There is a lyric in a song that says that everything must change and nothing stays the same.  It even goes on to postulate that nothing and no one goes unchanged.  For the ones who live life bound by the limitations of the finite thinking of mankind, this can be a rather perplexing and depressing state of affairs since familiarity and security are hallmarks of the “someone to count on” need of many people.

Reaping and sowing have a complimentary relationship that requires a specific order.  If there is no sowing there cannot be a reaping.  Sowing is the first part that represents planting of a seed.

Surrender and love may seem to be different but are more closely related than they appear.  Surrender is more than a term used in warfare, where it represents defeat.  Surrender is also a way of saying that I will set aside my own desires to meet the needs of someone else, just as love is expressed by meeting the needs of another person.

The birth of Jesus represents a time of change for all people.  It signals an end to the way things were done and a beginning of a new way.  His arrival marked the arrival of a Savior, one who would deliver us from this bondage we are in otherwise known as sin.

When you praise a child it helps their confidence and development.  When you praise a peer it helps them grow.  When you praise an employee it improves their morale.

Opening your heart is a form of surrender.  That is why God wants to reside in ours.  When we surrender ourselves to Him it is merely a result of us opening our heart and allowing the love that He has for us to take up residence in it.

It has been said that if you would just think for a moment, you will thank God.  Think of the time that He fed you.  Think of the time that He clothed you.
