Pass That Sh!t Basketball Podcast

Derek Cooke Jr. never imagined he’d become a professional basketball player. After growing up playing football in Washington, D.C., he discovered basketball late, worked his way from Cloud County Community College to Wyoming, and eventually earned an NBA training camp deal with the Phoenix Suns alongside Devin Booker.

In this episode, DC talks about his unconventional journey, playing with Larry Nance Jr. at Wyoming, his path through the G League and NBA, and over a decade of professional basketball across Europe, Australia and beyond, plus how he sees the NIL era changing college basketball.

PassThatSh!t: D'Shawn Schwartz!

We had the pleasure of welcoming Rostock Seawolves forward D'Shawn Schwartz, who took us through his on- & off the court journey which began in Colorado.

From playing for the Buffaloes (& one season with George Mason) alongside Tristan da Silva & taking part in USA Basketball camps with likes of Jayson Tatum or Michael Porter Jr. to playing for the New York Knicks at Summer League.

From Vegas to Istanbul: While playing primarily for the second team at Fenerbahce, D'Shawn still was able to learn from EuroLeague superstars like Nigel Hayes-Davis or Carsen Edwards. At his first overseas club he grew as a player but even more as a human.

This growth continued in Le Mans, France. This was where Schwartz played on an international stage for the first time.

Meanwhile it's nothing new. Going into his second season in the German BBL, he is undoubtedly one of Rostock's key players.
