This week is honestly a very chill talk about life and our thoughts on our brains. Nothing special, just a quick sit down between Jessica, Julianne, and you as our listener! Hopefully you enjoy our casual and typical type of conversation. We were a little all over the place, so bear with us XD
We found a new content creator! Well, not new... We're joined with our good friend Niña Atienza to discuss being a content creator and the different processes of recording, how we got into the creative parts of our content, navigating through the different types of "creating" we do, and a lot more. The three of us also dive into how us being young content creators doesn't really feel like that, and how it just feels like us being our normal teenage selves.

I'm sure everyone has ambitions or dreams; could be small like wanting to start a new passion project, or something big like going to an Ivy League school for college. Same with dreams, we have ideas set in our minds for things we could or couldn't reach. Regardless of what the case is, Jessica and I (Julianne) sat down and had a pretty candid conversation about our lives and thoughts on the topic.
Cancel Culture: a common social media term that refers to mass withdraw of supporters or followers of a famous person on a platform due to a comment or action normally considered as taboo or offensive. Though it is good to hold people accountable, cancel culture can be super harmful to a person's health and to their lives in general when "cancelled" wrongfully, or even just excessively. In this podcast we address the bigger parts of cancel culture like hate, mob mentality, and different celebrities we've watched go down this road, hopefully bringing some attention to shed some light on the topic of how cancelling and holding people accountable are different.
After being in high school for so long, we've learned quite a few things in most areas of a student's life. In this shorter, mini-segment podcast we go through five different tidbits we think all teenagers should hear regarding school life, dating, self worth, and a couple of other things that are worth the listen. Of course, this is a candid conversation: we laughed, had to "bleep" a couple of things, and just want you to feel like you're in the room with us talking these crazy things out.

Coming from an immigrant family or parents while being raised in America is tough in more ways than being "an outsider" to some. You feel at home but out of place, embracing both cultural aspects to you. We are not strangers to this, and I (julianne) will tell you now: this is a story of major ups, downs, loops, and circles. We discuss the aspects of being in a diverse community, the "Asian standard" in school, beauty, and just trying to be Asian-American. Hopefully this sheds some light or help you realize you aren't alone when it comes to struggling to be who you are.
As teens, we have a tendency to nitpick at our flaws, the most prevalent being our appearance and/or weight. Both of us know and have gone through this, and have tried so many different things or gone through some tough trials just to try and achieve those goals of being "skinny", but sometimes those ways aren't the best route to take. We'll go through the types of fasting and diets and why some can or can't be healthy for you, and of course, throw in our own experiences.
Crazy few months it's been podcasting alone, but after some planning and great teamwork, Jessica and I introduce ourselves as co-hosts and give you all the scoop on who Jessica Zhang is and how this partnership came to be. We also discuss our friendship through the years, interactions with others, and way more that you'll just have to listen for.

It's almost been half a year since this podcast was started and the whole outbreak became an integral part of how we function. I decided that, in the spirit of back to school season, I'd just do an overview of how the pandemic has been good, bad, and extremely strange overall. This episode is a much more relaxed and conversational, so I hope you enjoy!
