  • S1E38 - Mitch Stephen - Real Estate Investor

Imagine putting $250,000 on credit cards to buy, renovate, and rent homes.  From my perspective, this is one of the most stupid financial decisions you can make.  In fact, my next guest almost went through a divorce because of this decision.  As you listen to this episode, he actually pulled off the impossible and made this investing strategy work.  Although he doesn’t recommend buying homes on credit cards today, he does teach his students how to obtain private lending for real estate investment purposes.  He has owned more than 2,000 homes and has perfected a method of achieving cash-flow without having to be a landlord and without having to rehab properties.  Please welcome Mitch Stephen.

  • S1E37 - Manuj Aggarwal - Data Scientist, Inventor and Entrepreneur

We live in a society where envy is significantly more prominent than appreciation.  As quoted by my next guest, “If you were to see what’s really going on in other people’s lives, you would see that it’s just as rotten as your own life.”  My next guest has a great appreciation for this life.  His journey began at age 15 where his first job paid $2/day.  With dreams of becoming more than a factory worker, he set his sights on computers and programming.  He saved every penny he could to pay for one technical class.  After clawing and scraping through education, he eventually moved from India to Canada to start a new life where he began his career in tech.  Fast forward to today, he has 4 patents in AI (artificial intelligence) and he’s been fortunate enough to work with some of the biggest brands on the planet including Microsoft, Pearson, and IBM.  Please welcome Manuj Aggarwal.

  • S1E36 - Dan Matthews - Copywriter

Sales is the lifeblood of a business but selling online is much harder than selling in person or over the phone.  When selling online you can’t read emotions, mirror behavior, or use body language to make the customer more comfortable.  Selling online is a science and even one wrong word can cause your prospects to run the other direction.  My next guest has a wide range of life experience that has allowed him to have a deeper understanding of how people think and he’s applied this experience to writing engaging copy that converts hesitant prospects into paying customers.  His specialties include Facebook Ads, Landing Pages, Sales Letters, and Email Sequences.  At the end of the interview he provides some profound wisdom on psychology and how we can change our mindset to achieve even the most impossible goals.  Please welcome Dan Matthews.

Imagine being offered $40 MILLION for an ecommerce business but turned it down because you had your eye’s set on $100 MILLION.  As you listen to the episode, you’ll learn he should’ve taken the deal.  Although it wasn’t the top dollar he was looking for, my next guest has already sold two businesses for seven figures each.  Now he’s working on his third company, a Software as a Service tech startup that is described as TikTok meets Zoom.  If you want to learn how to build and scale a tech business, this episode is perfect for you.  Please welcome Bernardo de la Vega.

  • S1E34 - Scott Choppin - Real Estate Developer

Imagine spending $100 MILLION DOLLARS on a project with uncertainty you’ll ever make your money back.  Welcome to the world of real estate development.  My next guest has been a real estate developer for over 20 years.  This industry is most definitely not for the faint of heart.  From the outside looking in, the risk to reward ratio is far off balance and would cause most people to pass out from sheer anxiety.  He started his career on the front line as an electrician.  He then went to school to learn the entire real estate development process.  Thereafter he worked for several developers as a project manager learning what he would call the entire “cradle to grave” lifecycle.  Then at age 32 he branched away and started his own company and now today his speciality is residential properties.  If you want to get an idea of what real estate development looks like, this episode is for you.  Please welcome Scott Choppin.

  • S1E33 - Fredrik Sandvall - Real Estate Investor + Entrepreneur

Imagine earning 700% in the stock market?  How would that make you feel?  My next guest started his career in the Navy, moved into management consulting, and eventually landed in real estate.  Contrary to most investors he started in commercial real estate and eventually transitioned to residential.  He used his gains in the stock market to help propel his real estate investing career forward faster and achieved financial independence at age 41.  Today he not only invests in real estate but he’s an angel investor in small businesses and a mentor for up and coming entrepreneurs.  Please welcome Fredrik Sandvall.

  • S1E32 - Harry Sanders - Award Winning SEO Agency Owner

Imagine being recruited as a high paid consultant at age 14?  This story began when my next guest witnessed his father get locked into a long term SEO contract.  Coming from a family that was already in a difficult financial position, this contract sent his family into further financial ruin. At age 14 he decided he would solve the problem himself and learn SEO.  By age 17 he was attending high school one day a week and making money hand over fist.  The problem with being really good at something with very little life experience allows emotions to easily take over.  With an inflated ego he left his employer on bad terms and spent his entire life savings on starting a new, and in his opinion, better business.  Unfortunately he didn’t think things through and ended up homeless in less than two weeks.  The rug was pulled out and he hit rock bottom.  At this point he made the decision to stay the course.  He loves SEO and he knows he can help business rank higher in search engines.  He decided to focus on providing the absolute best value he could.  Fast forward to today, at age 23 he is now a millionaire with the fastest growing SEO agency in Australia.  This is one of the most inspirational “rags to riches” stories I’ve heard in a long time.  Please welcome Harry Sanders.

  • S1E31 - Chao He - Mobile App Development

Imagine starting a project.  The client is excited, you’re excited, everything feels great!  Then the client requests changes, scope creep occurs, deadlines are pushed, and the project goes off the rails.  Then you figure out a way to face those challenges one at a time and eventually climb out of the hole, make the client feel good again, and bring the project back on track.  Welcome to the world of application development.  My next guest has a team of 40 employees where they build custom mobile apps for tech startups on up to fortune 500 companies.  He has a passion for service and providing top tier value through technology.  He and his business partner started this firm soon after graduating from MIT and they never looked back.  With a strong financial acumen, they were able to correctly build and scale a service business.  Please welcome Chao He.
