THE PRICE OF BECOMING AN ANSWER TO THE GENERATION
Saturday 17th September 2022
God doesn't do business with all the saints but with a particular category of saints. He loves doing His business with serious people.
Psalms 50:5 Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice
Throughout generations when you read in the bible, God doesn't deal with crowds but looks for the critical mass (Romans 12:1).
When it comes to salvation, there is very little you did, all you did was to say, "Jesus come into my heart" and God did the rest. From this point, there is another place you need to go to where ordinary believers are separated from men and women of sacrifice.
It took forty-five years for God to know that Abraham loved and trusted Him.
Genesis 22:2 Then He said, "Take now your son, your only [son] Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."
God wanted the one that Abraham loved (Isaac). This was the son he had waited for years and whatsoever was going on in the heart of Abraham was not easy.
Abraham had done many businesses with God but this was his turning point.
Read Genesis 22
Men of sacrifice don't just go anywhere, they go to places where God wants them to go.
Imagine what was going on in the mind of Abraham for all those days! His mind was running to and fro with doubt, fear, and confusion but he still kept on following God.
Sometimes that is what you need to do; keep following God even with the doubts and fears and leave behind some young men and go a little further with God than the rest because they will interfere with what you are going to do. Crowds have their place but there is a place where you don't need men or crowds.
Luke 9:18 One day Jesus left the crowds to pray alone. Only his disciples were with him, and he asked them, "Who do people say I am?"
Jesus exemplifies the same. You need to know when to be with the crowd, the eleven, the three, and when to be alone (Read Luke 9).
There is a place where you don't need men but it's business between you and God. We love crowds but crowds need results.
We don't find crowds up in the prayer room but in miracle and deliverance services. Therefore all you need is the critical mass around you with whom you ascend with to the mountain because change must come from a higher level and If you don't climb, you can not solve the problems of crowds.
Exodus 24:1-2 And he said unto Moses, Come up unto the LORD, thou, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel; and worship ye afar off. And Moses alone shall come near the LORD: but they shall not come nigh; neither shall the people go up with him.
Moses also exemplifies it for us. God told him to go up and he left the seventy elders eating and was caught up in glory for forty days and that is where God gave him a revelation and he saw Him in Genesis.
It's only men who are caught in glory who can see the Genesis of people's problems; he left the crowd, ascended with the seventy, left them somewhere, went up with Joshua, and entered the presence of God alone. This is the pattern of men who change the world.
If you are looking for crowds, you are not ready to change the world. You must ascend higher than others.
Exodus 24:10-11 and they saw the God of Israel. And [there was] under His feet as it were a paved work of sapphire stone, and it was like the very heavens in [its] clarity. But on the nobles of the children of Israel He did not lay His hand. So they saw God, and they ate and drank.
The seventy elders saw God and all they could do was eat and drink. May that generation never be named among us!
STAY BLESSED AND HIGHLY FAVORED, WE LOVE YOU. PASTOR BEN OCHOLA.
