Today’s guest is our friend Paul Elliott.
Paul is the Director for the AI/ML department at pharmaceutical and biotechnology company, GSK. His team is responsible for the AI/ML services and infrastructure that enable researchers to leverage advanced AI. To develop novel therapies to existing diseases and quickly respond to new diseases with personalized drugs, driving better outcomes at reduced cost with fewer side effects.
Prior to GSK, Paul was a software engineer at Google. And prior to that, Paul worked in startups in Korea with Evan Lai, a friend of the podcast.
I met Paul in Mexico City for Evan’s birthday. Paul is a Korean Adoptee. And we had a great conversation about what that was like. And what his experience was like - going back to Korea as an adult. It was a fascinating perspective. And I felt like it was worth exploring on this podcast.
