Imagine striking a deal with a Shark Tank host but in this circumstance, the shark calls you without you even appearing on the TV show. My next guest has a history of building and selling successful product based businesses. He has a knack for licencing highly ergonomic problem solving ideas. Now he has a product called Love Handle which is essentially a brandable strap that goes on the back of your cell phone. This product managed to catch the attention of Daymond John and his staff at the Shark Group. Soon after a surprising phone, a deal was negotiated and now today this product is one of the fastest growing cell phone grip accessories on the market. If you want an inside look into the world of licensing, manufacturing, and selling small price point products, this episode is perfect for you. Please welcome Mike Watts.

"Once you earn a million dollars per year, you will probably do well the rest of your life. That’s because you no longer believe you can do it, you’ve shifted to knowing you can do it because you’ve already done it before.” These are wise words from my next guest who built an online business that generates $6M per year and he was able to achieve that without advertising. So the question you may ask is how did he do it? As stated by Liam Neeson’s character in the Taken franchise, “I have a unique set of skills.” In his case, he’s exceptional at leveraging the media to scale businesses. Please welcome Josh Elledge.

Imagine turning a real estate investment of $14,000 into over $300,000. How would that make you feel? My next guest has been a real estate investor for over 30 years. She’s invested in properties that produce passive income for her and her husband, she’s invested in properties that have funded her children’s education, and she’s even donated a few of her properties to help those in need. This is a highly educational episode on real estate investing and I know you’re going to love it. Please welcome Kim Avant-Babb.
What if you were an introverted accountant and then one day decided you wanted to flip your career on its head and get into sales? I bet if you did the research on this type of career transition, it would probably be less than 1%. My next guest did exactly that. He spent the earlier part of his career as an accountant and then eventually made the transition to sales and actually became quite good at it. He climbed the ranks in corporate America and then decided to branch out on his own. Today he runs a sales training company where he helps small and mid-sized businesses increase their sales conversation ratios not only in person but over online conferencing platforms such as Zoom and Teams. Please welcome Jeff Brandeis.
My next guest pretty much stumbled into the career path of an entrepreneur. At a young age he witnessed his father struggle with neck pain and noticed that pain would be reduced through chiropractic treatments. He then went onto chiropractic school which lead to him establishing his own practice. The problem is, like most professions, school doesn’t teach you how to sell or generate revenue. He had to learn on his own and one of the best ways to generate revenue is by networking with strategic partners. Through the power of networking he met an individual that needed help producing a podcast. That individual just so happened to be Andrew Warner, the host of Mixergy, one of the most popular podcasts on the market. While operating his chiropractor business, he also produced Mixergy for six years. Now today he owns an agency that helps podcasters connect with strategic partners and influencers so you can generate ROI without heavy selling. Please welcome, Jeremy Weisz.
My next guest has a background in the auto industry as well as the insurance industry and he turned his attention to business lending where he founded a company that helps provide lending for real estate investing. Not only is he a lending partner but he provides services to help investors reduce risk and make wise investments that produce positive cash flow for the long term. If you’ve ever wanted to get started with real estate investing, this guy is a great place to start. Please welcome Dex Trailer.

Everyone faces adversity in life to some degree . It’s what you do with that adversity that determines your future. My next guest has certainly faced his fair share of challenges. Some of which were self-inflicted and some of which were the product of his surroundings. He’s sold drugs, been in and out of jail, and faced extreme poverty. When life beats up for not years, but decades, and you don’t give up, that means something. This guy knew he was meant for more and he eventually started connecting with the right people which allowed him to hone on his true calling which is coaching. I typically wouldn’t invite a coach on this podcast because those who know me best, know I don’t deal with fluffy motivational BS, preached by prideful fake gurus. But, this guest is different. Before he became a coach, he was practicing what he preaches and was highly successful as sales. Using a proven process and applying the right mindset, he discovered that achieving your goals, isn’t too far way. You have to hear this story, I know you’re going to love it. Please welcome, John Marrone.
Imagine retiring by age 40 but wishing you would have taken action earlier so you could have retired by age 30. My next guest has been investing in real estate most of his professional working career. We walk through the circumstances that put him on this path at a young age, the choices he’s made, and how he spends his time today. He also provides some wisdom on how to take action. Please welcome Gary Wilson.

Have you ever thought about day trading stocks? Those who know me understand that I’m not a fan of trading. It’s high risk and over 90% of people lose money doing it. In most cases, you’re better off going to the Casino. At least they’ll serve you free drinks while you lose money. Well my next guest has been trading for 10 years and he’s one of the 10% that found a way to make money with trading. In this episode we’ll be talking about the risks of trading, the differences between investing and trading, and the time required to actually make money at trading. Spoiler alert, he spends about 10-12 hours per day. It’s actually a lot of hard work. If you’re curious about the world of trading, this episode is a great place to start. Please welcome Clayton Allen.
My next guest co-founded a company called Carlypso after graduating from Stanford Business School in 2013. He went through YCombinator (same startup accelerator as AirBnb, DoorDash, Stripe, Reddit etc). He Raised a total of $10M in venture funding by 2015 and sold the business to Carvana.com in 2017. He stayed with Carvana for 3 years and left in June of 2020 to start a digital auto loan refinancing platform. Our new business is all around helping Americans with challenged credit and they are doing their part to address income inequality. They are closing their funding round as we speak and should be off to the races!
