern border, such as it is.  There could be as many as nine that have come in.  At first, I took a pass on the story thinking it a bit odd.

Today I listened to two people outline the whistle-blower reports in such a way as to believe them – or at least give them strong credence.  According to sources, the target of these missiles is Donald Trump’s plane.

And it’s not just the way these people lay out the plot that has me leaning their way.  It is the fact that there have been three attempts on DJT’d life already.

The third aspect of this that puts my antennae up is the contention that you can’t pull off a job like this, with objects this big, without inside help.  Look at the fiasco in Butler, PA.  For months after, many people including me and my co-host, Ron Cori, have been talking about all the things that went wrong that day.  We questioned if there were inside people facilitating the assassination attempt or if they were just monumental fuck-ups.

All the things we railed about got us ALL labeled “conspiracy theorists”.  And then the oversight report came out on the subject. And we were correct, right down the line.  So, my next questions about Butler become these:  Now that ALL the conspiracy theories have been proven true about individual events of the day, are we now to believe that the Secret Service is just the single most incompetent group of assholes in US history?  Or does the number of “mistakes” make the idea of an inside job more viable?

If the latter is the case, why would smuggling SAMs across the border to kill a political opponent be even a minor stretch?

We’ll be following this story as it grows.  In the meantime here’s a button to the conversation I watched on Sunday.

    Slouching toward societal breakdown.

My friend and loyal subscriber, Linda came to me the other day.  She is increasingly upset with the quality of our government, politics, and society.  We were discussing how vapid and meaningless most of what we see, hear and read is; how stupid the media has become.

“How did we get here?” she asked.  She looked as if she could cry.  But she wasn’t just expressing exasperation.  She repeated the question and asked if I knew?  Over dinner I gave her my best answer.

I’ll address the question here with a primer excerpted from my book.  Then I’ll follow up with some additional comments.

From Street Politics: It Ain’t Your Daddy’s GOP Anymore by Matt Jordan

I hear people say our laptops and cell phones have destroyed our ability to communicate.  And those things have done some serious damage.  But the problem goes back much further.  To see the genesis of the problem, you need to look at the two previous centuries side by side.

Nearly everyone has seen the documentary series The Civil War by Ken Burns.  This was a masterful project based in part on The Civil War – A Narrative by Selby Foote, a historical epic.  Throughout the series you hear quoted several letters written by soldiers, from Corporal to General, including the shattering love letter written by Sullivan Ballou to his wife, Sarah, the week before he died.  To this very minute I can barely think of that letter without nearing tears.  And I’m a cynical bastard.

It can be said about all these correspondents, that they made a clear effort to communicate.  At the end of their letters, you knew their hearts and you knew their minds.  I flatter myself to think I might convey a message half as well as they did.

Foote, himself, exemplifies this rich and sincere communication.  The epitome of a southern gentleman, he speaks in a quiet, unassuming tone.  But his words carry luster.  You could sit in a chair, sip sweet tea and listen to him for hours.  There are others who provide this colorful clarity of expression; Hitchens, Will and Buckley leap to my mind since I have so much enjoyed their work over the years.

Sadly, such people are quite rare in our time.  I believe this has been caused by distraction.  Most of that is a product of our media.  I don’t mean that as criticism of the media as an industry - trust me, I’ll do lots of that later – so much as a statement about passive listening and an overabundance of content.

If you read anything from the early to mid-twentieth century, you start to see a slow slouching toward mediocrity, especially in personal letters, even schoolwork.  The trend follows almost perfectly with the beginning of the industrial era, then the radio age and spirals downward as technology brings film, television and finally personal electronics.  Now, just posting a hand-written letter is a lost social skill.  The only people who send me actual letters are all older than me.  For the record, I am somewhere between the ages of 29 and Stonehenge.

Modern politicians are not simply the product of this.  Many are well-educated and perfectly capable of concise, insightful communication.  But they actively resist the use of these skills.  They are counting on the fact that you are distracted.  They complain about the thirty-second sound bite, but wouldn’t trade it for the world.  They use them to churn out poll-tested buzzwords and ad hominem attacks on their opponents.  And by golly, if it wasn’t for a lack of time they’d say more, but…

So like the people I describe in the preface to this book, these politicians bend over backwards to not get into real discussions and possibly make a misstep.  They try to get elected because they are the most popular and said the least number of constructive things during a campaign.

The candidate who will win this election can be the one who says what needs to be said, but as I mentioned at the beginning of this chapter, says it right.

    But wait!  There’s more!

Indeed electronics, from early radio to fucking TikTok, have done considerable damage to our communication skills.  But we didn’t just become smart, informed people without a good speaking ability.  We’ve been coarsened and made more delicate at the same time.

We live in a world where we have the detailed combined knowledge of all history, science and literature in our pocket.  But with each passing day, that access does us less and less good.

    From A Fish Called Wanda

Wanda: [shouting]…now, was that smart, was it shrewd, was it good tactics, or was it STUPID?

    Otto: Don’t call me stupid.

Wanda: [still shouting]. Oh, right!  To call you stupid would be an insult to stupid people!  I’ve known sheep that could outwit you.  I’ve worn dresses with higher IQs.  But you think you’re an intellectual, don’t you Ape?

Otto: [smugly] Apes don’t read philosophy.

Wanda: [shouting] Yes, they do, APE.  They just can’t understand it!

