Paul and Caroline Daley review TV - Handmaid's Tale | The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel | This Is US | Westworld | Stranger Things

Kate and Toby have to face Rebecca a little earlier than planned and Randall can't find a place where he fits in. It may be Philadelphia.

This Is Us came back while your intrepid podcasters were away on vacation. Couldn't have been avoided, but we're BACK and recording for YOUR listening pleasure. This first episode, originally entitled "Ave Maria" was unfortunately renamed as "Nine Bucks". Uhhhh. Let's give NBC a re-do and let them go back with Ave Maria, ok? It just makes more sense.

Everybody's back and everybody's crying, so everything's back to normal. Let's hurry up and get this done so we can get to week 2!

After Zog's misfired attempt to marry off Bean in the first three episodes, these three episodes show Bean finding her way as an individual. Of course, in the world of Disenchantment, that means facing witches, executioners, and monsters. You know. Normal, fantasy hoo-hah. At least she gets to become an ambassador for a day!

Since the episodes for Disenchantment are short, we decided to cover multiple episodes in a single podcast. In this first one, we look at episodes 1-3 of Netflix' new series.

You might wonder why we'd be interested in a new cartoon out of all the new content coming out. Well, it's a Matt Groening cartoon. The man behind The Simpsons and Futurama deserves a look whenever he puts out something new.

We plan on finishing this up before This Is Us gets started (we hope).

Still pre-Mike and pre-current format. We still actually tried to do news in this one! And a game! We're getting closer to the current format with every episode.

What the heck is THIS?

About a year ago, Daley Review entered into a partnership with some friends made only from online interactions, mostly revolving around our interest in the show Colony. We all decided to contribute to this new entity that we'd call "So Many Shows". We all wanted to try and cover as many shows as we could.

Along the way, an Internet Radio show began, with Daley Review riding shotgun the whole time. Today, we call the show "The Jay and Mike Show". In early incarnations, such as the episode included here, we called it TV Talk. Caroline and I plan on posting these episodes during this little downtime before Fall TV picks up. We hope you enjoy them. They're a little different than our usual podcast, but... we mean well. Caroline and I usually co-host twice a week. Mike actually joined the show a little later than this episode, but... I'm not making two graphics.

What started out with such great promise, coasts to a disappointing and abrupt conclusion. Listen in as Caroline and Paul enumerate all of the ways in which this cancellation fueled series finale disappointed.

Thanks to a couple of coinciding vacations and a lack of timely screeners, we're going to catch up by releasing two episodes in a single podcast. Bonzo.
