Denaun Porter, aka Mr. Porter is one of Eminem’s longest standing collaborators. The two were introduced through a mutual friend back in the mid-90’s on Eminem’s independent full-length debut Infinite and have been working together ever since. Mr. Porter is not just a producer- he has also shared the stage with Eminem as part of D12 and as a solo artist for more than 25 years. From the dingy basements and rap battles at Detroit’s Hip-Hop Shop to 100,000 capacity crowds at Lollalpolooza, he’s been along side Eminem helping to perpetuate his meteoric rise. This week, James Larese, video director and creative partner for Eminem and Shady records that has been collaborating with them since 2009 to present day is Paul's guest. He has filmed over 20 music videos and countless other visual content with Eminem and this week Paul speaks with him on how he first started working with Eminem, what the best and worst parts of the process are as well as his deep love and respect for the City of Detroit.
