The Word of God says that there is a season for everything in life.  A time to laugh, a time to cry, a time to plant and a time to pluck up.  There are also seasons of life that we go through as individuals and families.

As the leaves of autumn begin to make their presence felt, we marvel at the beauty of God’s creation.  Just as the colors signal a time of change that puts us in a state of awe, the observed changes of having a personal relationship with our risen Savior inspires a sense of awe in those who have known us before and after we accepted the free gift from God, salvation.   Now, is the time to introduce to those observers what a meaningful relationship with God can mean to them!

Standing next to a tree can sometimes make you forget you are in the forest. Becoming familiar with your surroundings can make you take things for granted. Just because everything appears to be where it was does not mean that it should be where it is.

There will always be people in your life who have no other function than to be a source of irritation and aggravation. How we deal with these people is important to our witness and testimony as representatives of God. The location of these people is not always where you think they would be, therefore we must prepare ourselves spiritually to deal with these often emotional situations.

Perfection is an interesting concept.  The idea that everything would be just as it should be is reassuring.  People doing what they say would certainly reduce the amount of stress we experience.

Do you know when you are being persuaded?  Can you identify the source of the persuasion?  Did you want to do it?

Every life has value.  God has given meaning to everything under the sun.  What that value and meaning is may not be easily understood.

Our bodies are the temples that the Spirit of God now takes up residency in.  We can and we should make every effort to take care of our physical, as well as, our spiritual well-being.  When we do this, it will have a productive impact on our intellectual and emotional health.

It is time for school to begin again. Each new academic year presents opportunities for goals to be set and met, dreams to be dreamt and fulfilled and promises to be made and kept. As we send our students off to learn, let us take some time to consider what area of study we can embark upon in the Lord.

Family dynamics are as varied as the snowflakes that fall from the sky.  They can   appear to be all the same when looked at from a distance or in a group but upon closer inspection you see that they are as different as fingerprints, everyone has them and no-one has the same one.  The family of God is made up of unique parts just like snowflakes, each with a function that is necessary and meant to work together.
