A man cutting turf on a remote bog outside Dublin city couldn’t believe his eyes when he discovered the body of woman buried in the peat. He had just answered the question that the Doherty family had been asking themselves for the better half of a year “Where is our mother and wife?”. 29-year-old Patricia Doherty disappeared on the 23rd of December 1991 when she left her house after 9pm to go and buy her children Santa hats.

Ciaran takes us through the facts of the case as we know them today.
