Paul and Caroline Daley review TV - Handmaid's Tale | The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel | This Is US | Westworld | Stranger Things

The big mid-season finale! Another Pearson Thanksgiving means emotions will run super-high, because that's just how they roll. Unlikely pairings abound with Nicky pairing up with Randall, Beth hanging out with Kate, and Kevin driving around Tess. All of this transpires while Rebecca heads out on an anger-fueled, timeline-hopping walkabout.

Uh-oh. It looks like there might be something wrong with Rebecca's memory (although she's not interested in admitting to it). After a day showing her around Philly, Randall has big concerns.

Also, Malik and Deja enjoy their first supervised date - for about a half-hour. Then the drama.

Kevin joins Nicky at his court appearance - after his tryst with Cassidy and picking a fight with a local. So, the day had some ups and downs.

The season 4 premiere was a wacky curveball, but the next two episodes made everything fit together. The new characters, the new settings... it all made sense. Once we were three episodes in. That's a big reason why we waited to put out a podcast. We may end up doing more episodes like this throughout the season, we may not. We'll see. If you feel strongly one way or the other, let us know!

Whoo-eee! This season has been on fire for the last few episodes and this one kept the momentum going. Can you believe what June did?!? In this podcast, C and I examine SEVERAL possible unintended consequences of what she did (or didn't do). Plus, we found out whether or not Serena set up Fred in the previous episode!

So many liars. Joseph lied to June. Serena lied to Fred. June lied to Winslow. Then did other stuff to him, too.

This week carries through with the momentum started in last week's episode in fine style. These are pretty big plot and character moments for our little cast of characters. Is this all building to a huge season finale in a couple of weeks? We sure hope so.

Now we know what they do in Gilead instead of watching TV at night, am I right? Just invite yourself over to a neighbor's house to witness their ceremony night and treat yourself to their snacks while the magic happens upstairs. I'm sure that everyone will have a great time and feel really close when the night's frivolity comes to an end.

At least the groove which June seemed to get back last week looks like it's found a way to get some traction with the other handmaids. She took a while to figure out that she's going to need a lot of help to get Hannah back and out of Gilead. But has she found the right leverage? Or will we all have to witness another season ending with June still stuck in Gilead? (Please, no.)

The medical establishment of Gilead applied "heroic" measures to save Ofmatthew's baby. What became of her and her body? Not so heroic. In this bottle episode, June goes a little crazy, Janine gets a new accessory, and Serena needs a new dress.
