Titus 3-1-4 how we as Christians should carry our selves around others meaning everyone who crosses our path. this also means we can learn how not to act and the attitude we are not to have even though the world has it towards us. be loving God honoring but not standing by quietly allowing evil to prevail.

Acts 5-12-16 many signs and wonders wrought among the people. this was due to a renewed reverence in the power and ability of God to work in the lives of believers. It mattered not where they were God calls us to be the Church where we are most especially outside of the four walls of a building.

Why is it important that we set our minds on the things of God- Why is it important that we know and allow God to help us discern all things according to His perfect plan and purpose giving Him praise and honor even in our most troubling times.

Do you consider all that you possess- Do you ponder over its security- Do you dwell on it- Do you sometimes have sleepless nights that someone will take it from you- Do you worry over it- As we look at possessions and the obtaining them according to the word of God we cannot ignore that we should all know that the love of money is the beginning of all evil. I don't know though that you really understand what this means. Do we really see how money leading to possessions, wanting, and desires can take a Godly person and lead them into an land of fleshly desires far more troublesome even than just having more and desiring more material possessions. But I want you to see how Gods word warns of moneys dangers it does not condemn money in its self as money can be a gift from God, but again as we can see the love therefore of it exposes you to all sorts of evil thoughts and lust. As you listen to the word today take note that it is the wanton desire of man who craves what money can buy that allows pride and covetousness to take control. With all of this which feeds the man's ego can drag a man who might otherwise be rich in faith into a deep dark pit, into places where he does not belong, far away from where he Should be too a place even he inside knows he should not be.

What is the most uncomfortable situation you have been in- Maybe even better yet what kinds of things do you consider uncomfortable- Have you ever in all your life considered that some situations you have been in which at least should have made you uncomfortable- If you would think of it that way, and that it could just be that God seeking your attention allowed this situation to get your attention. While thinking about this topic I think it highly likely that you must get to a place where you recognize the situations in your life more as uncomfortable, than as something much more. This can be very difficult to accept without the correct focus and recognition of Gods sovereignty. What I mean is if you have gotten to a point in your life where you are more focused on the fact that for all those who serve the Lord, all things will work for good, for all those who choose to be seen by their actions beliefs and life style as children of God, and that when you can praise the Lord through trails, in all life situations you may be able to then see them more as uncomfortable bumps in the road, rather than total life wreaks. If you can begin to understand this your already a good ways in the right direction of allowing God to get your full attention. Can you begin to see the bigger picture here- Look with me here I want you to understand the differences in the different uncomfortable situations. We are still looking at the story of Jonah. We are looking at this from the aspect that Jonah had found himself in a most uncomfortable situation. A situation which began due to his deliberate attempt to flee form the presence of the Lord. Anyone willing to admit to yourself now. Only your self is all I ask. But admit to yourself that you have done the very same thing. Knowing human nature I would say that everyone hearing my voice has at one time or another in an attempt to satisfy your worldly flesh in which you reside in has at least started out to flee from the presence of the Lord if it were possible to do so. Think about that a moment as we look at what lead to this very uncomfortable situation for Jonah and how this could relate into your very own life and situations. Jonah sets out to flee from the presence of the Lord. Knowing the Lord as Jonah did this must have made him somewhat uncomfortable in its self, and certainly the storm at sea did not help matters at all. Do you think that just maybe the reason Jonah went down into the belly of the ship to sleep was at least in part due to his being in such an uncomfortable situation think I will sleep it off and when I awake I will be far, far away in Tarshish- On this storm frightened and caused the ships men so uncomfortable that they sought to find the reason for this great storm. Jonah has gone to very uncomfortable as he goes before the ships men and lots are drawn and the lot falls on him. Does he now realize there is no escape form the presence of the Lord or does he consider that just maybe at the bottom of the sea he shall find escape. Have you ever heard the voice of god speaking to you- Have you ever experienced that what I like to most often that still small voice that speaks to you of things that lie ahead. Maybe it says don't go down this path any further. Whatever it is that God wants to say to you he may speak in that still small voice our He may be very loud and clear. Maybe just maybe it all is really more about our be so over consumed with our lives and life styles that we only think that voice is small sounding to us because we are allowing it to be drowned out by what we value as really import. Often times that is the thing or things that we want, the things we think we must have, the things that make us look good. God gives us a free will to have and do anything we like, but contrary to the way many of us live, that did not mean that just because God will allow you to make a choice to have it, or do it, does not mean that it is what is good for you in the eyes of God and His plan for your life. That certainly gives us a few examples of why we can't hear Gods voce more clearly as this is where the flesh in control and the voice of God as we have said gets muffled out. Most hearing this message would find it hard to agree that you are anywhere near this problem and that likely only means that you are more in it that you think. This evening we will be looking back in Samuel only this time in 1 Samuel chapter 3.

