From cooking everyone lunch on a Friday on one of his famous braais, to making early-on mistakes on social media, to the South African way of doing things, Patrick shares some never-heard-before stories of his history with magazines, buying his first Land Rover in the UK and which upgrades he chose for his first Tdi-powered 110.

Pat explains his exploits buying a crispy Disco 2, and the process of importing his beloved "Green Mamba" Defender 110 2.8i petrol from South Africa – to the detriment of Steve's Discovery 1's head gasket.

He recalls his time covering the G4 Challenge, following the athletes and immersing himself in the adventure spirit, and travelling to Moscow to get a feature on a Series Land Rover that went somewhat awry. Then there was the time he had a serious Land Rover crash while in the army...
