Paul and Caroline Daley review TV - Handmaid's Tale | The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel | This Is US | Westworld | Stranger Things

Sorry! Did I spill my tomato juice?

We decided to put all of Midge's Catskills adventure into one super podcast (don't worry - it's about 70 minutes) covering all three episodes (Mrs. Maisel 204-206). Sticking mostly to Midge and Abe, the two characters with the most going on - and changing - during this period, we weave in everybody else when they cross paths with those two. We also do our best to sound literary as we make running comparisons to "To Kill a Mockingbird".

Remember, you'll never be Jimmy!

When Midge puts her foot in her mouth, she makes sure to get every person in the room's attention first. For that and other sins, she gets sentenced to The Punishment Room.

Whole lot of events happened in this episode. So much, you sort of lose track of the six thanksgivings that more or less took place last week.

Vietnam-era Jack received a cool welcome from Nicky and had to catch a ride with part-time good-guy, part-time VC, Bao. Young and in love Jack gave starry-eyed Rebecca a ride  to LA, and Kevin and Zoe got their search started in Vietnam.

In the quickest version of the IVF process in history, it's already time to harvest Kate's eggs, but only after a chat with her inner child(ren). We also get to see Jack give a flash of that steely resolve we've grown to admire as he manages to take care of his mother AND make Rebecca forget about what's-his-name IN THE SAME SCENE. I might have been wrong about Milo's chances of winning an Emmy for playing Jack Pearson. This season might prove me happily wrong on that prediction.