We are fast becoming a nation of Ottos.  I listened to Eric Weistein address a question basically identical to Linda’s.  How did we arrive at a point where people talk, and text and fail utterly to communicate or learn?  Weinstein spoke of the internet destroying the sacred.  He wasn’t speaking of religiously sacred, although a lot of Christians would call that a major problem.  He was speaking of the historically or intellectually sacred; our million years of learning being “scrolled”, liked and emoji-ed out of existence.  Every day we move further from that massive compendium of knowledge.

That isn’t to say that we’re all actually stupid.  But our focus is too disjointed. We have become too susceptible to nonsense.  We lack, or are losing, critical skills to decide what is nonsense. And we are destroying our ability to communicate what we do think or know.  Some of our kids never had it and never will…if we don’t change.

How do most of us get our information?  Shamefully, it is on social media. We scroll, like, scroll, laugh, scroll, unfriend.  With too many of us, this process goes on for HOURS every single day.  At the end we’ve learned only what a disjointed string of two-second messages have left us.  Then it’s, oh well, time for work or time for bed.

Our kids are turning their lives inside out, worrying what people on TikTok or some other piece of shit social network are thinking or saying about them.  They are experiencing incredible stress when they are not staring at their screens to find out.  The kids, and the rest of us, are being programmed to respond to worthless input.  This is not learning.  It is not growth.  It has no value.  It damages us a little more each day.

But the worst effect of all of it is with each passing day, especially among the young, our social skills, communication skills and ability to reason become a little duller.  The evolution is not slow, especially in the young.  Bad habits seem to form more easily, and kids can form a bad habit in just a few hours.

Advertisers and political whores have mastered this tool to create drones.  Us.  Through the use of well-placed mini-messages, half of us we’ve been conditioned to believe the most stupid things.  Like a single gas controls all aspects of our environment; it doesn’t.  That a bowl of shitty cereal is better for your kid than bacon and eggs; it’s not.  That Donald Trump is conservative; he’s not.  That the knowledge of civics and economics is just for pointy heads.  That’s how Uncle Stinky gets away with giving trillions of YOUR dollars away to cronies.  And there is little more than a whimper about it; perhaps a mad face emoji.

The people who run social media sites, the people who create weird advertisements, the political whores…none of these people care about YOU!  In fact they seek to harm you – intentionally.  They WANT you to be a compliant drone.

But, as we established, all this didn’t start with the internet.  When radio “went viral” to use modern kitsch, a lot of very clever people immediately invented subtle or nefarious ways to bore into your psyche to get you to do, think or say what they wanted you to.

TV put this process on steroids.  By the 1970s it was frighteningly obvious.  Most of you are not unfamiliar with Howard Beale (Peter Finch).  But you know the battle cry he created.  To see how crazy things already were before there even was an internet, 1976, I submit two pieces of valuable, philosophical skepticism, a rear thing in Hollywood.  After the videos, I’ll come back and we’ll discuss them.  If you’re just listening, scroll to the YouTube embeds in the text.

Your audio starts again at the 20:14 mark.

Both clips are an indictment of the media AND the media’s consumers - YOU. They are crammed with universal realities still true today – worse today.  The tube has been replaced by a device that can turn on a dime to communicate the most precise, most productive message, at precisely the right time, to affect your thinking.  The same device can track your most minute eye movements to divine what turns you on and off.

We are more enslaved to the purveyors of this garbage than any Howard Beale ever dreamed we could be.

I find the first clip to be interesting for contradictory reasons. Both troubling.  The clip demonstrates how Trump found traction enough to become a real candidate for the White House.  Just by virtue of his presence and personality, he tapped into a visceral resentment we have of “establishment” and was rewarded with a massive response.  No matter how you feel about him, it was organic and happened very quickly.

The other troubling thing is the absence of such a spellbinding process to support Kamala Harris.  On Sunday a few months ago, she was a punchline, a person despised her own staff, and she was the last person anybody in the media would have said should be president.  By midday the next day she was brilliant, joyful and the savior of democracy.  This was because half the country is obedient to a tribal elite.  Nobody believed any of it on that Monday.  Nobody believes it now.  But through the new “tube”, your cell phone or laptop, you are instructed to believe, so you pretend to.

The second clip is also significant considering recent news.  The Blob is tripping over itself to fast track the purchase of 200 radio stations by the world’s nastiest power whore – George Soros.  The man is devoid of scruples or a conscience.  He will do anything to accrue more power for himself and his offspring.  “And woe unto us” if it happens.  And it likely will.

Also, the parallel between us and, “…you even think like the tube!” is obvious.  But now the problem isn’t how we imitate the internet.  We LIVE in it.  We are addicted to it.  Some of us, especially our kids, lose sleep if we haven’t gotten enough of it.

So Linda, and my other friends, yes. It’s been an evolution - getting us “here”. It was radio, TV, the internet and now the unholy beast - social media. But it only worked because we were weak. We chose to be used. We LOVE to be lied to. It was a process we could have sidestepped at any time in the last century. Can we get away from it now?

Let me assure you, reflecting on the issues you hear about here and at other skeptical, anti-establishment sites, the time is soon coming when you will need to fight back.  If you don’t overcome your addiction to all things electronic, you will be incapable of fighting back.  If that is how things are when that day comes, then ‘woe unto us’ won’t begin to cover the hell the central planners in DC have in store you.
