Fr. Patrick discusses how we desire security for our future in terms of finances, health insurance, etc.  However the most important thing about our future is our eternal life in Heaven, which is often overlooked.   It is only those who do the Will of the Father that can enter the Kingdom of Heaven.  Heaven is not guaranteed for anyone.  We must work and invest on our eternal salvation.  Everything we do, even the most mundane act, can be turned into an act of love for Jesus.  Our greatest desire is to be loved and only God can fully satisfy this love.

Fr. Patrick Cahill addresses an issue that is often used to criticize the Catholic Church - that Catholics worship Mary. Fr. Patrick explains that the only One that we worship is God, but we honor Our Lady. Jesus is always in the first place, but we have devotion to Our Lady as She is the easiest way to Jesus, as St. Louis de Montfort has often stated.

Fr. Patrick Cahill explains how sometimes we can either see God as Just (Old Testament God) or Merciful (New Testament God). However, we cannot put God into a box or a category. We must allow God to be God, allow Him to guide us, teach us, correct us, love us.

Fr. Patrick Cahill explains how vanity is a trap that can get in the way of our faith. Vanity is wanting to be approved and liked by other people, yet our faith requires us to act, speak and live our lives in a way that may not be accepted by many.

Fr. Patrick explains how fear can cripple us at times if we allow it to take hold. It can hold us back, prevent us from progressing and most importantly, can prevent us from doing God's Will. However, there is an antidote readily available to all of us to this fear and Fr. Patrick explains exactly what that is.

Fr. Patrick Cahill explains how our Faith is a beautiful treasure that is underestimated. But there is a trap that we can fall into where we can make our faith is so private that it becomes completely separated from our personal life. We can limit our faith to the Church, to our time in prayer, etc but not allow it to influence and guide every other part of our lives. No one got into Heaven for what they knew. They got into Heaven for what they do. Actions are what gets us to Heaven. There is a danger of over-spiritualising, as well as the other side of the coin of not doing anything at all. Balance is key!
