When you hear the word worship, what comes to mind? Singing songs? A Church service? Reality is worship goes beyond that, worship is... a mirror.

We live in a culture without honor. We devalue people by being dishonoring.

Recently, while doing some Bible research, I discovered something in the life of Jesus that brought me to a full stop. It stunned me, and I’m still trying to process it. There is very little in John that is present in the other three Gospels. There is no teaching of Christ contained in all 4 Gospels, with only one exception.

Mother's Day in many ways is tough. While Mother's Day is dedicated to celebrating "Moms", in many ways it can be a day of hard emotions. For some it is the reminder of a loss, for other's it may be tied to the struggle and desire to become a Mother. Wherever you may be on the spectrum, one thing is true, being a lady in today's culture is hard! Everywhere you look, women & men are told that they do not measure up, aren't important enough, etc... God's word tells us something very different, that each person is uniquely and beautifully made in God's own image. The choice we have to make, is whether or not to believe it.

Throughout this series, we have talked about different people who were radically changed after encountering Jesus. Paul may be the most extreme example, as someone who once persecuted and killed Christians, then became one of the greatest evangelists in human history! Aside of Jesus himself, the church owes much of its foundation and the spread of the Gospel, to the apostle Paul.

Isn't it amazing how one moment, one mistake, can brand you for life? We can doing incredible things throughout our lifetime, yet one moment can stick with us forever. This is the case for the man we're looking at today.

While there are many opinions about Jesus, no matter what your personal beliefs are, even secular historians teach that a man named Jesus that really existed. Jesus really was put to death through the cruelest form of capital punishment. Interestingly enough, no one believes that Jesus is buried somewhere in the middle east! No one has ever tried to claim that a particular tomb is now the resting place of Jesus today. The world seems to agree on some basic facts surrounding Jesus. So the question is, if the tomb is empty what does that mean?

Most of us have heard of the encounter on Pilate's balcony, when the angry mob decided to set a man name Barabbas free, while condemning Jesus to die. The Bible doesn't tell us much about Barabbas, but have you ever stopped to consider how He felt in that moment?

In 1987, my High School Basketball team, was a pretty good team. We had a record of 4-1, and we were facing Lakeland Kathleen, a school we have never played before. When we walked in, the team was watching the girls game. They were small & unassuming. While students were coming up and looking at our two 6’7 players in awe. We thought, this will be fun game! As the game got going, you could hear the cheerleaders chanting, "You got it... now use it! You got it... now use it!" Well, Lakeland Kathleen got, used it and destroyed us like were weren't even on the court! We got incredibly humbled in that experience, because We thought we were better than we really were!
