  • Ephesians overview “ 3:14-19, Pauls prayer (inner man: the human spirit), part 19.
    Sunday April 19, 2020
The human spirit has the nuance of motivator, or the wind and breath that drives you.
The Holy Spirit within us bears witness to our human spirit, revealing to it what it means to be a child of God. Therefore, made new creatures by the baptism of the Holy Spirit, being immersed into Christ, and having the Holy Spirit within us whose purpose it is to minister to...

  • Ephesians overview “ 3:14-19, Pauls prayer (inner man: the human spirit), part 17
    Wednesday April 15, 2020
We are currently studying the inner man, focusing on the human spirit.
The believer is made a new creature, meaning his inner man is made new, his inner flesh crucified, and this while the body remains for a while, until it is raised a spiritual body (spiritual meaning the life of God, not immaterial).
Being made new, baptized into Christ, we are to be like Him. Our inner man is to be just like His in obedience, character, and virtue.
The key to our success at being Christlike is the Holy Spirit within. We've read Isa 11:2 a number of times. The Spirit of the Lord rested upon Him and produced a spirit of wisdom, understanding, counsel, strength, knowledge, and the fear of the...

    C) Inner man.
Both the Spirit and Christ are working within. What does God tell us of the inner man? (soul, spirit, heart, mind, and flesh)
Soul in the NT: natural life of the body, immaterial part of man, disembodied man, personality, sentient part, will, purpose, appetite, individuals, inward man. [Vine's Dictionary]
Spirit: wind (primarily), breath. Figuratively as emotion, desire, mental, and moral qualities.
    Isa 11:2

  • Resurrection.
    Sunday April 12, 2020
Jesus was the only Man who ever lived who had life, what we would designate as spiritual life.
He was begotten from all eternity and not created. He is the eternal Son of God, the exact image of God, and who astoundingly became a Man.

  • Passion Week: Day 5 (perhaps Thursday); The Last Supper.
    Thursday April 9, 2020
Sometime late Tuesday afternoon, Jesus and His disciples left the city after an incredibly long day and headed up the Mount of Olives. They may have spent some time in the Garden of Gethsemane, but somewhere on the road that climbed the mount, they turned and noticed once again the beauty of the city, which the disciples pointed out to the Lord.
The Lord predicted the destruction of the Temple and the city, to which the disciples asked Him three questions; when shall these things be, what shall be the sign of your coming, and the end of the world? Jesus answers these question in the famous Olivet Discourse of which volumes have been written.
Upon returning to Bethany, attending the house of Simon the Leper (who is no longer a leper), Jesus predicts His crucifixion in two days' time, and significantly, Mary, the...

    Mat 21:1-11
And when they had approached Jerusalem and had come to Bethphage, to the Mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples, 2 saying to them, "Go into the village opposite you, and immediately you will find a donkey tied there and a colt with her; untie them, and bring them to Me. 3 "And if anyone says something to you, you shall say, 'The Lord has need of them,' and immediately he will send them." 4 Now this took place that what was spoken through the prophet might be fulfilled, saying,
5 "Say to the daughter of Zion,
'Behold your King is coming to you,
Gentle, and mounted on a donkey,
Even on a colt, the foal of a beast of burden.'"
6 And the disciples went and did...

[Article posted today by Steve Deace]
It took almost 20 years before the first polio vaccine trials and Jonas Salk injecting his own family with it to prove its integrity to America. After years of trying, science gave up on a vaccine for the first and less vicious SARS. We've had to evolve flu vaccines several times since the first one in the 1930s.
Translation: if you're waiting for a SARS-2 #coronavirus vaccine before resuming normal life, grab a Snickers. You're going to be here for awhile.
I know progressivism is the spirit of the age we're in. And many of our countrymen have been indoctrinated to believe government-contrived Utopia is achievable. This progressivism starts from the desired outcome first, under the assumption the ideal solution can always be had. Especially if...