None of you like to hear the word NO, as the answer to your questions right. As I have reminded to you so many times everything we experience in this life is either of God and for His glory or allowed by God to bring about correction in our life, Satan and his age old tricks and deceptions are intended to distract and consume and are allowed by God to touch our lives but what we do with those temptations is up to us. In this series we have referred to that as God seeking that we turn our full attention towards Him and come to realize the truth that nothing happens without His knowing, nothing happens that he does not allow. As a child of God, He being our heavenly Father provides our protection, provides our provisions, Gives us comfort, allows our rest, cuddles us in His bosom, sends us Joy, peace, and yes even spares not the rod of correction. Thus sometimes He says No. All because He is a loving father seeking to direct our paths to see the truth in how we are to live our lives to see His riotousness and truth as good, and to see evil and immoral actions for just what they are evil and wrong. So then no matter what it is you are seeking a new Job, new car, new house, a pay increase, better health, peace in our storm, and as we will see this morning even children are not exempt from Gods hand to get your attention. See the problem in the flesh is you want what you want and as we discussed briefly Wednesday evening most often our minds are made up and we don't want to hear anything different. Thus we most often miss when God is seeking our attention yes even through all of the many ways He uses to attempt to gain our attention.

We come this morning to our eighth message is this series teaching us to look with open eyes at the hard truth that yes that first God does want our attention. Second He will go to great lengths to get it, allowing things into our lives that many in this world in which we live will be unwilling to admit that God had anything to do with these things taking place in our lives. And as we will examine today allowing things to be taken out of our lives. The reason most people refuse to acknowledge that God has any part to play in these things is because that would not go along the image of the God they have built in their mind. God says humble yourselves before Him, for He is the one true God the only God and it is His ways which are greater than your ways. This is that which is right in His eyes is right no matter how it conforms to the false image you have built within your mind. Listen for Him as He is calling on us to all admit to Him our faults and short comings. This however is a very difficult pill to swallow. So many a man chooses to live under a lie of self-justification, and never face the truth in their own lives. So as we examine God allow the loss of possessions out of our lives lets also look to God desiring that our attention be on Him. Not the things that bring us pleasure in this world.--So then what will be of your possessions- How and where do your hold your possessions- This is a deep subject and there are many options here and we will not cover it all here today either- When we learn to look with eyes wide open in God wonderful way then and only then will the things of this world grow dim as God ways out shine the ways of the world.

If you look around, follow the news it would or should not be hard to see that this world in which we live is in great turmoil. There are fires, floods, tornadoes, earth quakes, hurricanes, volcanos, droughts, wars, diseases and if that is not enough. If the things of nature are not getting your attention what about the things that man is doing the continued and deliberate attacks on our liberties and the attacks on the moral truths that we as Christians believe in. Now I say that the things that man is allowing to be done on this earth in the name of political correctness, and the attempts to silence to voice of morality and Godly moral correctness in exchange for the so called rights of man, woman and children to be able to make choices not on educated decisions but what feels good. I am saying that Satan wants as your compass for making decisions to be that which feels good to the flesh, and the flesh being of the world will almost always choose that which is evil in the sight of God. Only those who have access to the word of God, those who have the opportunity to hear the word of God explained, thus giving them the truth there in will be able to make decisions that are in opposition to the flesh. As Satan pursues his agenda of silencing the word of truth from being spoken, moral decay grows. So is there a relation between natural disasters and this moral decay which we are seeing in this world. I have been preaching for the past few weeks a series of messages related to the fact that I believe that God is crying out to us flexing his power that He might arouse our attention that we would see what is happening in this world
