Pea Ridge UMC Sermon

This week is Christ the King Sunday. It is the day we celebrate that Jesus is our Lord. Our sermon comes from Isaiah 9:2-7 and focuses on how Jesus fulfilled the expectations of the long-expected Messiah.

This week, Rev. Shannon Blosser builds on our Sunday sermon from Amos 5:14-15, 21-24. He discusses what it means to worship God as individuals and as a church.

It's Reformation Sunday! This week, Rev. Shannon Blosser concludes our sermon series on how we welcome people we have a hard time accepting. Our sermon focuses on how we embrace people of different political views as followers of Christ. The sermon is a reflection on 2 Kings 10:15 and Ephesians 4:14-15.

This week's sermon continues our "Embracing" series. Our focus is on how the church can reach younger generations with the love of Christ. During the sermon, Rev. Shannon Blosser interviews four students from the Wesley Foundation at Marshall University about their experiences in the church.

This week we begin a new sermon series called "Embracing." Over the next four weeks, we will look at what it means to recapture the Christian idea of hospitality as the practice of welcoming all people and treating them as our friends and part of our family. This week's sermon is from Matthew 9:10-13 and looks at the theology of welcome, what it means to exclude, and how God calls us to embrace people in a divided time.
