Have you ever done anything embarrassing before? Have you ever had an Embarrassing moment in your life? If we are honest, we have all had some embarrassing moments before. The woman found in John 8 had an embarrassing experience. Unfortunately, her embarrassing moment was exposed in a public way.
There are two types of people in the world. Peacemakers and Peacetakers. Our world has taught and conditioned us to look out for ourselves, and in many ways, embrace conflict. Part of being like Jesus is living the type of life that Jesus lived. Although Jesus spoke the truth, He did so in love. Jesus was a peacemaker.
Loneliness now crosses generations. Now we are seeing preteens and teenagers battling loneness. Today we are really battling against insignificance.
Ever feel like your situation is so hopeless that the only thing you can possibly do is leave? Just walk away, head out the door and never come back? In extreme circumstances, people can feel so much emotional pain that they take their own lives. Perhaps you’ve even considered that yourself. Loneliness is an epidemic. Recent studies show that more than 50% of people say they struggle with loneliness at any one time. Looking at those studies and having honest conversations with people, it seems that all of us deal with loneliness at one time or another. The fact is that loneliness not only affects us spiritually but physically as well. So what do we do about it?
When you think of Risk, what do you think about? Extreme sports, skydiving, free-diving to the depths of the ocean? Those are definitely risks, but do you know who’s really taking the biggest risk? The most risk-laden recreational sports in the world today are the "armchair Olympics" or the "couch-potato championships."
