Sometimes we can view the saints and especially the Holy Family as being so perfect that they never experienced trials or sufferings. However, the reality is that it is by embracing these trials that sinners became saints. And as regard to the Holy Family, Jesus and Mary were without sin, yet they too, along with St. Joseph, experienced trials and difficulties. Fr. Patrick Cahill tells us why the Holy Family are not distant from our trials and difficulties and how in fact, they can very much relate to them and help us even more.
