  • S1E44 - Tom Libelt - Online Course Marketing

Imagine having to smuggle liquor into your country as a means to generate cash flow?  The stress between getting caught and sent to jail or spending another day starving will leave a lasting impact on anyone.  Being raised in poverty stricken neighborhoods of Poland, my next guest learned how to hustle at the young age of 7.

At age 10 his parents migrated to the US and in order to make ends meet, they worked 3 - 4 minimum wage jobs around the clock.  He quickly learned that working a job should only be temporary.  To truly get ahead, you need to own assets especially assets that produce ongoing cash flow.

He’s owned and operated several ventures throughout his professional career but today he owns an agency that helps market online courses.  In this episode he talks about the do’s and don’t of course creation, why you shouldn’t listen to online marketers, and why the information age is dead. He also emphasises the importance of product/market/educator fit.  In other words, if someone is going to create a successful online course they need to not only find product/market fit but they have to truly be the right teacher for the job or they won’t generate any sales.  Please welcome Tim Libelt.

  • S1E42 - Mark Willis - Certified Financial Planner

Imagine moving to one of the most expensive cities in the US with over $120K in student loan debt and no income lined up.  Talk about a leap of faith.

My next guest and his wife began their professional career after college, serving a non-profit.  They knew they couldn’t rely solely on the non-profit to pay down the debt which means they had to buckle down on their expenses and work side jobs.

After years of following Dave Ramsey’s “snowball method” and paying off about half of the debt, they discovered they had really nothing to show for their hard work and sacrifice.  Although they were paying off debt, on the flip side, they weren’t saving for retirement.

At that point, their mentor introduced him and his wife to a concept known as “bank on yourself”.  He then discovered an investment vehicle with three important criteria:

    1. Keep your money safe.
    2. A competitive rate of return.
    3. Locked in gains.
    4. He and his wife used this product to quickly pay off their debt and put themselves on the fast track to saving and investing.

Now today, they run a financial planning practice where they help clients pay off debt and take financial control of their future.  Please welcome Mark Willis.

    5. S1E41 - Axel Meierhoefer - Real Estate Investor

What is the 1% rule and why does it matter?

In this episode, my next guest simplifies residential real estate by the numbers. If you were ever curious to know the key metrics to focus on with residential real estate investing, this episode is for you.

He served in the German Air Force and eventually moved to San Diego where he’s been serving as a program manager. Over the years he’s invested in real estate all over the US to create financial freedom. He talks about the mathematics of residential real estate investing, what parts of the US you should focus on, and how to scale your real estate investing business.

      Please welcome Axel Meierhoefer.

    6. S1E40 - Ali Awad - Personal Injury Attorney

My next guest has been an entrepreneur pretty much his entire life.  In grade school he was selling Dragon Ball Z graphics to his friends. In middle school and high school, he was selling electronics on eBay.  By the time he reached college he knew we wanted to become an attorney so before he graduated with a Law Degree, he put out educational videos, to build an audience.

Although the entrepreneurial DNA is strong with this guy, he did something unexpected after graduation.  He went to work for a law firm so he could learn how NOT to run a law practice, how NOT to lead employees, and how NOT to manage client expectations.

One key topic we talk about on this episode is the importance of hiring great people and that paying more up-front can actually save you money in the long run.

Today he owns a fast growing personal injury law practice with 21 employees and he has his sights set on growing that firm to 100 employees by the end of 2021.  Please welcome, Ali Awad.
