  • Keep The Faith
A dear friend who is unashamedly our daughter’s second mother posted the following:
Someone graduated at the age of 22, but waited 5 years before securing a good job.
Someone became a CEO at 25, and died at 50, while another person became a CEO at 50 and lived to be 90.
Someone is still single, while someone she graduated with in HS has become a grandmother.
Obama retired from politics at 55 and Trump entered politics at 70.
Everyone in this world works based on their own time zone.
People around you might seem ahead of you and some might seem behind you .
But, everyone is running their own race, in their own time.
    Do not envy them.
They are in their zone and you are in your zone.
    Relax
    You're not late.
    You’re not early.
You are very much on time.

  • Promise Land
Join Andrew in acknowledging grief, as we look towards the promised land. The past few years have not exactly been easy, and it is okay, to not be okay.

  • God Is Always At Work
A clergy friend and colleague, who happens to be one of the most upbeat and caring souls I have ever encountered, posted the following:
It was crisp and cool and lovely on my Wednesday morning run. I felt sluggish because I didn’t sleep well- But I ran anyway.
While I was running I got off the trail at one point. I couldn’t see which way to go. I was feeling frustrated, because I couldn’t focus on running or breathing, or anything really ….
And the way was not clear.

  • Horseshoe Living
Trusting God At All Times Daily Devotional. ‘You know how every time you buy a car all at once you start to notice how many other people seem to have the same car?
    Weird, isn’t it!?
Or, how about those times you remember a song you haven’t heard in awhile - maybe haven’t heard in several years - and then a few days later you hear it on the radio?
    That’s weird, too.
Maybe it's because we have recently bought a horse farm, but I’m starting to make horse farm associations and I have determined Jesus wants us to love like a horseshoe. Here’s why:

  • Don't Look Away
Trusting God At All Times Daily Devotional. It was Mr. Rogers who said, “When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, ‘Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.’”
That is good advice and one of the things that draws people to a healthy church is its ministry to the scary things in its community and throughout the world.
In our community here in Lynchburg, those scary things include food scarcity, homelessness, and poverty.

  • Stop
Trusting God At All Times Daily Devotional. Today's devotion comes from Andrew... at least to begin with, but instead of our normal devotion Andrew has an invitation for you, and we encourage you to take it.
